I think a huge advantage to the pro that wasnt mentioned is for the cellular data option. It was mentioned as something used for spotty Wi-Fi, but it is also a security function. Burglars have been targeting the wifi of homes to interrupt things like ring doorbells. Having the pro system defends you from a scenario like that easily.
Thanks for the video, I have had ring alarm for years. A couple of things to mention: the bleep bleep when a contact sensor opens, you can turn this off if desired. And you can buy a wireless external siren.
With the base station PRO the notifications are immediate instead of a 10 second delay with the older version. Plus you can record and store 24/7 on the cameras you select locally. (Your computer)
I mounted my Alarm base station (1st Gen) on a ceiling that is 10ft high, why would you leave it at ground leavel where someone can easily get to it before it alarms and destory it ????
@@ErinLawrenceTV Yes very easily, it is on a ceiling below the attic I have wired power outlets up there that I power (All to Code) my Ring Alarm Controller, my Network Switches and Ubiquity Wireless AP’s - I work in the Software Industry & Hardware experience, so I'm not your usual end-user LoL
Would be nice if it was a installation program or system would work with your current system like Xfinity or ADT any suggestions because I have Xfinity but rising costs are getting to me I also have 4 Ring cameras outside my home.
I already have a whole house WiFI (with hardwired AC points on the ceiling in each room) Will the PRO conflict with it or can I use it just for the RING system so I get the backup?
Base station is crap sounds like the speaker is trash, and for you to use the app to arm or disarm, it will cost you i switch to the old base now I don't need the plan protection

For sure, thanks!

Oooh! The external siren! I didn’t know!

Good to know. Thanks for sharing!
No one mentions how to use the quick exit feature on the contact sensors. Can u show that in one review ?
Thanks for the suggestion. I’ll take a look.

Can you get power 10 feet up on the ceiling?

They charge to use it now

Just use the pro as a separate wifi network
I might get this as I already have lots of ring cameras and the doorbell. I love your videos.
Thank you so much 😊
I want the PRO (for the LTE) but until I can turn off the SSID it provides it is a no go.
The "Director's Cut".
Thanks for the heads up about the subscription "sting". No need for WiFi here (Cat7 Ethernet throughout the house).
Thanks for the review Erin.
seems like a good early alert but it could never replace the glock
LOL. 😵
Thank you for this!! Long overdue hehe
You're welcome!!
Great review, you're a pro : )
Thanks! 😀
Sounds pretty complicated.

back then, a subscription was never required to get digital notifications and remote arming thru the app. I'm just glad I wasn't affected
Yes!
