      I agree, they are the best radio we have. I can say in over 26 years doing this, It's the first time the question of "𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩'𝙨 𝙗𝙚𝙨𝙩" is easy to answer. The answer to that question used to be a long conversation and not always the same radio was best for them. Now when they ask what's best I ask "𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝗶𝘇𝗲?" Small is the Lincoln II+ and large is the Stryker SR-955. Both get a 🏆. Thanks for the good words and thanks for watching. 🆂🅲🆁🅴🆆🅳🆁🅸🆅🅴🆁 𝘽𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙨 🔔 𝘾𝘽

    Hello hope all is well, new suscriber. I have a Galaxy Melaka that lost about half of it's receive after I let off the key, I have changed several parts like relay, crystal next to it, the 1674 next to the relay, the little 10.7a filter in the same area, removed and resoldered the coil at the back, changed the 455 filter and still week receive. It talks fine, just week or about half the receive, the RF gain makes no change when adjusted. I'm a novice repair guy not a tech but try very hard. This is friends radio that has a fixed income he is an older gentleman and I'm just trying trying to help him get back on the air. Any help or suggestions would be great and very much appriciated. Sorry for my bad spelling lol. Thanks you for your time.☮

    • @BellsCB
      @BellsCB  2 года назад +1

      The biggest clue you gave me was the RF gain doesn't work. That will be your direction to follow towards the front end of the RF chain (beginning of the receiver). Check out D15, D16 and TR-17. 𝑺𝒄𝒓𝒆𝒘𝒅𝒓𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝘽𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙨 🔔 𝘾𝘽

    I’m confused. The radio after tuning is showing 70 watts. It’s a 70 watt radio out of the box. So, what good did the tuning do?
    Also, why don’t you show the scope pattern with the mic gain turned up all the way?

    • @jordanjacobs2440

      70 watts and 90 watts is pretty much no difference! You don't want a over driven radio thats gonna blow up

      Tuning is just doing a full factory alignment and making sure the factory did their job which in most cases you will find a few cans(inductors) out of tune.
      Properly tuned means its just going to be functioning at its optimal output and performance.If you want to see mo watts..get an amp.

    • @icemanrrc
      @icemanrrc 2 года назад

      @@577buttfan no shit. Doesn’t answer my question to screwdriver. Power output increases on tune and alignment on almost every radio he does a video for…… except this one. I want him to explain why. If you will look on his website, it lists the power output after tune for every radio, including this one.

    • @icemanrrc
      @icemanrrc 2 года назад

      @@577buttfan that has nothing to do with it. Either a tune increases the power or it doesn’t. Doesn’t matter which meter. Before and after should have an increase.

    You're not very liberal with the fine points of information. Specifically which Watt scale are we looking at. At 3 mins it was confirmed this was video was as informative and watching an amateur unbox a radio. Or watching paint dry. I could only guess the N4 was putting out either 350 or 700 PEP.

    • @BellsCB
      @BellsCB  2 года назад +2

      First of all, the radio you are posting under is a Stryker SR-955HPC, Not a Ranger2970N4. I spend literally HOURS on these video's. They take me about 10 hours of processing time (EACH). Time at home all night and most times till 2-3AM., putting things like 𝙍𝙀𝘿 𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙨 𝙖𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙 𝙚𝙖𝙘𝙝 𝙬𝙖𝙩𝙩 𝙢𝙚𝙩𝙚𝙧 as I referred to them, oh except ONE time at 3:00 minutes. Really? I not only put red squares and rings around what I was talking about, I also stated the power many times verbally. If that is not enough, I spent the time to put a complete chapter list of each section and at what time mark. I also listed what power level was shown at each one. the blue time mark will send you to each spot you want. That is also on the red bar on the video showing where things are. Each power level is listed there too in case you were not sure. It is under the video where it says "show more".
      It looks like this:

      This is a Demonstration / Tune-Up video showing what Cherry Bombs Radio is doing. It is for 𝘾𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙮 𝘽𝙤𝙢𝙗 (as the title suggests) to see what it does and how well it does it. I didn’t intend at all for you to watch it and learn how to modify a radio or tune it up, or anything else like that. I never stated that…that's why I call it a Tune-up Report. I report what I have as a result of the tune-up to the owner. I have been doing that for the last 𝟮,𝟭𝟬𝟬 𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗼𝘀 … I am sorry if it isn’t what you wanted. But it certainly is 𝗠𝗢𝗥𝗘 than what you said it is, to me, to Cherry Bomb and to hundreds of other viewers.

      @@BellsCB Right you are it is a 955 the Cherry Bomb radio you're checking. You did identify the DK meter. I have both the 955 and N4. I was focusing on PEP readings, and, perhaps thinking of the N4. Never heard mention of which peak watt scale. I was trying to discern whether it was 350W from the N4 or was it 70W from Stryker. Either was possible. Not thinking, it was late. Appreciate your time spent.
