Man, they didn't need to stop the tree planting in the town areas. I guess I'll be thankful for my first game save. Everywhere looks like mini forests with all the trees I planted around. I'm sure Concerned Ape had his reasons for stopping that, but what a bummer.
Probably caused too many problems. I can imagine all the NPCs, plus the houses, plus the events, AND player-placed trees didn’t agree with the game much :p
I had trees in town that despawned when I loaded into the save. I did get the wood/sap from them but still made me sad as I liked the way my town looked.
They had to stop player's from planting trees/crops in town as too many players would use everywhere as a farm extension. With ginger island they don't need that and it'll be easier to create new events without player complaing about their missing items

I already knew most of those changes, but the rice to vinegar I didn't know about! Also, I never noticed the change at Evelin and George's house. 😅
Thank you for setting off the Fireworks! I had not seen them before, even though you can get them from Qi's Walnut Room or the Casino. I did not know you could take the seasonal decorations! I did know about the clothes and furniture that are always turning up in my inventory.
And I think ALL games that have Chests should take note on how to Upgrade Them Properly!! It is so wonderful to Thunk the Big Chest or Big Stone Chest on top of a regular Chest and it just works so excellently! You even get the small regular Chest back to use elsewhere!
You can put the Mayor’s Shorts in the fish tanks as another decoration too 😂

I think I noticed that they were added, but the only thing I knew you could take is Pam's sign when she takes a day off from driving the bus.
Well, I knew that placing a larger chest over a small chest will replace the chest itself, but I didn't know that it also replaces the items in it.... and here I was taking all the items out and put them in other chests while making all these changes to my farm like an idiot😑
The vinegar is the only one I didn't notice. I read most of the patch notes but somehow missed that.

The trees that drop their leaves are actually changed into a different type of tree called green rain tree. I play with UI info suite mod so the tree name is changed when I hover over them from the original oak/maple/pine trees. I don’t know if they turn back because I always just chop them down when I see them but I see others in the comment mentioned that they stop producing sap if there is an existing tapper on it.

You can buy mannequins at Sandy's shop and dress them up. When you click on them, your outfit is switched to the one it is wearing. Nice for people who want to switch their outfit quickly each day.

Does it? I stopped processing iridium wool because it was worth more unprocessed. I didn't notice that I got 2. I might start processing them again.

3:07 Try not to do that with a sword in your hand (especially not with the best one). My game has bugged out and replaced the sword with the lantern and I had to start the day all over again.
I think trees that have lost their leaves in fall don't produce sap for that season as well. I'm not seeing that on the wiki though, so not 100% sure if that's true. Anyone else notice that, or am I nuts?
I’ve noticed it too! Definitely a bummer when it happens to trees I plant for the sole purpose of tapping them🥲

Very minimal and might not be from 1.6 but you can walk on the tide pools on the rightmost side of the beach now excluding festivals. Has a splash sound. Ginger Island tidepools are still unable to be walked on.

I play on console,so I don't have the update yet, but I'm happy to hear about the cap on lost items on dying in the mines. The other day, I died in the volcano,and I lost 14 items,plus a bunch of gold. That's the highest number I've ever lost,I almost cried. I was so upset,that I completely forgot about restarting the day. I could have kicked myself,when I remembered later.

re: number 14 - I got a notification that my chickens were a little cold the night prior at one point because I leave the door open. Anyone know if there's a penalty to that or if you just don't get the added happiness?
pickled mushrooms - with mushroom logs and enough preserve jars, you can really grow profits from foraging.

One thing you missed is that grass now stays in winter and can be scythed for hay. No more winter grass mod

I've been annoyed that I have to buy my vinegar from Pierre for so long, so thanks for letting me know I'm now free from his tyrannical monopoly! Also, being able to plonk a big chest on top of a regular is huge, so thanks for that too. I read all the patch notes, but they were crazy long and detailed so I probably missed half of this.

I never read those notes, prefer to stambel onto changes on my own..
There are a lot of players who don't read patch notes. They like to discover new content for themselves, or watch brief videos with more information and shown examples of how it's done in game. This video is targeted for those people in particular.
