*Aherm* Actually spaceships should be flown with keyboards, when you're pushing crazy Gs like in elite dangerous, you wont be able to lift your arms to control a joystick. So what will happen is keypads on your spaceship arm chairs to help plot course and input.
but if you're doing crazy Gs wouldn't you not be able to lift even a finger to press a button or have your entire arm slam into the keyboard? Because Science!
G forces persists even if there is no gravity as it isn't a measure of gravity but rather acceleration. Maybe you should research it a bit more before touching on the subject North.
North Of Nashira, Gs are a measure of force. like how at the top of a rollercoaster you feel weightless, you are experiencing 0Gs. At the bottom when you are being crushed into your own seat you are experiencing many more Gs. Standing, you are experiencing 1G Gs are a measure of how much force you are experiencing, usually from acceleration. It's a common concern in space where everything is either minuscule or massive beyond comprehension.
Recent ED player, I remember my first time having to do a manual exit out of a station. My Docking Computer had somehow turned off, so I was sitting there waiting for the queue to end when suddenly I'm fined two hundred, so I have to manually blast my ship full throttle out of there before to die to some random outpost's overly agressive Flight Control operators.
I relate to Joey so much, I bought Elite: Dangerous, used a keyboard, almost died trying to dock somewhere, crashed trying to leave, never touched the game since.
i mean you don't loose anything in a sidey, since its your free fallback. and keyboard can be hard, but joey for example flies in VR with keyboard. While most people suggest HOTA, i can affirm that controller plus keyboard is also a viable solution for fligth. If you ever come back, the PG "Door Monster" is always open for ya :D
It's worth sticking with just for that satisfying moment when you realised you've done 4 round trips without looking up the controls, and you feel like "I got this!" Not to mention when you FINALLY got enough cash to buy one of the Big Three. ... and outfit it.

I think innately we just want to watch our ships burn
"oh god I just killed someone" "cool I can land"
I use a controller but all of this is so true I saw my first cmdr in the game and he was flying a sidewinder, he crashed is almost immediately and his cargo hold was full of illegal salvage.
That shifty eye movement, "Docking request granted", "Cool" got me. Hilarious
One view and eight likes. How it's supposed to be!
I was just thinking about how yall haven't been posting in a while and then you drop an elite dangerous video, explains it ALL
I’m actually about to get this game and the same joystick you have!!!
Noah Yager elite dangerous
In Europe "docking" has a totally different meaning.
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
That's everywhere friend.
You cannot dock if your bay has been strip customized to meet US standard measurements.
Good thing there are no viable space programs in Europe.
@@northofnashira2575 could it perhaps be because we're nowhere near the equator?
Ah yes the joys of outpost docking when an outpost has 1 medium sized pad and I gotta wait while my Asp just loiters there.
Hilarious as usual
LOL I was the sidewinder about a week ago. Was asked to leave and did just that. Now that player has added me as a friend instead of chasing me down across systems to the end of my fuel!
Woo a new vid!
This video made me buy Elite Dangerous
Thanks Door Monster!
I lost $3 mil because my weapons deployed in the station. Turns out my touchpad was on and they don’t give warnings..
Protipm there is a setting checkbox that keeps your weapons from deploying and firing just because you hit the fire key.
Like a saftey switch where pressing the deploy key or 2 keys at the same time is required to deploy hardpoints.
Malicious Muppet
Really? I never knew that.
Honestly I'm happy the nerd rage chap got his way. Time bonuses man
You think this is a comedy sketch, this about every interaction at Hutton orbital. Had to go there to get my free Anaconda when I started.
Also, "I'm the yellow Adder off to your left" and joey looks to the right.
Ethan's voice acting is so perfect I didn't even think about it before reading the comments.
Astra?
Ummmm... you'd be in space.... Gs don't exist in zero gravity.
Standing, you are experiencing 1G
Gs are a measure of how much force you are experiencing, usually from acceleration. It's a common concern in space where everything is either minuscule or massive beyond comprehension.
omfg yes, thank you so much for making a ED video
Dammm, someone spent a lot of money of micro transactions! Oh, and why didn’t just go into solo?
worse, he said he had no money, he just wanted to look.
Please make more of these. Elite Dangerous is my all time favorite game!!!
EVE Online when tho?
"There is one named Celeste, you'll pick that one."
Look, I didn't come here to get attacked...
Could have just told him to ENTER THE STATION. Then the Pad is free again
kokussnuss85 that's false actually. Entering the hangar doesn't free the landing pad.
Butter of Sorrow god damn, coulnd you have told me sooner. All that waiting....
With outposts if someone enters the hangar, that pad with that hangar is still locked off.
@@fluffypinkpandas go away I was here first
He could’ve gone into offline mode...
Another instant classic white lightning video.
Errr... Door Monster, also congratulations on the engagement Allison and Kyle.
I'm impressed the newbie figured out how to take a call.
This sums up Elite open play so well it hurts.
Ethan's voice acting was just perfect.
"All Things Considered But We're Gonna Do It Our Way"
Joey's got some bangin' tunes all up in here.
I honestly expected the commander in the Sidewinder to switch to Solo mode.
Props for meeting your bonus, deductions for flying an Adder. XD
"Except that one... that one is objectively worse" xD
if i am having my facts together the spider one is from the pirate/griefer superpower, that grants you immunity to crimes against other players to a certain degree. so yeah not a sign to be proud of. could be wrong tho
OH HELL YES A DOOR MONSTER ELITE DANGEROUS VIDEO
I love the repeated clicks on docking request, I do exactly the same thing. Can't believe I've never seen your channel (I thought I'd subbed to every Elite channel going haha) this is great and so funny, I look forward to checking out the rest of your content
woah, sweet visuals! great job, guys!
