Hello Ma’am,thank you su much for updating everything regarding Mrcp, I still have confusion that after clearing MRCP do we need to go under residency of MRCP (MD) or we are equivalent to MD directly after passing the MRCP¿

    • @AceurMRCP

      Hi Janvi
I would't say MRCP is equivalent to MD as MD is a 3 year residency programme where as MRCP is a degree. I am making a video on MRCP vs MD soon. Please keep watching this space.

The best way to find out is to email RCP and explain your situation. I am sure you will find a slot soon as many of my subscribers have managed to get a PACES slot in India this year.

      Hi Nikita
Dermatology in the UK is a superspeciality degree to be pursued after completing Medicine training.
You have two options. Either complete all parts of MRCP, work in a non-training post in Dermatology and Medicine and acquire the competencies and then apply for Dermatology after or do PLAB, complete IMT training, and then build your CV catered to the specifications for Dermatology. In the UK, Derma is pretty competitive so I would strongly recommend the second route.

Total MRCP journey would roughly take you two to 3 years deoending on your preparation , commitment to exams and exam slot availabilty.
For IMT training (similar to MD),you don't need full MRCP but MRCP is must for ST training ( which is equivalent to DM). You would need to have substantial clinical, research and leadership experience to get into training; all these are achievable with the right mentorship and planning.

@@AceurMRCPHello Doctor, I’m really glad I found and able to hear you sharing. It’s so generous. In this comment section, you told that IMT is eq to MD. What do you mean by not having COMPLETE MRCP.

Doctors are experienced working in India with MBBS and MRCP itself. They are talented in treatment. Are they not doctors??
