Many people get this dish to go, but I must admit, staying and eating with everybody had to be my favorite part. You aren't going to find a Bánh Đức that is more flavor packed than this.

A lot of people review vietnamese food but you are the only one that love vietnamese food like a native vietnamese.
Bản thân mình cũng là một người đang sinh sống và làm việc ở một đất nước không phải nơi mình sinh ra( cũng được gọi là người nước ngoài) nên mình rất hiểu cảm giác của anh Max. Và không chỉ mình mà mình nghĩ rất nhiều bạn cũng thấy được sự cố gắng sử dụng và nói tiếng Việt của anh. Mặc dù anh không thể diễn tả hết những cái anh đang suy nghĩ ra bằng tiếng Việt nhưng anh vẫn cố gắng giao tiếp bằng tất cả những gì anh biết với tất cả mọi người anh gặp. Rất đáng ghi nhận sự cố gắng của anh. Cảm ơn anh đã luôn dành tình cảm cho đồ ăn Việt Nam nói chung và đất nước Việt Nam nói riêng. Chúc anh thật nhiều sức khoẻ để có thể thưởng thức hết tất cả các món ăn của người Việt Nam và ra thật nhiều video hay để mọi người cùng xem. Cảm ơn anh Max!

Don't feel discouraged about your Vietnamese. Any local with sense would appreciate the fact that you can even speak it so well. For a foreigner, visiting another country and learning a language is already a huge sign of respect for the culture.
Don't ever apologize, we appreciate you are trying to speak in Vietnamese and the only way to get better is to be couraged to speak even with an accent but that is each one our identity. You are getting better and better and know so much in a short time. I love your accent it is cute and all the elderly love it when you are speaking Vietnamese. But a lot of words in VN just a little up or down can change the whole meaning so don't feel bad. When I first came to America as a little kid I was being made fun of all the time when I try to speak that was just so hurtful but not long after I became fluent in English. I am glad my first homeland people don't do that to foreigners if they don't understand they just won't be saying anything. You are part of us now We love you, Max.

@@AussieAngeS the most challenge is vietnamese pronounciation with 6 marks. He speaks exactly with 3 difficult marks. Vietnamese grammar is so easy with past-now-future verb by adding more a word. Example, speak (nói) - spoke - spoken ~ đã nói - nói - sẽ nói. Word "đã" in past tense, "sẽ" in future tense. The structure of vietnamese grammar is the same of english. And a word with another mark is so defferent. Sometime, it turns to the worst, like Đi (go) and Đĩ (whorse)

Amaranth is used a lot in Greece and Turkey; it’s one of the most prolific weeds in vegetable gardens so it’s a good thing it’s edible. Common in the US too, where it’s an introduced weed.

It may sound strange but as an American I love homemade fish sauce. I'm thankful to have a Vietnamese neighbor who loves to give me some of the fish sauce when she makes it. I use it religiously on many many dishes 🤤. Love your videos on Vietnamese food. Last but not least, thank you for the English subtitle when you spoke Vietnamese 😁👍.
For real? What kind of fish do you know? I am in the East Coast and sometimes I see small one like anchovy at the Asian market but not sure. Interesting, to say the least.
@@kha9867 I'm from the West coast. I'm talking about the homemade fish sauce, not the bottled raw ones. Maybe it's not called fish sauce? Anyway, I'm talking about the one that tastes lightly salty, sweet, sour, and spicy. What kind of fish do I know? Not a lot, LOL. I don't make fish sauce; my neighbor gives me some when she makes it.
I know what you mean "home made fish sauce". It is southern Vietnam way of cooking culture, where people use raw fish sauce and mix with little of everything like sugar, garlic, lemon, chili and balance them how to make it taste perfect.
In the north of vietnam people normally just use raw fish sauce.
What? Wow. That good to know. My neighbor like my Vietnamese food. I try to not give her anything funky like fermented fish. Lol🤣

I think your Vietnamese is great! In my opinion, it’s one of the hardest language to learn. Cô Hà was telling you that the banh đúc in the South is not the same as the North because it has evolved.

you might want to revolutionize your content or jazz things up to maintain the traction. but as a Vietnamese currently living overseas i appreciate this kind of casual, no-frills content of you digging into tasty homespun foods that i no longer have access to but still terribly crave everyday. would be more than happy to vicariously devour these dishes through you - one of the best Vietnamese food review channels out there!
Hmmm, you know I used to use a big ole camera and edit a lot and I have to say I prefer this much more. I didn't like putting camera in peoples, faces even when they did say that I could film. This smaller camera and much more relaxed style is so much more fun because things are so much more natural. I wouldn't have gotten these reactions and interactions if it wasn't for a small camera and simple editing and for me the content of being with someone naturally and documenting is much better than an edited video. And I am sure there are enough people that enjoy it just like you and me! And thanks for the support and watching!

According to my Vietnamese-American fiancee, the lady at 6:48 is saying that "Banh Duc originated in the North and the South created a version of their own." So basically there are two versions of Banh Duc.
