    Loved the amount of work that went into this! I do kinda wish it would've been broken down even further to figure out how to watch each episode of both series' in chronological order but this was still great. Love this kind of timeline content!

    • @AbitofEverything4U
      @AbitofEverything4U  7 месяцев назад +2

      That's a cool idea to harmonize the two timelines together. Because I've broken each episode down by month it wouldn't be hard to do. I have the images for the timelines on the googledrive, if you ever want to try to create your own episode by episode watch order: drive.google.com/drive/u/0/folders/1R_PrexMkTjYpQAraxlhzs2U5EPJEPioc.
      But honestly, it's also tough to know which episodes to watch first if multiple epsidoes hit in the same month. Other than the crossovers between the two series, there isn't any way to know the specific day of the month that an episode occurs, other than in a few instances and so it could be mostly dealers choice in that regard. Anyway, very cool suggestion. I might do that and place it on the google drive at some point.

    Yes! More timeline stuff! First off ... I did not realize the Symbiote saga was in season 1 ... wild. Also ... season 2 was a 14 episode long arc? WOW. Also ... big oof on those newspapers haha. So as far as the work-study job ... that to me sounds like what we do in the UK in Secondary School which is effectively work experience (thus not paid). But I feel like this is very different because there's no way we'd get to work as a teacher haha. For the symbiote part he could be saying he conducted tests on it a few months ago ... but yeah that's weird. At least Season 4 seems to still be consistent, I don't know if I ever saw the Prowler stuff. Also, Black Widow? You mean Black Cat. It is interesting the show ends in December 1996 since that then lines up with the events of X-Men 97 ... and given how casual Peter seems to be in Tolerance is Extinction Part 2 you have to assume he's found the real Mary Jane at this point, right?

    • @AbitofEverything4U
      @AbitofEverything4U  7 месяцев назад

      Great point! Yeah, for the X-Men TAS timeline, that was critical to do, since it was aired completely out of order. For Spider-Man's series, it seems that the production order and air order are similar, which makes those newspaper dates jumping around all the stranger, tbh.

  • @jakeproven256
    @jakeproven256 3 месяца назад +2

    I need to mention something, while Spider-man TAS seasons 2-5 aired correctly and is deffinitley the right order, season 1 is more confusing. The version you showed was the air date order, however, a dvd release from the UK and the wikipedia episode list is different. There Sting Of The Scorpion is the second episode the spider slayer episodes are third and fourth, Menace of Mysterio is fifth, The Doc ock episode is sixth, the symbiote arc is 7, 8, and 9, and the kraven episode is tenth. I think this works better because in Sting Of the Scorpion in the beginning, Felica tells Peter she dosen't want her and Peter to start dating, this ties to the Doc Ock episdoe where Peter says "finally a date with Felica Hardy" also, in that same episode Spidey is on the phone with Aunt May, and she says "I've invited Anna Watsons Niece Mary Jame" this implies Peter and MJ haven't met yet. So I've always felt the production order of season 1 was the right order.

    • @AbitofEverything4U
      @AbitofEverything4U  3 месяца назад +2

      Great point! Yeah, I agree...it sure seems like production order is the way to go. But for the video I was using the D+ order and it's weird because D+ did fix the issues with the X-Men episodes and has them in the correct order, but they haven't fixed the Spider-Man episodes. Maybe we need to do a write-in campaign to get D+ to change their order. Cause my fear is if I went with the correct production order, then I'd get comments that I changed the order from D+. Anyway, totally agree with you. Excellent feedback on the vid!

      @@AbitofEverything4U Would love for them to take that extra effort to tie in the other 90's shows. Out of curiosity I watched the last episodes of the Iron Man show and The Incredible Hulk. Hulk ended on friendly terms with Ross, as well as She-Hulk getting flirty with a Shield agent, who was also appreciating Banner's tech and how useful it would be for Shield. Seems like a great point for Banner to become a Shield asset and lead into a government Avengers. Not that everything has to be about the Avengers. I've just always been interested in what if the X-men movies evolved into the MCU and the Avengers form as a consequence of and response to mutant threats. If the main version of the team that will be coming to his universe are also not even from his universe like the version of the team on Earth-838 obviously I know that universe has its own version of the team who do originate from that universe but you get what I’m saying although I don’t really think that they’ll be connected to the timeline via the void so you can just Connect them to the multiverse timeline via the TVA or the Loom as a placeholder in the meantime until the film comes out next year & we know it will connect to the timeline by the end of it also cool knowing Galactus is going to be in the movie and that’s been officially confirmed, and also he will be in more than one project alongside his Herald also yes the F4 Hulk & Iron Man shows are not set in the same universe as Spider-Man & X-Men

    I noticed some of the two-part episodes, like Hobgoblin 1&2 and Make A Wish/Attack of the Octobot were placed in different months on the timeline, although I recall those episodes led into their conclusions without a time gap. Perhaps I'm missing something, but any particular reason for this?

    • @AbitofEverything4U
      @AbitofEverything4U  7 месяцев назад +2

      Great questions. So Hobgoblin 1&2 was a mistake. I was torn on whether “you're a little late for Halloween” should indicate November or December. And somehow ended up with one in Nov and one in Dec. lol. I'm going to move them both to December, since there are no classes so it could be winter break.
      As for Make A Wish/Attack of the Octobot...season 3 is so hard since it seems there aren't many good places for a timeskip and yet we need to move the timeline forward. However, Episode 2 does indeed lead into 3. The gap is between Episode 1 and 2, and not between 2 and 3. I'll update both on the google drive. Thanks for catching those!

    With how good X-Men 97 has been, and just seeing the number of cameos they're throwing in, I have to think they're planning something big so I'm absolutely going to go through all the 90s Marvel shows once we get the Making of 97 special. I'm excited for Spider-Man, but it'll be awhile before I get to him because I have these scheduled out like they were when they were released. I'll pretty much be playing it up like it's the 90s and I'll be bouncing back and forth from series to series, episode by episode, as if it were week to week. Probably not the best way to do things, but I'm curious to see how well it could work out, too.
    I have seen some of Spider-Man already though. Back in the day when RUclips was a real wild west of uploads, someone uploaded every Symbiote related episode. This was around the same time that Spider-Man 3 had released so I was really interested in seeing more of the Black Suit and Venom and then eventually Carnage, too. It was the best, so I really hope it holds up because I also don't remember half of it anyway.

    • @MCLegoboy
      @MCLegoboy 7 месяцев назад +2

      @@AbitofEverything4U It should be interesting. I'm a big fan of context so if nothing else, at least upon a first watch, go with a release order. I've always had this kind of a thought experiment with Star Wars, but since I already know everything, I can't say it would be all that impactful, it would have to be with someone relatively new. Since I haven't watched any of these shows save for X-Men recently and oneoff episodes years ago, it could prove to be interesting just how inline the producers may have been trying to keep things for crossovers.
      Although I know there is this discrepancy between the different series and what is or is not canon. I'm not going to worry about that too much only because I imagine that if any characters have a history they reference like in the Spidey Secret Wars or something in X-Men 97, it will likely just be from the 90s shows, but from a universe where everything was just off to the left by an inch that makes it align with X-Men and Spider-Man.
      And besides all of this, I've got Disney+, I might as well be using it for something instead of just waiting around for new episodes of Marvel and Star Wars. Particularly in 2024 after all those strikes last year.

      @@AbitofEverything4U So you told me to keep you updated on how it's going. I've only just started Iron Man and Fantastic Four and I have to say that these two shows are really rough. They're suffering a bit from explaining everything they do as they do it even when everyone should know what's happening regardless. I'm liking Fantastic Four more than Iron Man but it also just depends on the story. The big thing though is that I watched the 4th episode of Fantastic Four, which isn't on Disney+, and I can see why it's not there, but then I start the 5th episode of Iron Man, and the same thing happens!
      So when the Twin Towers are destroyed in Fantastic Four, it's only a simulation of the plans the Skrulls intend to enact, and it's on a control pad that Ben Grimm thinks is a video game. The Twin Towers snap in half from missiles, a couple other buildings get blown up and he exclaims, "This is great!" and then goes on to say that the Skrulls are destroying New York but pats himself on the back for being a hero and he can stop them all in this video game (that he seemingly has no control over).
      In Iron Man, two missiles hit the Twin Towers and other buildings, but nothing is actually destroyed, you just see the initial impacts, and it's a simulation of what might happen should someone get ahold of a new jet he's developing, but there's protocols that prevent that. So I guess it's okay to attack the buildings as long as you don't show the actual damage, but I think it's also one of those things where while Ben Grimm sounds happy about it despite it only being a simulation, and Tony Stark is saying that he has concerns about what the military wants him to develop. I don't know, they're both fake scenarios, I don't see why the one needs to be taken away, but maybe it's the character reactions that make all the difference.

    I actually came up with a watch order between the 90's Marvel shows. They're not necessarily in release order, but just an order I thought would make sense for a satisfying viewing experience. So here goes:
    X-Men - Season 1
    Iron Man - Season 1
    Fantastic Four - Season 1
    X-Men - Season 2
    Iron Man - Season 2
    Fantastic Four - Season 2
    Spider-Man - Season 1
    X-Men - Season 3
    Spider-Man - Season 2
    X-Men - Season 4
    Spider-Man - Season 3
    X-Men - Season 5
    The Incredible Hulk - Season 1
    Spider-Man - Season 4
    The Incredible Hulk - Season 2
    Spider-Man - Season 5
    X-Men '97 - Season 1

    And for the more questionable series, avengers United they stand was going to have appearances from the xmen had it gotten a season 2, the fantastic four would have appeared in silver surfer had it gotten a season 2 and Spider-Man unlimited reused the old Spider-Man soundtrack, and had flashbacks to the same origins for the symbiotes.
    So despite the MANY continuity errors the connections were meant to be there. I mean every universe has its continuity issues right? I mean nobody says homecoming isn’t canon because of 8 years later, but unlimited isn’t canon because it doesn’t acknowledge any previous cliffhangers?

    I plan on watching X-Men: TAS, '97 and Spider-Man: TAS at some point for the first time and I wanna do it in a chronological order but the your Googlesheet have the shows split up by seasons so I was just wondering if you (or anyone seeing this comment) know what order of episodes would be since both shows have episodes that occur in the same year and month.
    Example: X-Men S3 E8-10 and Spider-Man S1 E4-7 occurs in September of 94

    • @AbitofEverything4U
      @AbitofEverything4U  7 месяцев назад +1

      Great question...it would probably be very tricky to go down to the day for each episode, although not impossible. But I would honestly recommend watching in order each of the episodes for a series that are back-to-back and not jumping between series, since there are not many ties between the two series, other than the crossovers that I highlighted between them.
      So going month by month back and forth between the series would likely be fine. The only month that is crazy is March of 1995, so in that case I'd watch X-Men TAS Season 3, Spider-Man TAS season 2, then go back to X-Men TAS Season 4. You could jump back to X-Men TAS season 4 after the March episodes of Spider-Man TAS season 2, but personally I prefer keeping a storyline intact rather than jumping back and forth too much.

      Yup, I certainly thought about waiting, but I wanted people to have the info in the timeline prior to the X-Men 97 finale. In fact, I'll be tying them together in my final X-Men 97 breakdown. And ofc, we knew he'd find MJ (gotta have a happy ending) but the question remaining is how. I really hope we get a revival of the series and can finally learn what all went down. Thanks so much for the feedback on the vid. Really appreciate it!

    I mean the episodes could have come out in a different order they were made like the batman animated series is so the news papers could be the correct Years

    • @AbitofEverything4U
      @AbitofEverything4U  5 месяцев назад

      Excellent point! Especially with the first season, there is some debate on what order the episodes should be in, so that could definitely be the reason the newspaper dates jump around a bit. However, in some of the later seasons, the episodes are numbered and so we know what the order is supposed to be and the newspapers are still jumping around. So I’m wondering if it was just a miscommunication at some point. But it’s kind of a bummer, because the newspapers would be really helpful if they were consistent. Regardless, it’s one of my favorite animated series, so in the end I just chock it up as a small mistake and focus instead on how great the overall stories are. Thank you so much for watching the video and sharing your thoughts on it. I truly appreciate it!

    • @AbitofEverything4U

      Yeah, I kinda feel the same way. It's almost not worth the effort to avoid spoilers, since the show has been out since the 90's. However, the main reason I was abit more careful in this case is I think there is likely a decent amount of people that have never seen the Spider-Man 90's show and might still watch the vid to get an overall view of the timeline. But yeah, your point is very valid.
