  • Learn about Spectra's new portable breast pump with ‪@TLC.Lactation‬
    Please note there is a discrepancy in the video: The 3 wavy lines are for massage mode and the milk drop button is the expression mode.
    We are excited to have this new Spectra pump available at JANZ Medical Supply! This pump is yet another great Spectra pump, but it can go anywhere you do.
    This pump is now available online and may be covered by your insurance:

    Just wanted to let you know that you had mode settings backwards. Wavy line mode is stimulation and has lower suction options and droplet mode is expression mode with a wider range of suction modes.

      Hello! Thank you SO MUCH for pointing this out to us. We want to make sure we provide accurate education to our mommas. Generally, massage mode and expression mode are the same thing so that's where the mixup happened. We will make a note in the description.

      Some don't always read the description. I had a patient who saw your video and she was very confused. I would re-do the video for accurate information.@@janzmedicalsupply

    Is this hospital grade also? Found conflicting answers on this!

    • @janzmedicalsupply
      @janzmedicalsupply  Год назад

      Great question! The Spectra Synergy Gold Portable has hospital-grade suction up to 270 mmHg. However, it is a personal-use pump designed for only a single user. A pump must be designed for multiple users to be considered a hospital-grade pump so it has the strength of a hospital-grade but ultimately is not. Think of it as a "hospital-grade personal pump."

    Does it work while plugged in? Does Spectra list the suggested life of this pump? I've heard their other ones don't really have a true life like others and have lasted years for many people. Just wondering if this one is similar.

      Hi Grace,
      Thank you so much for reaching out on this!
      Yes, you can pump while it's charge or with using the battery.
      As far as the life of the pump it depends on how frequently it is used. If the motor inside gets worn it may produce less suction. But this specific model has two motors so I assume it would actually have a longer lifespan. But Spectra does offer a 2 year warranty on their pumps when most pump companies only offer a one year warranty.

      @@TLC.Lactation Thanks for the info! That's a great point about the warranty!

    Would you recommend this over the S1?

    • @janzmedicalsupply
      @janzmedicalsupply  9 месяцев назад

      Our IBCLC absolutely would! The key reasons are that it is so much slimmer and easier for portable pumping. Plus the dual motors are a big game changer which really provides stronger suction that you can rely on throughout your entire pumping journey
      Spectra Synergy Gold Portable pump is a great upgrade to the previous Spectra S1 model.

    Would you recommend this pump for low milk supply or regular synergy gold?

    • @janzmedicalsupply
      @janzmedicalsupply  Год назад

      Yes, we would! In fact, this is a favorite for helping moms with their low milk supply issues. This pump is portable and has an internal battery. The original Spectra Gold must be connected to an outlet at all times. So for this reason alone, moms are often not able to pump regularly due to other responsibilities and schedule fluctuations. Pumping can be a significant tool for increasing supply, and we want to make sure it is convenient for you. Outside of that, both pumps' functions are nearly identical. The biggest benefit between the two is the internal battery.

      @@janzmedicalsupply thank you so much for your reply. I have the Elvie but it wasn't producing anywhere near what my spectra s2 was doing. Once my supply dropped I barely got half an ounce. I'm hoping for my better results with this synergy gold. Especially since it's portable. My supply has improved but could be better if I could pump on days that I have to be out and about and just moving around the house to get some things done there.

      @@brandimccarty3091 We are so sorry to hear about your issues. You are definitely not alone in those struggles! As much as we love our wearable pumps, our lactation consultants do recommend using them occasionally, and if you ever find yourself struggling with your supply, return to using your powerhouse pump. Fortunately, with the Spectra Synergy Gold Portable pump, it really meets the needs of a convenient pump but also a powerful one.
      Please reach out if we can support you in any way in the future!
