*You won’t duff a chip again!*
I beg to differ 😄
Alex, hold my beer 🍻🍻

The guys I golf with are starting to hate you and Danny Maude! I'm 10 strokes better this year because of you two, and kicking their butts! Thanks So Much!
Haha thank you ❤️❤️
I have used the toe down method. It works great.
I know all of this but often forget when I get over the ball. Thanks for the lesson and the reminder.
I've seen this demonstrated before by someone else too(a few years ago), good tip.
Alex, it’s easier chipping off the short cut around the green. how about showing how to chip from the deep rough behind the sand trap where us high handicaps live!
Been doing this for quite some time now. Works great out of deep rough. Although I do set my heel higher
You sure make it look easy. Will report back after todays game. Thank you for great tip.
You can do it! Let me know how you get on!!
Alex I did better than you. My first attempt from about 35 meters went straight in the hole. Several others were much closer than I have ever been getting & what's more played 3 under my Handicap!. Many thanks Alex keep up the excellent work.
Alex, I have a tendency to drop my right shoulder at setup, with irons and hybrids, as I would if I was hitting a driver. The result is I don’t get great contact on the ball (tops and thins) is there any practice routine that you would recommend to help my setup. Mickey
I’ll definitely try this drill-thanks, Alex! Quick question: it seems like your clubface is slightly open relative to the target (pointing right), similar to how your stance is aligned left of the target (open stance). Am I seeing this correctly? Should both the clubface and stance be square to the target, or do you recommend opening them to the same degree? If the latter, why? And is there a video where you explain this concept?
Also, I am just having a hard time grasping this concept, because if you only lift up the heel of the club while changing nothing else, wouldn't that make the clubface open automatically? Wouldn't you HAVE to adjust by CLOSING the clubface in order to compensate for the lifting-heel action (which opens up the clubface)? So, to implement this technique, how to you adjust your stance and clubface to go up and down to the target?
Yeah you are seeing this correctly, i alwyas like to do this, it’s certainly an idea to cover in another video for sure! thanks for tuning in danny
@@AlexElliottGolf Thanks! So, to confirm, you have your club toe-down & slightly open the club face-which would double the tendency for the ball to go to right-but then you compensate for that by opening the stance accordingly? If yes, man, wouldn't that be so difficult to aim properly?
You're looking sharp these days mate. Fair play.
Haha thank you
I'll go give it a try this afternoon.
love that Chadd!!!
@AlexElliottGolf this helped so much, it flew a little further than I was expecting but I started to get an better idea of pace to it.
What wedge did you use?
Bedankt
Thank you!!!!
Well? Did he stick it? Cliff hanger?
Alex, does this work in deeper rough?
Hmm i would say you would need to open the face a bit more
@@AlexElliottGolf ok, thank you!
Nice Rolex, thanks for being an adult and wearing a mechanical watch….and the lesson too. 😅

What on earth is a 'quarter'?! :D
This is like the same technique thats been taught for 60 years.
60 years ago I started playing; this was one of taught techniques I remember but there were others. I don't remember the use of an alignment stick. For decades I was pretty good and used various techniques depending on the circumstances. Now practice is harder and this simple way might be the best way to get good, remain good with little practice.
Just because you're a slow learner doesn't mean we can't be reminded.
Personally i haven’t taught this technique, thanks!
Yes, and still very few use it. So this video is very helpful. I used to chip like this when I started playing and it worked well... until I decided I'm the next Phil Mickelson and it all went South. Now I'm back to a much simpler move, similar to what Alex is showing, and it makes life around the greens so much easier.
That won't work. I'd certainly still duff it. I went to this course in Scotland once, and the greens keeper casually mentioned to me, "Vee doen git no dougheffers heere".
Maybe you will but it definitely worked for my student - hope it helps you
