I think it would be so cool to see some of these legacy actors as high level versions of their characters for secret wars. Like giving Eric Bana a Maestro, Nic Cage the King of Hell Ghost Rider, etc
I have read somewhere that the Hulk Video Game is set 8 years after the movie (and the Gamma Games Comic is set shortly after the game). Have to look into it tho
Yeah, I did see that on the Fandom database, but they don't give a reason for it. The game itself makes it sound like it's 1 year after the military last came after him. Any guesses as to why the Fandom site says 8 years?
Interestingly, on the Xbox page for the game, it reads: "One year after the events that take place in the film; troubled scientist Bruce Banner and his enraged alter ego, the Hulk, are forced into battle against the terrifying forces of the Leader, who’s intent on using the Hulk’s gamma energy to unleash a relentless army of gamma creatures on the world." That follows with what I found as well...that it's 1 year later. Here's that site: www.xboxaddict.com/game-profile/Xbox/558/Hulk.html
as I understand it, The Incredible Hulk was originally written to be a sequel to Ang Lee's Hulk, and between the script being written and the movie beginning production it was retooled to be in the MCU with a new cast and direction but still based on the same script, so I consider Ang Lee's Hulk "semi-canon" to the MCU (i.e. any events in it that don't contradict the MCU can be assumed to have happened similarly in the MCU)
I love that you're including videogames in these timelines. It's always cool to see how they do or don't fit into timelines. And if there's no contradictions, its a good way to beef up timelines that otherwise don't have much going on, haha.
Been following this channel for a few months now trying to find the ultimate timeline to every single marvel movie and tv show and this channel has been so helpful you do such amazing work good luck to you and continue what you do
Thanks so much for the positive feedback! Yeah, I'm trying my best to construct a massive timeline of everything Marvel related. It's fun to put it all in one place and see how everything fits!
I appreciate you putting the games into it too! You're pretty much the only channel I can think of that includes them as canon. And I know some sites put some tie in games as not canon but seemingly the ones here are still canon so much appreciated
@@captainjakemerica4579 Not my favorite Marvel movie by any means, but it will still be fun to see the timeline for it, so I'll definitely get to it before long.
Thanks so much for the positive feedback on the vid. And no worries about not being able to join the membership. I'm just honored you watched the vid and left a nice comment!
Thank you so much for your hard work, I love the timeline videos and how you look into every detail, we are soooooo close to D&W I can wait to see all the cameos! And even if we don't have a Wolverine and Hulk fight I'm sure that in Secret Wars we will have one🎉 (Obviously I want it now) 😂
Thanks so much for the positive feedback on the video. Yeah I love doing these timeline vids. I can’t wait for the movie to arrive in just a few short weeks. Going to be so good!
Hot take: every Hulk game is so good, wish we had a modern iteration of a hulk game. Maybe something like crackdown where the whole city is destructible
This video just convinced me to try to find the Hulk and Ghost Rider games! I’m more inclined to consider the Ghost Rider game the canon sequel and Spirit of Vengeance being a multiverse story
Yeah, both games looked like alot of fun! And I'm with you, I'd almost rather put the second Ghost Rider movie in an alternate universe as it barely tied into the first movie while the game had several ties to the first movie.
Really great video I was so glad to see that you took my suggestion and looked at the games too that was awesome! A few notes I have: Totally a personal headcanon of mine, I know it’s not official but I think it works really well. I think the hulk game connecting to the Incredible Hulk works really well. In that game he tries to cure himself and ends up kinda re getting his powers over again, in a machine that looks very similar to his origin in the Incredible Hulk. Glen Talbot was also planned to somehow have not died in that explosion as he was going to be abomination in the cancelled hulk 2, so it can still work with him in AOS. So the only real weird continuity there is that Bruce went back to Brazil again after the game? I mean it’s possible just kinda weird. But I found how well that works to be super interesting. Another thing is that I played the gba version of the ghost rider game and I think that may be a prequel or midquel to the ghost rider movie, he has his powers and goes after some demons on the loose, not sure how or if it can work at all, because I somehow haven’t seen the movies yet but certainly want to. The psp version of the game has a race mode that supposedly has a daily bugle map from tobeys universe. Which makes me think, would you ever do a video on all of the connections between the pre mcu (late 90s to early 2000s) marvel movies? We now have blade, ghost rider and Spider-Man all in some kind of attempted connected universe. I think that would be awesome. And personally it totally works for me that that’s a second blackout, and I don’t think earth numbers are incredibly accurate as they also placed ultimate avengers 1 and 2 in separate universes despite no continuity errors and the second one literally being called 2. Can’t get more of a direct sequel than that, but somehow it’s a different universe? Also as for the agents of shield connection, I’m not dying on this hill at all, i don’t really care if they don’t work together but doesn’t it perfectly work out that he’s pre spirit of vengeance in AOS? He’s not blue, we know multiple ghost riders can coexist, and he gives Robby his powers? I know it’s kinda implied that it’s transferred but it’s never stated as a fact is it? Plus with Johnny blaze wanting to get rid of his powers in universe around that time maybe he thought that would work but it didn’t. The only weird part would be that he should be across the world by now maybe, but I guess he could’ve gone to the us and back. I don’t really know how long he was on the run though.
Thanks so much for the suggestion of adding in the video games. I agree, that was such a nice touch. And I agree, that would be very cool if Johnny Blaze gave some of his powers to Robby in 2012 but also kept some himself. You make a good point that the first Ghost Rider movie did indeed have two Ghost Riders in it.
Previously, i only expected the cameos to be limited to characters from the original X-Men trilogy, and villains from any FOX movie. But after that line about "waiting for decades" i am very curious...
Right...that sure was a curious line. Plus, it seems we are getting The Russian from the Punisher movie and Stone from the Elektra movie, so it appears the other movies beyond the X-Verse may have smaller cameos here and there. Can't wait to see the movie in just a few short weeks!
It’s been years since I’ve seen the 2003 hulk movie. I only saw it once when I was a kid but that’s because I when I rented it from the library thought it was the mcu hulk movie lol.
I really like how you do these timeline videos, I wanna ask you one thing, have you ever thought of doing timeline videos for the DCAU cartoon series' I think your style would be great for those shows.
While I think a lot of these are unlikely I think Ghostrider could be a possibility and I'd lose my mind. Oh that line ... I never considered it might refer to Hulk of all characters. I will say I never envy you when it comes to figuring out WHEN things are happening given how unreliable props and the like are. I had no idea there were video games for Hulk and Ghostrider though. I did forget the Mephisto actor changes. The little Blade part is cool though. Didn't know about the Punisher bit as I've never seen it, very cool.
Yeah, I've always been torn on how to view the two movies. But after making this video I'm definitely leaning towards them being connected. And if we go with the idea that Mephisto created a second Blackout, then even the game could still work in the connected universe, it seems.
In one of the shots from the 2003 Hulk movie, I noticed that the closed captioning is missing one "n" from Glenn Talbot's name. I wonder who was responsible for that.
For the game.. you could say time is different in the afterworld, what might be a few years on earth probably feels like months to the supernatural beings whoved lived for millenia
I'm not getting my hopes up that Hulk and Ghost Rider will appear. I'd love that. But I'm sorry, i highly doubt we'll see them. I think we could see Eric Bana Hulk and Nic Cage Ghost Rider in Secret Wars though.
Yeah, it sure felt like a soft reboot to me as well. But the quote from David Goyer made it seem like it's the same Ghost Rider. So I don't know what to think, tbh.
@@AbitofEverything4U Sometimes people involved in production have different opinions on the product, like in endgame: the writers and directors have different explanations on how old man Steve came back to the current timeline. In these cases I rely on headcannon lol
Ok let's see what we got 1.Loki showed sacred timeline it's actually a bunch of universe which follow a certain path in controlled manner (that's why we saw different variation of loki) and tva agents can use portals to travel across these universe it's like kang travelled across alternate realities shown at the end of loki season 1 and season 2 loki take control of timeline freed it creating yggdrassil of multiverse . 2. Then got to no way home and MOM According to no way home powerful magic force can Teleport a person from one universe to another , it's the same way wanda teleported peggy to 1602 universe . AND there is america who can create multiversal portals . Mom introduced dreamwalking and incursions, dreamwalking cause incursion and it's not clear that when a person travelling to another universe cause incursion or not ,reed says multiversal travel lead to incursion but it didn't make sense because watcher knowingly teleported black widow to an alternate reality 3. We have what If one of it's episode showed absolute point in time which can't be unchanged by any sort of time travel and powerful entities like watcher and infinity ultron didn't have boundaries of multiverse And can travel from one to another reality. And here Supreme strange is able to create multiversal portals . 4. Season 2 showed kahori can also create multiversal portals that's how she teleported everyone at the forge to there own home universe and don't know how she got the power . And infinity stones work in every universe even I'm nexus of all realities between universes that's how ultron defeated watcher but not in tva . We still don't know where tva is and according to what if and loki the watcher stay inside the branches of realities between universes where infinity stones work and tva seems to be outside of these multiversal tree because mobius sylvie.. can observe the sacred timeline and yggdrasil from tva which is literally the multiverse so it make sense infinity stones do not work outside the multiverse. And then there is void 5. Spiderverse introduced cannon events which need to take place in every universe (it's different from absolute point cause absolute points are points in time which is unchangeable and it is in universal). And glitching , anyone travel to an unknown reality will disintegrate, it's not seen in any of the previous multiversal projects and In MOM when one travel to alternate reality there body changes with the reality but in Spiderverse it's shown that it never happens like that. AND there is spot a huge multiversal villian who can create portals across universes.
Yup, the multiverse can indeed be confusing. However, I made a video that addresses each of your issues, if you are interested: ruclips.net/video/kS-v8GA4Wzc/видео.html. It's a longer video, but it is broken into chapters. If you check it out, let me know what you think!
A similar thing happened with the amazing spider-man tie-in games. You see, The Amazing Spider-man tie-in game is set after The Amazing Spider-man movie, but Rhino, Alister Smythe, and Black Cat are in it, and in the amazing spider-man 2 all three of those characters appear, and it's not compatable with the amazing spider-man game.
Yeah, it's such a bummer when that happens. I mean, the games are still great regardless of whether they're canon with the movies, but it's still really cool when the games and the movies are in sync!
I really hope the “Anarchy Avengers” as fans are calling it are a bunch of past recast, fan cast, and old Marvel Heroes. Terrence Howard and Ed Norton obviously being the biggest ones, Tom Cruise Iron Man being a big fan cast before MoM, and my favorite ones Bill Salinger the 90’s Captain America, and Japanese Spiderman, the emissary of DEATH. Spiderman and Deadpool is a classic pairing, but making Spiderman the more chaotic of the 2 would be hilarious lmao.
I agree...the "Anarchy Avengers" are a great chance to give us some amazing cameos. Your list is fantastic...hope we get to see some of those in the movie!
I remember hearing this dumb complaint about Ghost Rider 2007. He said "While the ghost rider in the movie is johnny blaze the design is based more off Danny Ketch" I find this to be a rediculous complaint. This isn't the first time a version of a character was redesigned to look more like another version of that character. Like in Batman The Animated series, the robin on that show was Dick Grayson, but the costume belive it or not was based more off Tim Drakes Robin costume from the comics. So if Dick Grayson can where Tim Drakes Robin costume, it's okay for Johnny Blaze to be dressed like Danny Ketch.
I agree...that's a strange complaint about the movie. The characters are always redesigned to some extent when they leap off the comic page to the big screen.
Allegedly Liv Tyler will be back in Cap 4, I thought a cool idea would of been to bring Jennifer Connelly back instead, and this way you could say both hulk movies are technically canon, so like Mark Ruffalo went through both events but slightly different, and why Betty is the voice of Spiderman's AI in homecoming.. cause he has Norton's villains (Ross, Abomination and Leader) but he has the Betty from Ang Lee's... And as a bonus you can then say Norton hulk takes place in the universe where Roadie looks like Terrence Howard lol
I noticed something in the part where you talk about the 2003 Hulk movie, and it's the fact that, while I don't think there's any real link to the 2008 movie either, I mean, obviously the 2003 movie isn't there within the MCU, the one-year time jump at the end caught my attention, which I didn't remember. If there is a time jump of one year, the end of the film would be in 2004, if we put ourselves in the hypothetical case that in that year Hulk did have encounters with Ross, a jump of 5 years from that end gives us would put in 2009. That would mean that the 2010 date for the 2008 movie could still fit this movie, rounding up.
I hope marvel retcon Edward Norton's "The Incredible Hulk" (2008) story by placing it in another universe. (It can be in 838(meaningful for future) or 615-617(independent for future). However they want to do it. If they do this, Marvel can convince us that Edward's story was actually the exactly same as Mark Ruffalo's story. And they can tell us that Hulks stories changed slightly in their timelines' futures but we didn't show you yet, so you don't know about it. Overall, marvel explains us that they actually started multiversal connectivity and continuity from the very beginning, and now you're (audiences) also understanding it. BOOOM!
@@AbitofEverything4U , i heard nick cage would come back, but knowing bana, it's highly unlikely, because he didn't want to appear for a sequel, or something like that.
@@kevinskywalker5539 Yep, I think that's going to end up being the case. I can see Cage returning and Bana opting out. Maybe they would still be allowed to use a likeness of Bana's version of the Hulk, even if Bana himself isn't seen (i.e. no appearance by his version of Bruce Banner).
I kind of wish they had introduced Danny Ketch somewhere in there, maybe if the MCU version finally gets put to screen (other than AOS) we’ll see him show up
Good question. I've looked at the reports and there wasn't too much new info being shared. It does sound like we'll see a version of the Hulk but they described it as "not what we are expecting" which sounds interesting. They confirmed there are alot of fun cameos (but didn't say who they were) and also that the snow scene was definitely from Logan (which has been my theory) and also that most of the footage we've seen in the trailers is from the first part of the movie, which is awesome. Let me know your thoughts if you feel that's worth doing a vid on that. Overall, it was very positive info about the movie, so it does get me all the more excited for it!
do you think that the first ghost rider movie could have happened in the MCU and then diverged to lead to AoS? or at least that events similar to it might've happened?
I really loved the first ghost Rider movie… So I would be fine if they said that some of those events happened in the MCU. I really do hope we get the ghost rider in the MCU soon.
Licence plates in Europe simply do not expire and are permanent unless damaged so there is no need to show the year on them. There usually is a way to find out, for example in Italy it's the first two letters while in the UK it's the first two numbers, however it's only the year when the car was produced in not the current year that the movie is set in.
Very interesting...thanks for sharing that! Yeah, in America they put on a year on the plates as we have to renew each year and it's just another tax at the end of the day. Fun, fun, fun!
I'm guessing Spirit of Vengeance is an Evil Dead 2 situation, maybe they didn't have the rights to the first movie full stop, so they could reference events from it, but not directly show them. That with a different direction overall for the character might've been the reason for the soft reboot/retcons they do for that movie. Similar thing with Warzone, and even The Suicide Squad on DC's side, it works as a sequel but not as directly as the more common sequels. Something I would like to add as a personal opinion, the retcon of Johnny actually signing the contract, instead of signing it by mistake does wonders for the character.
The thing with tie-in video games is even if they’re are not contradictions with the movies, they’d never be referenced in a future installment so not to make the average movie goer feel like they need to play a 20 year old video game to fully grasp the plot of future films.
Very good point! It would be really nice if the video games were done in a way that they could be referenced in the future entries, but that doesn’t seem to be the case with marvel. On the other hand, the Star Wars games are considered canon and are indeed referenced in future entries. The Obi-Wan show referenced the video games, as an example. So it can be done, but you are right that there has to be a definite intention behind it, as it doesn’t happen by accident.
@@AbitofEverything4U What If…? An Immersive Story seems to have been created with the intention of tieing in with the greater MCU like the Star Wars games. Really hope that’s an indication of things to come the the future cause some things introduced in tie-in games, like Blade in the Ghost Rider films universe, are so cool!
Yeah, I do hope Marvel starts doing canon video games. I did a review of the What If game, and tbh it feels like it isn't canon, but if you get a chance, check out the vid and let me know what you think: ruclips.net/video/226PJan9h_M/видео.html.
I'll take a steelbook. I have no idea what it is but people seem to really like them 😊. Hulk has to smash wolverine or Deadpool like he did Loki in Avengers 😅😅
Steelbooks are basically like a Bluray that comes in a really nice steel case and has some extra bonus materials in there along with the disc. They're pretty cool. And I agree, Hulk smashing Deadpool would be pretty epic!
I agree 100%! I suspect DP&W will give us alot of awesome cameos and then Secret Wars will be even bigger and will pull in everyone that couldn't fit in the DP&W movie!
Great question about the F4 movies...you can watch that timeline video here: ruclips.net/video/Za9-2Sz71To/видео.html. And thanks for the positive feedback on this vid. I really appreciate it!
I want to see Deadpool And Wolverine make Agents of SHIELD and The Defenders cameos, because Marvel Studios needs save MCU give to fans keep Marvel TV Canon. Can you make a vídeo about how Deadpool 3 could connects with Marvel TV/MCU shows? Remember that Marvel Zazzle indicates that Deadpool And Wolverine Will travel to MCU phase 1-4!
Very interesting idea. I'd love to see Agents of SHIELD and other pre-d+ shows appear. My guess, however, is that the main focus will be on the X-Men movies with a few smaller cameos from some of the other one-off movies like Hulk, Punisher, Elektra, etc. I suspect it will be Secret Wars where we get to see some of those pre-d+ shows making appearances. And we better darn well get a Daisy sighting! We need to see her again for sure. But yeah, that's my guess on those cameos. But anything's possible at this point...like you said, the Marvel Zazzle did tease that we might get some MCU cameos!
You know what really sucks about the ghost rider video game not gelling with spirit of vengence? If the ghost rider video game did blend well with spirit of vengence, this ghost rider duology would've unoffically been a trilogy instead.
The Ghost Rider Video Game can still fit into canon using the 2 Blackouts philosophy like you mentioned. The Blackout in the video game never has his name revealed and he dies in it too I believe so I believe it’s safe to treat them as 2 separate people both named Blackout
Yeah, it feels like that's the best way to solve it. Since he got his powers from Mephisto, it likely means Mephisto can give it to more than one person.
Since this is, in part, preparation for Deadpool and Wolverine and I don’t recall seeing it on your timeline, I want to mention that I believe X-Men the Official Game can fit into the Original Timeline between X2 and Last Stand (it honestly fits better than the movies do) The game has a Silver Samurai different from the one in the Wolverine however they aren’t actually named so it’s a similar situation as Emma Frost and Emma Silverfox in First Class and Origins (2 different characters based on the same one) Lady Deathstrike also appears in the video game which supports the X2 Novelization implying she survives the events of X2 following her “death” to Wolverine
@@AbitofEverything4U the first movie had PlayStation and Gameboy Color versions each with original stories. PlayStation is definitely before the movie but I’m not sure about the GameBoy one The Blade II game takes place after the Blade II film
Since you explored the video games of hulk and ghost rider, will you explore other marvel games? Like even if it isn't part of the sacred timeline? Like the lego universe, midnight suns, marvel vs Capcom, etc. there was even a time when every movie had a video game back in the early 2000's to like late 2010's
Good question...I may do more video game timelines in the future and you made some great suggestions. I do already have a video on the Spider-Man Gaming Universe, if you are interested: ruclips.net/video/seYU8Aas3nw/видео.html. And then this video expands on it when the second game arrived: ruclips.net/video/PxHMnLygO9k/видео.html.
Interesting that Blade shows up in the Ghost Rider game. I've noticed that with a lot of these non-mcu movie tie-in materials such as the video games, novelizations, and even shows, have quite of bit of references to other heroes that don't show up or get mentioned. Like the Spider-Man 2 movie video game had a level where you needed to take pictures of a Latverian diplomat but fail, most likely Doctor Doom being referenced here. Or how about in Spider-Man: The New Animated Series, that followed up on the events of the original 2002 film, had an appearance from Michael Clark Duncan's Kingpin who he played in the Daredevil movie. Most of these tie-ins take place in their own universes similar to the films so while these crossover characters may or may no be canon to the films they are canon to these tie-in universes. Its very likely these tie-ins take place in the same multiverse with their source movies. I feel like these pre-mcu movies where dying to have some connections to one another so with all these references in these tie-in material I like to believe that most of the non-mcu movies in the 2000s are part of the same multiverse that all split off from each other to explain why they may or may not be in the same universe.
Excellent observation! I agree, it really seems the pre-MCU movies wanted to connect to each other so badly and yet never managed to pull it off. I wonder if that influenced Feige, since he worked on alot of those pre-MCU movies. Thus, when he was finally in charge, he made sure to establish those connections right up front. Very cool!
@@AbitofEverything4U Awesome! Now that I think about it. If the Incredible Hulk was meant to be a direct follow up to the 2003 Hulk then should Hulk (2003) be a like part of the MCU, if not directly then a split timeline from the MCU?
My guess is that the 2003 movie is part of a branch that occurred when David Banner chose to experiment on himself before he had Bruce. But just a theory.
@@AbitofEverything4U I guess it could fill in MCU Hulk’s origins because we didn’t really get much of that in the MCU, it would still have its differences but it could still mostly be the same events that MCU Hulk goes through.
My guess is that if Feige wanted it to be part of the MCU it would’ve been mentioned in the new timeline book, so the fact that it wasn’t in there makes me think that it isn’t considered canon
In a scene from Ghost Rider 2 a magazine appears with the date December 2010-January 2011 Also when Jonny loses his powers he says "Merry Christmas" Probably a retcon? mid 2003 Ghost Rider Early 2011 Ghost rider 2
Excellent feedback. So on the Merry Christmas line, I took that to just be a general phrase being said facetiously and not necessarily meaning it was Christmas time, since we saw the harvest being brought in during an earlier scene. But ig it could be that it was literally meant to be Christmas time. As for the magazine cover, I must have missed that. Do you perhaps recall when that was in the movie? It is odd that the director said it was 8 years later even though they had that magazine cover.
@@AbitofEverything4U In the scene in that kind of Metro where Mephisto is at a newsstand, you showed it for a moment in your video saying that because of the weather it seemed like September. The magazine if I'm not mistaken is called "Casas". It is likely that it is a retcon or some bug, something similar happens in The Dark Knight Trilogy, for example, The Dark Knight Rises takes place 8 years after The Dark Knight, but in both films we see props that indicate that they are in the year in which were released, The Dark Knight in 2008 and The Dark Knight Rises in 2012. It's a retcon I think.
Ah! It's on the spine of the magazine. I looked over those magazines for at least 10 minutes when I was making the vid and never saw a date, but for a fraction of a second you can catch a Jan - Feb 2011 date on the spine when Mephisto moves his arm. Wild. Yeah, I bet that was the date the movie was filmed, since the director seemed to want the movie in 2015. But I've made note of that for my records. Thanks so much for pointing that out!
@@AbitofEverything4U I don't know, I think it is the most solid date since in the first film we have a Tuesday, September 26, which fits with 2006 but it could be from last year or 2000 even where it is also that date. and a license plate that expires in June 2008 that gives us a limit on when it can happen. and in the second we have Jonny saying Merry Christmas, cold weather and that "CasaMea" magazine from December 2010 to January 2011. It seems that it was because the movie was being filmed during that time but that dialogue from Jonny makes me doubt if they intended for it to be set in those times as well. Also, if it were January 2011, that would imply that the first movie happened 8 years earlier. In 2003.
@@Mr_Wayne2012 Hmmmm...I don't think the first movie works in 2003, since the license plate is definitely 2008. And I would be surprised if that poster still looked so good in 2003 if it was put up in 2000. 3 years in the elements would have faded it alot more. I really feel the first movie is 2007. And I do think the magazine says Jan - Feb 2011, but let me know if you think the same if you get a chance to view it again. I'd be fine with the second movie being Dec 2010, but that seems to go against the wishes of the director who was really clear on when it takes place. So I think the magazine is just there from when it was filmed and wasn't intentional. It is very hard to spot and is only on screen for a brief second. But just my take on it. I think you have some strong logic as well.
I agree...the X-Men cameos are the most likely. But after I saw what seems to be the Russian (from Thomas Jane's movie) in the trailers, it did make me think anything is possible. I just know I'd love a Hulk vs. Wolverine fight at some point...whether in this movie or in Secret Wars. Would be a sight to see!
I really hope Disney adds more marvel stuff like Howard the duck blade ghost rider spider-verse movies venom 2 and all the other multiversal marvel movies and shows
Here's another piece of proof that the incredible hulk isn't connected to Hulk 2003. The opening scene of Incredible Hulk shows how bruce became the hulk and it's very different from the 2003 movie. Plus if they were connected, you'd think the whole thing about the Hulk being more of a product of his fathers mutation would've been brought up at some point.
Excellent points! Yeah, I think it would be really cool if somehow the 2003 and 2008 Hulk movies were tied together, but I just don’t see any way it can work. There are just way too many differences, such as the ones you bring up.
I'd like to think the other Ghost Rider in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is actually Danny Ketch. No real reason other than that I like his character a lot more than Johnny, and that Johnny Blaze kinda stole Danny's look right around the time the movie was coming out (I think a little before that, technically), and Danny has mostly gone unnoticed as far as Ghost Riders go.
tbh, they don't say which one it is, so I'd be down with it being Danny Ketch. fwiw, I was told that Clark Gregg seemed to confirm it in a tweet from years ago and there’s also a bullet wound on the Good Samaritan’s head that matches with a famous comic in which Johnny is shot in the head. So that's the only reason the wiki chose to say it was Johnny Blaze.
I Would Like to see Eric Bana Hulk and Sam Eliot General Ross although Eric Bana Did say when He was asked about Since the Multiverse Saga is in Full Swing would he Consider Returning and Eric Bana Said That won't Happen and His Hulk movie was a One Time Thing, Could he Be Lying and he was Contacted by Kevin Fiege? What are your Thoughts.
Good question...I suspect that if the price was right. Bana would be willing to return. Seems alot of the actors are given strict instructions not to reveal if they are in the movie, so it's hard to ever know if they are telling the truth. I do hope we get to see him again at some point!
@@AbitofEverything4U Or they could always just use the 2003 Hulk design without showing Bana if they had to, kind of like how they just kept Thomas Haden Church's Sandman in sand form for most of No Way Home.
Good question...I mean, it sure looks like the same Balde, so my guess is they are implying that Blade and Ghost Rider (and Ray Stevenson's Punisher) are all in the same universe. But I don't know that it's ever been confirmed, so just a guess on that.
@@AbitofEverything4U yeah, but the Ghost Rider Game is probably not even canon to the Movies because of the reasons discussed in your vid, so Blade probably isn't either. Maybe the Blade Movies and the Ghost Rider Game are connected but they are in a separate universe than the Ghost Rider and Punisher Movies.
Yeah, it’s pretty bizarre how differently they made the origins and yet still made it sound like the movie was meant to be a sequel. Definitely a strange creative choice!
I’m not entirely sure Nicolas Cage would be down to do a small cameo. He has a big ego. Of course, I don’t know him personally, so I cant make that claim with any certainty. I guess we will just have to wait and see.
Yeah, I suspect the size of the cameo may not matter, but I do bet that the size of the paycheck would! So it probably depends on how willing Marvel is to have him return. ofc, I'd love for him to have a huge cameo in Secret Wars. Cage's Ghost Rider was awesome!

i wanna see eva mendes get out of retirement to come back as Black Rose, that eva's character Roxanne Simpson will become as in the comics. i would love for her to come back as black rose for that character live action debut. can spirit of vengeance be even count as a sequel it literally had nothing to do with the first movie and it recast the original Mephisto - Peter Fonda who was so spot on and so perfect. however actor Ciarán Hinds from spirit of vengeance: he was so god awful in that simon west's tomb raider and ghost rider. smfh wow i didn't know cage's ghost rider flames turned blue at the end of the movie that's very interesting. agreed i would love to see him back in secret wars on top of that nic cage keeps hinting on a possibility of a return this year and last year in interviews. nic cage is the only actor that can pull off the over the top moments by making it cool and hilarious at the same time. i don't think he'll be in deadpool and wolverine bcuz nic cage's ghost rider was a sony movie and that deadpool and wolverine is focusing on the legacy of fox marvel. i also don't think snipes blade would be in it as well bcuz his blade is from new line cinema although in ign interview ryan did said he would love to work with snipes he just doesn't want to be in a blade movie. this was during the 2016 deadpool movie press tour when he did this interview discussing on this topic.
Great feedback on the vid! Yeah, I'd love to see Eva Mendes come out of retirement. She was great in that role. I also liked Peter Fonda so much better as Mephisto. And you are likely right that Ghost Rider and Blade won't be in the movie. I'd love it if it could work out, but maybe we'll see them in Secret Wars instead.
@@AbitofEverything4U15:45 OMG! That's Burnet Stone from Thomas and the magic railway ! He's really nice in that movie tho so why did they cast him as the devil ?! That's only just a little bit stupid.

I have read somewhere that the Hulk Video Game is set 8 years after the movie (and the Gamma Games Comic is set shortly after the game). Have to look into it tho
The Marvel Database has the following note on the Earth-400083 page:
"The video game chronologically takes place 8 years after the film."
I think that’s a good way to look at it… I could imagine that at least some of the events in the movie are indeed canon to the MCU.
I love that you're including videogames in these timelines. It's always cool to see how they do or don't fit into timelines. And if there's no contradictions, its a good way to beef up timelines that otherwise don't have much going on, haha.
Good point...yeah, adding in the video games does make the timelines abit more interesting!

Hot take: every Hulk game is so good, wish we had a modern iteration of a hulk game. Maybe something like crackdown where the whole city is destructible
I agree… The Hulk games have been done really well. And it would be great to have a new Hulk game. We can always dream!
A few notes I have:
Totally a personal headcanon of mine, I know it’s not official but I think it works really well.
Ain’t been here in a while but glad the channel is still going. You’re going to have a busy few weeks very soon with Deadpool 🤣
Great to have you return to the channel. And yeah, Deadpool is gonna keep me VERY busy indeed!
I personally think it'll just be limited to cameos from FoX-Men and the other Fox Marvel movies, but I guess we'll wait and see.
@@HerbCoswellBornAgain Yeah, I think that's a very safe guess, tbh.

It’s been years since I’ve seen the 2003 hulk movie. I only saw it once when I was a kid but that’s because I when I rented it from the library thought it was the mcu hulk movie lol.
Too funny… Yeah, I hadn’t seen the 2003 Hulk in a long time either… So it was fun to review the movie for the breakdown!
I owned both that Hulk game and the Spider-Man 2 movie game for the GameCube in the 2000s.
Niiiiice! I bet both of those games were alot of fun!
I really like how you do these timeline videos, I wanna ask you one thing, have you ever thought of doing timeline videos for the DCAU cartoon series' I think your style would be great for those shows.
Oh wow...now that's a cool idea...I suspect it would be a ton of work to do it, but it would be very neat to see it all laid out. Great suggestion!
Yeah, if Cage appeared as Ghost Rider I would lose it. If we don't see him in DP&W, then hopefully we'll see him in Secret Wars for sure!
good Job.so i have always treated spirit of vengeance as reboot wgich kept nicholas cage and the johnny blaze ghost rider.you made me rethink that.
Oh wow...good catch. Yeah, sometimes the close captioning is really off. Someone was definitely asleep at the wheel!
For the game.. you could say time is different in the afterworld, what might be a few years on earth probably feels like months to the supernatural beings whoved lived for millenia
That’s a cool idea… I like that solution!
This is absolutely amazing keep up the great work can’t wait to see more 🔥! time
Thanks...so glad to hear you enjoyed it. I'm having alot of fun putting the videos together as I love revisiting these older films!
I'm not getting my hopes up that Hulk and Ghost Rider will appear. I'd love that. But I'm sorry, i highly doubt we'll see them. I think we could see Eric Bana Hulk and Nic Cage Ghost Rider in Secret Wars though.
I agree… I think it’s much more likely that we see them in secret wars than in DP&W. I think you’ve got the exact right attitude to take!
Ghost Rider 2 is more of a soft reboot, I think. Everything is so different, they made new flashbacks and even the devil has a different name.
Yeah, it sure felt like a soft reboot to me as well. But the quote from David Goyer made it seem like it's the same Ghost Rider. So I don't know what to think, tbh.
I put it in the same boat as War Zone. Either a soft reboot, or a sequel with massive oversights
@@AbitofEverything4U Sometimes people involved in production have different opinions on the product, like in endgame: the writers and directors have different explanations on how old man Steve came back to the current timeline. In these cases I rely on headcannon lol

Ok let's see what we got
1.Loki showed sacred timeline it's actually a bunch of universe which follow a certain path in controlled manner (that's why we saw different variation of loki) and tva agents can use portals to travel across these universe it's like kang travelled across alternate realities shown at the end of loki season 1 and season 2 loki take control of timeline freed it creating yggdrassil of multiverse .
2. Then got to no way home and MOM
According to no way home powerful magic force can Teleport a person from one universe to another , it's the same way wanda teleported peggy to 1602 universe . AND there is america who can create multiversal portals . Mom introduced dreamwalking and incursions, dreamwalking cause incursion and it's not clear that when a person travelling to another universe cause incursion or not ,reed says multiversal travel lead to incursion but it didn't make sense because watcher knowingly teleported black widow to an alternate reality
And then there is void
That would’ve been awesome if they brought Jennifer Connelly back for Captain America 4. Your ideas would’ve worked out perfectly!
Very good point...yeah, I kinda wonder if we can at least take some of the events in the movie as being canon to the MCU. Alot of it fits very nicely!
The general attacking Hulk in the video game is General Ryker.
Ah, okay! Thanks for mentioning that. I felt like it had to be someone else, so that makes total sense. Really appreciate the info!
Great video, as usual!
Thanks so much!!
BOOOM!
Very cool theory...I love it!
Could the Ghost Rider of San Venganza be an ancestor of General Ross?! Yes, 1000% yes. But also probably not. But maybe... 🤔

Will you be discussing the Shanghai footage that was shown today by chance ?

I know Lex Lang is a voice actor who's been on several superhero animated shows, and given his name, I'd say his parents were big superman fans!
lol! Yeah, with a name like Lex Lang, his parents were definitely channeling Superman vibes when he was born!
"That would be 'incredible'" I see what you did there.
Who, me?
do you think that the first ghost rider movie could have happened in the MCU and then diverged to lead to AoS? or at least that events similar to it might've happened?
GR is my favorite. Hope Nic Cage shows up in the movie. I think the first GR movie at least is easiest to slot into MCU616.
Yeah, I really love that first Ghost Rider movie. It was so much fun from start to finish!
Excellent commentary! I agree… Having Johnny intentionally sign it really does change the entire relationship with Mephisto!
Great Vid ❤️
Thanks so much! Really appreciate the positive feedback!
I need a Darcy cameo she’s my favorite character to randomly pop up in marvel shows and movies😂
ikr? Darcy is amazing...Everything is more enjoyable with her in it!

Great point! Yeah, that would have made for a really nice trilogy!
Man Jennifer Connelly in the 2000s was the real deal🔥🤭and she'll always look great 😊❤
I agree...she has ageless beauty for sure!
Since this is, in part, preparation for Deadpool and Wolverine and I don’t recall seeing it on your timeline, I want to mention that I believe X-Men the Official Game can fit into the Original Timeline between X2 and Last Stand (it honestly fits better than the movies do)
The game has a Silver Samurai different from the one in the Wolverine however they aren’t actually named so it’s a similar situation as Emma Frost and Emma Silverfox in First Class and Origins (2 different characters based on the same one)
Lady Deathstrike also appears in the video game which supports the X2 Novelization implying she survives the events of X2 following her “death” to Wolverine
Oh, very cool! Yeah, I need to go back and add some of the other video games in the list. I think Blade had a video game as well.
@@AbitofEverything4U the first movie had PlayStation and Gameboy Color versions each with original stories. PlayStation is definitely before the movie but I’m not sure about the GameBoy one
The Blade II game takes place after the Blade II film
Awesome… Yeah, I need to add those at some point!
I would love to see all these timelines appear in future seasons of What If?
I agree...that would be very cool!
Hello back, MCU Fan Talker!

Yoo I have the comic on the left
Niiiiiiice! That thing is worth a LOT of money!
@@AbitofEverything4U Wait, is it actually?
@@AbitofEverything4UNvm, just checked. Mine’s a reprint.
Ah! Still probably worth more than an average comic though, cause even a reprint of that story is in demand.
In a scene from Ghost Rider 2 a magazine appears with the date December 2010-January 2011
Also when Jonny loses his powers he says "Merry Christmas"
Probably a retcon?
mid 2003 Ghost Rider
Early 2011 Ghost rider 2
I think these ones are less likely considering that they're not from fox movies like the X-Men cameos are
I agree...the X-Men cameos are the most likely. But after I saw what seems to be the Russian (from Thomas Jane's movie) in the trailers, it did make me think anything is possible. I just know I'd love a Hulk vs. Wolverine fight at some point...whether in this movie or in Secret Wars. Would be a sight to see!
They NEED to bring back movie tie in video games
I agree...they seemed to make a ton of them back in the 2000's but Marvel doesn't really do it anymore.
Only a movie starring Nicholas Cage can be either odd as Ghost Rider or abnormally out of its mind as Ghost Rider 2
lol...well said. I 100% agree!
I really hope Disney adds more marvel stuff like Howard the duck blade ghost rider spider-verse movies venom 2 and all the other multiversal marvel movies and shows
Yeah, I agree, it's a real pain to try to find these movies online, so it would be great if Disney added them!
@@AbitofEverything4U ye hopefully they do that soon or in the future :D
💯
Days of future past back on Disney Plus now too!
ikr? Perfect timing!
@@AbitofEverything4U Hopefully Elektra not far behind! Also, are you gonna do a video on Days of Future past hitting Disney plus?
@@iamgroot3391 I agree...we need Elektra as well! Wasn't going to do a video on DoFP, however, unless you think I should.
@@AbitofEverything4U I mean, as long as it isn’t interrupting your planned out schedule, I would totally watch it if you did!
Awesome...thanks for the suggestion!
If Punisher and Ghost Rider was meant to be the same universe, does that mean they were setting up Midnight Sons back in the 2000s?
I mean, I guess we’ll never know for sure… But it definitely seems like it!
Hope Eric Bana hulk vs Hugh wolverine
I would love that so much!
In fairness, had they made a ghostrider 3, they 100% would of gone back to the orange flame and not explained it lol
Lol… You are probably correct on that!
I would like to have the Moon Knight steelbook ✨️🌙⚪️⚫️
That thing looks sick! Best of luck!
I really hope Nic Cage’s Ghost Rider is there🙏🏼🫡
I agree… I would love to see him in either Deadpool & wolverine or secret wars. He was perfect in that role!

@@nicksorenson940 Excellent point!
22:13 is that meant to be the same Blade from the Movies?
Good point...perhaps the games are just connected. I like that idea!
Those Ghost Rider origins very much contradict each other
Yeah, it’s pretty bizarre how differently they made the origins and yet still made it sound like the movie was meant to be a sequel. Definitely a strange creative choice!

Man-Thing! Man-Thing! Man-Thing! Do Man-Thing next! 😂
lol...yeah, I am so curious about that movie!
What does the cameo for?
Hopefully they will cameo in Deadpool and Wolverine. Fingers crossed!
Do you think they’ll ever bring a new version of Ghost Rider back into the MCU once the multiverse saga is over?
Fingers crossed, yes, I do think they will. There are discussions about a Midnight Sons team-up and I bet Ghost Rider would be part of that.

wow i didn't know cage's ghost rider flames turned blue at the end of the movie that's very interesting. agreed i would love to see him back in secret wars on top of that nic cage keeps hinting on a possibility of a return this year and last year in interviews. nic cage is the only actor that can pull off the over the top moments by making it cool and hilarious at the same time. i don't think he'll be in deadpool and wolverine bcuz nic cage's ghost rider was a sony movie and that deadpool and wolverine is focusing on the legacy of fox marvel. i also don't think snipes blade would be in it as well bcuz his blade is from new line cinema although in ign interview ryan did said he would love to work with snipes he just doesn't want to be in a blade movie. this was during the 2016 deadpool movie press tour when he did this interview discussing on this topic.
