Another great Rory reaction! Yes, Rory was a special human, no pretense, no BS, and he gave members of his band opportunity to shine. This was part of a performance on The Old Grey Whistle Test BBC program in 1976 and it was Rory's 28th birthday. The entire show is outstanding. Suggest checking out "All Around Man" from this same show - it's a must-see and you won't be disappointed! Anyway, thanks, and keep on...

Love watching your reactions and seeing how you appreciate what us older folks were lucky enough to grow up with. Rory could have been bigger but kissing record companies butts didn't sit well with him. Saw him Detroit back in 70s, one of best concerts ever been too! We definitely lost this greatness way too soon but glad to see you youngsters keeping it alive. RIP Rory, Lou and Rod.
That mid-70s band was my favorite band of his. Try "Souped-up Ford", "Calling Card", "Moonchild", or "Do You Read Me" from that era.
I remember seeing Rory playing 3 nights in the National Stadium Dublin- it was completely wild- he always played Bullfrog Blues at the last encore.... I remember it now clearly, the excitement- wow they were a really loud band when playing the loud songs like ‘Souped Up Ford’. Actually on this BBC special (remember there was only 3 tv stations in Britain (UK) and almost nobody got to play live concerts on TV. But when this song ended (bullfrog blues), the credits rolled - it was live tv - the cameras kept filming and he did an encore of ‘Souped Up Ford’ and the extended show was eventually released by the BBC... I think it is on RUclips:.. it’s a song about well a souped up or pimped up Ford.. Des in Dublin
