What would you recommend for live vocals for a deeper male voice? Would the EV be too much bass? Debating if a wanted "lose" bass sound as you say in the video. Thanks for the upload !
I meant a more sub/rumble bass on the EV rather than a tight mid bass. Tyler, I wouldn't try to focus too much on the bass that any PA can deliver. Your choice of microphone, mixer eq settings etc can have a large influence on the reproduction of live vocals. Demo as many PA's as possible with your choice of microphone, that is the best way to start
I have both of these systems and I agree 100%. The Bose rating of 1000 watts is a very generous rating of a sub that performs like a 500 watt, the EV 500 watts is accurate.
On paper the the dB has more power and I'd say a better LF performance, especially with the twin drivers. It also has great overall sound quality. Unless you really want a much more portable PA, I would stick with the dB.
I've lent my evolve 50 out and still not been able to do a test. The BIGGEST difference is that the evolve 50 lacks or has poor mids, that is my great issue with the evolve. The prx has great mids and a better overall sound which makes me prefer the prx Hopefully somebody else reading this can help you with the loudness output between the two
@@opaz. thanks!!! I was buying the es1203 but it doesn't arrive. The system is made in Italy, ready to ship but the dsp module need some chips that doesn't arrive yet. All I can say is the 1203 is very good but heavy and now dated You and your client isn't going to hear or know 1-2dB measured difference between the two, believe me 😆 Luca, I keep telling people, YOU are the best judge of what YOU like the sound of, the look of, the functions of and the price of etc etc etc! Bose F1 system will sound better than Bose L1 Pro32 with Bose Sub2. It will easily outperform Bose L1 Pro16 & Bose L1 Pro8. If you want just sufficient power than L1 Pro systems. If you want that overkill (a bit)then Bose F1 system. Again, it totally depends on application you want. To get the best of your Bose F1 system, you need to pole mount 812 and couple subs together. That's what I do. Best of luck. Stay home. Stay safe.❤️
Hey. You are welcome. See, changing from F1 system to pro16 will be a downgrade in terms of power. But upgrade in terms of portability. F1 offers 120° coverage & pro16 180° (so, you can use just 1 pro16 or else you will end up with phase cancellation or get 2x pro16 set up in the middle of the venue in back to back configuration. 360° surround sound. Please feel free to continue chat, I don't mind. (Back to back will help to avoid phase cancellation in use of 2x pro16)
Well it seems that the bose bass unit works medium frequencies too up to 250hz I can hear the ride or crash on drum kit. Maybe it’s different parte of the song Still bose wins because bose research in psychoacoustics is amazing and lower weight on sub
Yep, well described. Definitely I can tell, the EV has a bit lower bass.
The evolve 50 had a nicer bass in my headphones.
Bose seems cleaner

If you have the db es1203 i would stick with that much better than these 2 in the video imo
