Got my tea, got a rainy Sunday evening, and got my favourite wood whisperer. Right this moment, life is truly wonderful. As the song says, "Somewhere in my youth or childhood, I must have done something good." Thank you for all the ways you make life's moments better for so many, Angie. You are appreciated.
Thank you for always leaving great comments!! ❤️
It is a GOOD morning! A new video from Angie! Very informative and a glimpse into her creativity. Thanks Angie!
A walk down memory lane...
Nacho is STILL adorable and this flipping video is awesome!
I agree, he's pretty cute!!
Thanks for sharing these! Forgot how much I loved the industrial cabinet. Also loved seeing Nacho during his internship.
You're very welcome! I'm glad you enjoyed it! 😊
The neutral look is in these days. I like all of them lol Angie you just have the touch and vision. I love seeing not only what you do but the mind process you got thru before actually doing it. I can't believe Nacho was that tiny before either, he is such a beautiful baby. Hope this finds you all happy and healthy. See you next time!
Thank you so much for watching! 😊
Angie, I discovered your channel about a year ago and love everything you do. Lately I have watched a few similar furniture restorers and find that I often compare their work to yours. Many skip the steps you take, like sanding before cleaning and not paying attention to details. They don't take the same care that you do. And most don't share the same personality and thoughtful design. Thank you!
You're very welcome! 😊
I am a orangie, yellowish sort of amber coloured pine lover. I’ve got quite the collection of solid pine end tables, coffee tables, cabinets. The big square coffee table was naturally distressed by small grandchildren using it as an “office desk” and toy surface when we were the daycare space. The old pine colour compliments my love of warm orange comfort inducing colours in general. That said, I loved all the iterations of pine here, especially the first big heavy piece. Great work Angie.
Always glad to see your talents giving wood another chance.
Thank you so much for watching! 😊
All of these pieces turned out great. My feeling about painting furniture is that if it gives it a second chance and saves it from the landfill it’s a win. There are so many options with redoing furniture and I’m not partial to any one type. All of your pieces turn out beautiful. 😊
Thank you very much!! 😊
I see my dresser! I'm excited to see what you will do 🙂
Loved how all these pieces turned out, just beautiful, never boring just amazing the transformation.
Thank you so much!
I enjoyed seeing all of the different ways to work with pine- but the kitten Nacho? I don't know how you handled the cuteness!!!!
He's distracting for sure! He's still so cute!!
You, Miss. Angie are a master craftsman. Beautiful work as always.
Thank you so much! 😊
Thank you for the Nacho clips. He is so adorable. Reminds me of my Tigger who has passed.
You're very welcome! I am so sorry for your loss.
My favorite was the next to last where you cut off the wavy parts and turned it into an apothecary. 🙂
I love that one too!
I love the little clap you did when the draw slid in perfectly on the last piece. I marvel at how amazing your work is and would love to have even a quarter of your talent. Nacho is such a gorgeous cat. Thanks for always showing your critters. Love and hugs 🩷🐨🦘
You're very welcome! Thank you so much for watching! 😊
OMG Angie! Do another like this series, please. I'm not a complete novice, but getting ideas like this or just tips in general from you helps a lot! Maybe another vintage catalog thrown in for good measure, for the ones like me that try to keep the retro looks. LOL
Thank you very much for watching! 😊
Oh! baby Nacho, so adorable!
Wasn't he precious???
Hey Nacho! You must be quite proud of your purrson!
I loved EVERY one of them you did! You took that orangy tone away & made them perfect!
Thank you so much for watching!
It was so interesting how you conceived of each project and then brought them to life. My favorites were the bedside tables and the dresser at the end.
My favorite piece of furniture is my great grandmother’s Victorian-era pine dresser (has the attached mirror on a swivel if you know what I’m talking about. My mom put it in my bedroom when I was little-painted it white to go with a gawdawful amount of pink in the room (pink sheets, bedspread, lamps, curtains-it was like waking up in a bottle of Pepto Bismol). Anyway, the dresser came along with me as an adult, and years ago I had a pro strip off the white, treat the wood so it was more hydrated, and stain it with a walnut tone.
FYI Angie, I never got a notification for this video. I came across it by chance, This platform is getting really wonky.
I love the way you always point out important information like the necessity of priming until the staining does not show through, even it if takes multiple layers. Great results as always. And love seeing your helper with four paws: precious baby footage of Nacho 😺❤ Thank you for shaing.
I am generally not a fan of rustic for my own home but I love the way the barn finish turned out on the night stands and the apothecary dresser is superb!
A lot of people would not spend 20 minutes per drawner freshening every surface but it truly is the difference between perfectionism and just okay. And the third life for the final piece really is classy. You always get great results because you are the rare person willing to go the extra mile. You are raising the bar for everyone who is re-doing furniture !
As I sit here at my cottage with knotty pine walls watching all the different things you did with pine furniture, my gears are turning. An Algonquin wash would be a nice update without loosing the cottage charm. Always fun to see your creative process.
I'm so glad you enjoyed it! 😊
Omg, Baby Nacho is precious! ❤
Love the way these flips look at the end!
Thank you very much! 😀
I honestly don’t know how you come up with all these different designs.. you do such an amazing job.
Thank you very much!
I love how all of these pieces turned out with your meticulous work. Thank you for sharing!
You are so welcome! 😊
I really loved the first piece. The change in focus with the light stain really brought out the curves and gave the piece a brighter feel. I don’t know if the coloring of the 2 nightstands in real life is the same as they appear in the video, but on the reveal scene the finish coloring is almost identical to the vase on the left one. All of the pieces look fresh and ready for another generation of owners. All of them are beautiful. And Mr. Nachos is such a snuggler. ❤❤❤
He really is! He's such a sweetheart. Thank you so much for watching!
Love seeing the evolution of your craft! The best part of the video, of course, was BABY NACHO!!! 😊😊
Wasn't he adorable??
I loved everything you did to these pieces. Especially taking off those wavy edges.
Thank you so much! 😊
Hi Angie, my parents built a home in 1964. My mom wanted distressed beams on the ceiling of our family room. She beat the beams prior to the finishing with a big chain… like the gage off the chain you would use on a trailer. I learn so much from your videos. Thanks!
You're very welcome!! ☺️
I love the work you have done today or shown today. I have a pine set of a dresser to chest of drawers and two bedside tables. They are very much the yellow pine. I am moving the dressing table into chest of drawers and as I do not need them, nor will I have the space for them, but I am keeping the bedside tables. You have inspired me on ways to treat them to fit with the new decor in the my flat I moved into. It had just been stripped out with new kitchen and bathroom and repainted, curtain and carpeted to a very high standard by the sellers. Thank you for sharing your ideas and designs with us. I love it when your video drops into my box.
You're very welcome! I'm so glad I could help give you so me ideas! 😀
Your whole video made me laugh, when I went to live in a dorm when studying this whole furniture flip was my second-hand buy. I looked at that orangy stuff for a couple of years, Angie 🤣It all became beautiful with your touch.
I'm so glad you like them!!
I would give house room to any and all of these pieces--beautiful.
Thank you so much! 😊
Very informativ. Thank you! 😀
Thank you for this episode on pine. Love your videos. You are artist, woodworker, chemist, educator. Love your style and voice.
You're very welcome!! ☺️
Very Entertaining for a Clip Show. The Focus on Pine Made it Work!
Thanks so much for watching!
This version of it seems to be the best! 🙂
All 3 of these pieces of furniture look so amazing!!! ❤❤❤
Love your videos and Nacho and the other furry babies.
Thank you so much! 😊
BABY NACHO ❤❤❤❤❤ Hermoso!!! I love him! Send my love to your family and the cats and bunnies! ❤
And thanks for the pine flipping. Lately is all we can afford in my country 😅. So is good to have ideas on how to work on pine!
You're very welcome! ☺️
I love how you transform furniture, Angie. Thanks for the inspiration!
You're very welcome!
Ooooo they all look so good!! You are so creative and have such a great eye for interesting combinations! I love seeing what you come up with!! Thank you for sharing some really beautiful ideas!!
The timeliness of this video is astounding!! I have a pine armoire that I am attempting to refinish in a somewhat French provincial style. It is 200 years old, and it has been repaired with newer woods and needs uniformity. I'm hoping I can emulate one of your creations in this video! Always enjoy your incredible talent and attention to detail. Thanks for the great ideas!
You're very welcome! Best of luck with your piece!! 😀
Got to say, I'm usually a natural wood with stain kind of person and I normally hate paint but these came out really nice. Great job!
I do a lot of full restorations but sometimes a bit of paint on lesser quality wood (and especially plastic laminate coated wood, or Formica) can keep something structurally sound from being tossed just because it’s a bit rough or dated cosmetically.
Really enjoyed this look back at pine pieces you have worked on. I always look forward to watching your videos, your talent and creative style are superb. Keep your excellent and informative videos coming Angie. Thank you.
You're very welcome! ☺️
Love your videos! One of my favorites was when you explained the different types of wood found in most furniture. Would love more videos like this one with some of those other types of wood. It is amazing to see all of the different ways that one type of wood can look.
Thank you so much for watching! 😊
I know you’re a tattoo artist so is that how you became such a great paint stain guru lol. To make pine look so rich and snazzy. Love when you post videos. Always something to learn 🇺🇸❤️👍🏼
Thank you Jodi!! ❤️
This was an outstanding video. The transformations were perfect for my taste - I've never been a fan of dark finishes. Always a treat to see any of the cats as well !
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great video. Incredibly informative. Thanks for sharing. Paint vs. stain vs. whatever, as long as a piece is saved from the landfill and in the hands of someone who will use it, our purpose is met. Cheers 🍀
You're welcome! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Excellent inspiration. Loved that last one finished with the wash.
Thanks so much! 😁
Thank you Angie they were all brilliant but I love the last one most❤❤👏👏🤞🙏🏻🙏🏻🩶👌👌👌
You're so welcome! I'm glad you liked it!
Thanks Angie, for another great video. Greetings from Ontario 🇨🇦☺️.
Awesome as always, Ange. My favourite was the bedside tables, just stunning. 😍
Thanks so much! 😊
In the apothecary style dresser, I am one of the people who love the scalloped wood cottagey look. I was so bummed when you removed it. But I should have trusted you- it looks fantastic now!
I'm glad you like how it turned out!
This is so, so helpful! I have an Ethan Allen, 1990s pine bedroom set, and these remastered-pine pieces give me hope for mine!! Beautiful artistry and vision and execution!!
Glad I could help!
Beautiful compilation of pine wood furniture restoration. ❤
I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
Loved the bedside tables... colors were amazing...I have a shiy yellow chest of drawers and feel inspired, although the list of furniture waiting for love is piling up already...hahaha Baby Nacho was gorgeous...as always
Sounds great!
You always do a beautiful job of restyling furniture.
Thank you very much! 😀
Piece number one: I-love it, totally better. Number 2: I thought you were a genius. It is beyond belief what you have done. Master job. Number 3: I do like old pine… even a bit orange. When you were denting it I was quite tense, I must admit, but I kept the faith in the end result. It paid off. Very pottery barn. Number 4: Good choice removing the wavy bits. You made it look expensive!!!! I am amazed and I love it. Number 5: double flip? First flip ok, but not crazy about it. Second flip: much better. And well done… you are a worker!!!
Thank you very much for watching! 😊
Love, love, love everything. Most of the free wood I get is construction grade pine. I have always struggled with getting a nice stain look without the blotchy look.
I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
Fantastic pieces as usual. I am currently refinishing, new to me pine furniture for my living room and seeing what you've done here is so inspiring. Thank you for another wonderful video ❤
You're very welcome! I'm glad to help! 😀
At 11:00 in, YES Im still watching, love your vids and always learn a lot from you! Appreciate your detailed explanations.
I'm glad to help! Thank you very much!! 😊
The idea of a pine veneer blows my mind. Who wants to make something cheap look... Still cheap?
I love them all! Especially the 1st and the last! Thanks so much for sharing. Yes, it was inspiring!
You're welcome! ☺️
My favorite is #4!
Love all of them, you have a very elegant taste and I adore Mr. Nachos he's so adorable. Please keep up the great work you are doing. And please can you make one with the steel wool color if you can please and thank you
Ohh my goodness WOW WOW stunning transformation ❤ thank you for sharing this amazing piece of furniture ❤
You're so welcome!! 😀
I am a serial rewatcher (probably have 2 views on half your videos and 3+ on the rest 😂) so these are all very fresh in my mind but still loved the extra info thrown in!!
I'm glad you still enjoyed it!
These were all great! I couldn’t pick a favourite. 😊
Thanks so much for watching! 😊
BABY NACHO!!!!! and his 88 toes 🥰
Where I live, pine is SO popular for furniture! I don't mind the yellow so much, but when it gets orangey, I hate it! I have two pieces in my living room (coffee table and a console with the electronics for my TV and stuff) that I bought second hand, which were hand made bespoke for the previous owners. I liked the color when I got them, but they're starting to get a bit orangy. One day I'll find someone who will take them and redo the finish so they're a touch whiter, and not as glossy as what I have now.
Always happy when I see a video from you! All the pieces were great, you are brilliant!!!
I'm so glad you enjoyed it! 😊
Love this! Thank you!
Awesome compilation video Angie!
I'm glad you enjoyed it! 😁

Thank you so much! 😊
Awww ❤ Baby Nacho
Love the video too but totally a ginger cat girl 😂
He is pretty cute!!
Thanks for sharing your knowledge and techniques, I love what you’ve done to these pieces.
You're very welcome! ☺️
By watching your video, I had learnt a lot about painting Pine wood furniture and what styles of stains I could use whether to go for the light version or to the dark version. Plus, the steps needed to apply before and after sating your pine piece. Just when I was thinking of using pine (your video had helped on what the different pines are) to make a bookshelf to put onto my current entertainment units. I'm pretty sure they are made of pine but have different coloured stained applied to them. I'm going to have a browse through your other videos on other ideas. Thank you.
You're very welcome! ☺️
Love your taste and creativity!
I'm so glad! 🙂
I love knotty pine! It is so pretty. I'd love to pickle my roll top pine desk (it is already naturally "distressed", lol). But, I don't know beans about doing that, and with all the other things that must be attended to, it will probably never happen.
Super awesome and so unique. Your style, colors and vibe on these pieces is inspiring ❤
Thank you so much!! 😊
Brilliant.
Thank you so much! 😊
Girl, you are amazing. What a video! Thanks for it!
My pleasure!
You do beautiful work!
Thank you so much! 😊
Love them
Thank you very much! 😀
