And secondly what about the salary is it same like after the plab or MRCP ? Is the spouse allowed to live with you on this visa ? And last thing after finishing mti what degree we will finally hold is it specialty degree?
Although, MTI is not seen as a pathway to settle in the UK, there are many instances where candidates have completed MRCP or otherwise and settled in the system. Salary depends on your work experience at the time of applying. Dependents are allowed in this visa. You can apply for a diploma certificate after MTI completion.

Many Bangladeshi MTI doctors work in the UK.You are a suitable candidate for MTI , all the best.
Hi I m regularly following your videos n prep fr MRCP.
I m willing for cardio ST in future. Can u guide if any sort of experience in cardio from india will give extra edge in short listing or it's like u have to do your publications and presentations in UK only.
Hi Tejinder
Publications done in any internationally reputed journals/Pubmed are definitely accepted. Presentations may be in local , preferably in national or international conferences. Do you have any cardiology experience in India? That would definitely give you an edge bearing in mind that Cardiology is a very very competitive field in the UK.
I have passed plab 1 one and half year ago . I have postgraduation degree (MD) in my country with 6 years postgraduate experience. If my time to appear plab 2 expires ,then will i be able to qualify for MTI?
Yes , you may. But why don't you complete PLAB?
Thanx for the video, can we take the frca exam when we are working in a MTI job??
Hi Merrier
You can definitely do that. You will also get a study budget which you can use to do any course for your preparation and also dedicated study leave to prepare.
Thanks yoy maam for this great orientation..we really appreciate that, god bless you..may I keep in touch directly with you if you don't mind?
Hi Ahmed
Many thanks for watching this video. If you need any help, you can contact me by email.
Hi.. I did my postgraduation in Anaesthesiology.... Should we have 1 year of experience before applying to MTI!? Or 3 years of post graduation is enough?!! Can you please help with that..
Hi Kalyani
If you have have done 3 years postgarduation that is enough for MTI.
Hello doctor .I am currently working in india .done my fellowship in emergency medicine .I dont have a gmc reg .and I see lot of the job vacancies on nhs job portal sighting mandatory gmc reg .lately I have come across job recruiters online. How reliable are these to get a job via the mti route ?
Hi Sanjana
Recruitment agencies do not have access to MTI jobs usually. Also. please do not pay any fees to recruitment agencies who may assure GMC registration and MTI jobs.
Hi. Does BAPIO support Indian doctors only or they can help other nationalities
Hi
As far as I know, BAPIO is predominantly for Indian doctors.
I've been trying since last May to find a job . I got 10 interviews but all rejected
How did you perform in your interviews?
Please watch my video on How to crack NHS interviews. This may help you to get a better idea.
@@AceurMRCP thank you Dr. I'll try to watch it later
Does postgraduate qualification means a degree?? Or training years in home country are also accepted for MTI job??
Hi Fatima
Even non training jobs are accepted as clinical experience. Doesnot have to be a degree specifically.
I tried to apply for few jobs on NHS website. But as I mentioned NO GMC registration , they didn't accept the application
Why don't you register with RCP for MTI jobs?
@@AceurMRCP I will do it. Thanks
Hi. If I am keen on using MTI, and in the last 1 yr iv had to change my job location causing a small 2 week break, wil it affect getting thru MTI?
Hi Sharmili
A 2 week gap should not be a problem at all.
I am a radiologist and want to apply for job via MTI route. I contacted by the the email given and they all said that I will not be shortlisted unless I have the GMC registration first. So what is your advice please.
Hi
The pathways for Radiology is slightly different from Medicine.I would suggest please contact the MTI portal for Radiology or ask any Radiologist working in the UK for up-to-date information.
@@AceurMRCP unfortunately the topic about mti and radiology is not available. Anyhow thank you very much.

HI Damon
You would need clincal experience to be able to apply. At the moment there is a huge shortage of doctors in the UK so it might be worth trying for a junior level job like FY1.
@@AceurMRCP thankyou for replying ma'am..what are the criteria's to do FY1 training..do i need to crack plab and ielts?
hi doctor,
can a doctor with MRCP2 written but without any post graduate degree(MD/MS) enroll in MTI program?
Definitely. You have to have clinical experience, don't need a degree.
Hello ma'am
Now a days, Is this tough to get MTI programme??
As I have heard that there is lot of competition for MTI 🤔

You cannot apply for MTI if you are already in UK.You can only apply for MTI from your home country and would need 3 years postgraduate clinical experience.
@@AceurMRCP so, what do you think, after completion of postgraduate masters course from uk, ilets will be exempted for the plab exam or not?
Hello ma'am
Why did you choose MRCP over MD in india?
Hi Karan
I did MRCP as an additional degree as I wanted to work in the UK.Also, it makes your clinical skills very sharp .Having said that MD medicine is a wonderful degree which has taught me everything I know about medicine.
Mam for mbbs graduates apart from plab are there other ways to enter NHS?
PLAB is the only way for fresh graduates

MRCP is not for fresh graduates .You will need at least 2 years to complete all parts.

The eligibility criteria for MTI is that the candidate has to be in clinical practice in 12 months preceding the job offer and has to be in practice for 3 years out of 5.

Hi mam i want to do residency in the uk and get the gmcs registration without doing plab and i have 4 years of sho experience in my own country which i registered as an sho how do i go about ? Thanks
Hi Amirah
If you don't want to do PLAB, you can go through the MTI route .
Hy apara… is it necessary to complete your mti training and come back to home country or do we hav the option of completing our MRCP and switch job from mti to Post MRCP
@@AceurMRCP thank you so much apara…. It going back to home country is not a compulsion after MTI, if we finished MRCP in this time period we can change our visa ?

Hello Mam dis is Dr Srinivas. I m a pediatrician from India. I want to switch over to adult medicine. Can I clear Mrcp n start working as registrar in Uk ? Kindly guide me

Hi, I have done md general medicine from India followed by three yr registrar ship in medicine in medical college followed by three year training in nephrology. Will I be able to do mti in nephrology and get my name in specialist register?
Hi Anirban
MTI is not a pathway to get a place in the specialist registrar but it is a starting point. You have to either complete CCT or CESR pathway. MTI would help you get started in achieving the competencies needed for CCT or CESR.
Hi doc Roy, my spouse applied for mti in different pediatric streams on nhs as well as Trac job com. She is dnb pediatric with Sr ship india. But applying many job for 3 month, we did not get a single interview or mail from nhs. Kindly suggest and help us please if u can. We both cleared oet. I m preparing for plab.

You mentioned in your ebook in the disadvantage section that MTI is not a pathway to settle in uk and in the advantages paragraph (d) you mention you can decide whether you want to settle in uk or not.
Would you please make it more clear ?
Does that mean I'm obliged to leave uk after I'm done with MTI ?
Hey Lazirus
The RCP doesnot intend the MTI route to be a pathway for settlement in the UK. This is clearly mentioned in their guidelines. However, given the present situation many trusts are retaining their MTI candidates in a more permananent role if their performance is satisfactory.

Hi
For MTI in medicine, you would have to have postgraduate experience in medicine.
Maam is there anything specific that attracts a pg dr's resume fr an mti programme... ??
Excellent question. Most importantly it is your clinical experience, publications, teaching experience but most importantly how to present your skillset to the interview panel smartly. I will be doing a video on CV soon, please keep watching this space.
can MBBS doctor without post graduation degree but with experience apply for MTI?
Hi Chinmay
This is a good question. The RCP website mentions Post graduate qualification as a criteria but I know of many candidates who have got MTI jobs based in clinical experience. I would suggest apply for MTI regardless and try to complete MRCP simultaneously.
