I actually got this hat in like the first week of spring when I played Stardew Valley for the first time. All I thought about it was "whoa, a funky hat" so I just put it on, BUT because I played with my friends, the one that had 300 hours of playtime told me that it was super rare and she couldn't get it when she tried and what the hell is my luck lmao

Same but I played on switch when there was like a week you could play for free
Was playing co-op with my wife. The first time she's ever played, im an absolute stardew sweat, so it's like day 4 spring 1, im fishing to get the cash together to buy iron and gold ore to rush my pick upgrades and shes clearing the farm, she got the living hat and was like look at this dorky lil hat i love it, and im just over here losing my mind

I just went back and checked my first ever save, and I had a living hat just sitting in a dresser. I was flabbergasted
So basically, Golden Clock is your enemy.
i got mine on the FIRST DAY of a spring save on my freaking phone on a busride to a track meet. i still have the world on day two so i can prove to anyone that i got the living hat day one. (i like never play stardew on my phone)
I remember randomly getting it without knowing how rare it was, and I didnt find out the 1/100,000 odds until a lot later

I remember the first time my older sibling played sv. I taught them most things and they found the living hat on DAY 2!!!! I got them back by getting an owl statue (and find it first) 2 days later. Ah sibling rivalry. How it never changed.
The quickest way is to name your cahracter the internal id of the living hat and meet marnie

To date, 6/21/24, I have 3,250 hours in Stardew Valley and have NEVER found the living hat. I didn't even know it existed until I watched one of Seanie's playthroughs.

I got it randomly from year 1 (in summer or late spring) while cutting weeds lol
i only just found out about how rare it was, on my current main save i got it in like the first day or two 💀
When I first started playing, I got it while cleaning the first part. After learning how rare it is, I built a completely separate "museum" room to put it in. It is still there.
If you're lucky enough then we're just asking how quickly you can destroy a patch of weeds
can we reset the same day infinitely ? because I may heard Haboo said something like "after 20-30 reset the chance is the same, so sleep and retry the next day"
I got this hat on my 3rd or 4th day of my very first playthrough. Didn't know it was rare. I've been wearing it ever since. I'm still on year one. Have only been playing for a couple weeks
Hmmm. Never tried bombs to clear land before. I got one of those once, before I got into LOOKING for them, haven't seen one since. I'm going to give that a try!
I got it while playing the roguelike mod. (Which I beat the entirety of! Take that seanie!)
a few years ago I started a new game and got the living hat in summer year 1. I had never even heard of it so I looked it up and when I saw how rare it was I put it on my character and never took it off. ironically I made my character's hair the same shade of green as the hat so it fit the coloring perfectly. I haven't played that save in a long time but I'll never delete it. only game I've ever played as the girl too.
On one of my saves I found two in a single fall season. But I play modded so I'm suspicious one of my hundreds of mods may have changed the spawn rates. I'm really not sure. I had a bunch of wild stuff happen on that save file which is why I think something was changed or bugged. I had 3 fairy visits, 1 witch, 2 alien capsules, 3 meteors, 3 owl statues, at least 4 independent mushroom tree spawns, 4 trash can hats, 2 pairs of elf shoes plus an unusually large number of trains and half a dozen coal trees. There are probably other things I'm forgetting. All of this was in the span of 3 years. truly wild.
Yeah, something was changed with that. It’s only possible in base game to get one alien capsule per save, not two

I got it really early on in my first play through and it has been sitting in my chest ever since. If I’m not mistaken, I got it early in spring 1!
it dropped on the second day of my current playthrough. funniest thing is, thats like my 10th playthrough of which 1 is 100% and 2 are about 85-90%
After a few years of me playing stardew, I decided to introduce my brother to it and we started a multiplayer save together. On the very first day, he went out to clear weeds and got that hat, but didn't like it so he gave it to me because he didn't realize it was rare
I'm not considered lucky, but i got that hat on first fisit in second floor of the mine while wacking weed lol

Try the mine level 20 over and over and just keep harvesting the weeds 😊
The golden clock didn't affect ginger Island until 1.5, so you could still use this method and then update lol

@@onnivinpelzel6368 no worries! I do play on pc as well but I haven’t for as long as my switch world which is in year 8 so I usually just play that. I would just demolish the gold clock but I’ve already set up a whole ancient fruit farm on ginger island :,)

@@log6070you never get to see people sweat in single player games cause for one, you’re not in the game with them, but he means cause sweats are usually for pvp, and the fact that it isn’t pvp or any multiplayer based thing, it’s interesting to him
