    Honestly, my first thought goes to our kids camp worship. Same space as the dining hall, so something like this would be perfect for 200 kids instead of the pieced together system, I set up this year. Great vid!

    We have the L1’s with the separate Bose Subs and they’re great! Feedback honestly is not an issue that you might expect for 180 degree output. Those Subs KICK!
    We usually run the system in our fellowship hall at about a mid to high 80dbs, and the volume knobs on the speakers at about 20% with levels peaking about -10 to -6 dbfs on the console meter. They get loud!!! We’ve even used them outside pushing sound across our whole parking lot and they were so loud and clear!
    I would say do not get the L1 by itself without the sub. It sounds so thin and weak in my personal opinion. Almost as if you’re only get 300hz to 500hz and above.
    All in all, very good system!

      Note: we run this with a Behringer xr18 or a Midas m32 rack both controlled with an Ipad or computer.
      Honestly if you are gonna buy these speakers, you can get a complete sound system with 18 channels using the xr18 for between $500 to $800 more.

    Had a pair of the pro32 columns with the sub 2’s. Soon sold them on. Pfft. Good for small gigs and single columns use but these 16’s are better for most applications.

    The bluetooth audio concerns of other apps using that output can be mitigated on Android devices by designating that output for one app only. On my phone, i have my work stereo set as spotify ONLY, so if i open another app, it doesn't blast whatever video plays over the whole shop

      @@RylandRussell yeah I get it. You need two of these rigs to have stereo sound coming out. For a speaking gig I guess it’s ok, but even an acoustic act is using stereo effects on everything. Most people would never even notice, otherwise these wouldn’t exist. Great sounding transistor radio anyone? Same thing basically.

    Yeah.... Nope.
    Tried similar systems from Bose over decade ago and not suitable for most audio applications.
    Best and only usage is for singer/songwriters.
    And let us not forget that it's way overpriced...

    • @NoiseMakerX
      @NoiseMakerX Месяц назад

      And there has been no development in the last decade...
      (Mind you, I really dislike the old Bose sticks, but I see situations where a setup like this might be handy.)

    Pro audio tech with 47 years experience here. Can this tiny speaker replace your current system? Yes. If your current system is a Kraco car stereo bought at K-mart in 1983. And it's only $2,000! For ONE! Jeez, people, Bose is - and always has been - the Apple of the audio industry. Actually, its more fair to say that Apple is the Bose of the computer industry, since Bose has been making garbage audio gear since 1968. That column is full of TV speakers. Guess what it sounds like? TV speakers. And the sub is loud - if you've never heard a real sub. It only operates over one octave, 60-120Hz, and the TV speakers do everything else. And when it breaks, you CANNOT BUY PARTS. Bose will not sell parts or provide service info. Once it's three years old, you can't even get Bose to fix it. When it breaks, you buy a new one. Please, please, PLEASE go look at real sound reinforcement gear, and don't spend your money on this!

      And yet other brands like JBL,EV,RCF etc..has followed what Bose did😂

    • @ScottGrammer
      @ScottGrammer Месяц назад

      @@camilo8cheryl They make competing products to sell to suckers that would have bought Bose otherwise. But all three companies make real speakers for people who know better.
      Only a fool would have let Bose take all that free money without getting some for themselves.

    • @ScottGrammer
      @ScottGrammer Месяц назад

      @@assimokiran222 Well, I haven't seen them all! They made one speaker system about 25 years ago that I thought was pretty darned good, called the Bose 401. It was a slim tower speaker, three-sided, as I recall, and it sounded better (within its volume limits) than any of their other speakers. They only made it for a short while, if I recall. I think that's because it blew away their more expensive speakers.

      Ok sir thanks for taking the 💩 on Bose, always appreciated. Any recommendations for a mid grade system for a venue designed for 120-150 people?
