Bryce saying Jack Quaid doesn't have kissable lips was the most out of pocket comment I've ever heard from him. That's something I'd expect from Zuff!
He was so real for that though
It wasn’t outta pocket, you’re just used to fragile masculinity lol
@@TheKyuubi14huh
@@TheKyuubi14 Bro what? So chronically online that you don't even make sense anymore lmao
@@TheKyuubi14 assuming they said “outta pocket” as a substitute for like “wild” lol. I don’t think *fragile masculinity* had anything to do with it lol.
Wes's name actually does have significance! Wes Craven passed away and so Wes's character was a tribute to him. Along with the party scene in his remembrance.
to Wes! 🥺
In the party scene it's not the voice over from the extras but voices from Drew Barrymore, Stu Macher, Mathew Lillard, Jamie Kennedy.
Edit: didn't mean Stu Macher, I mean Skeet Ulrich, and others
@@HomarAlexander U realize Stu and Matthew is one person
@@Skdndnsmsm Sometimes in life, we realize that Stu Macher and Mathew Lillard, are one in the same. I felt so confident in writing that first comment that I didn't even take a second look. Until I did. 😂😂😂 And boy. I was embarrassed 😳😳😳
red right hand has been used in almost every scream movie!! its a staple
except for 4 :(
@@dkoch2yup all of them. It's not originated from peaky blinders
For real, I was amazed they missed that motif and went straight to PB.
I sometimes don’t like when reactors go to peaky blinders cuz then I think “noooooo” cuz anytime I hear this. It’s automatically scream 1 to me
It was literally the credits song for Scream 3, but maybe they didn't watch the credits?! I mention that because it was background music in Scream 1, 2, 3, 5 and 6. Sheeesh, peaky blinders "reference" is so silly. They'll probably say peaky blinders again in Scream 6 🤷♂
I don't know if you guys caught this but Sydney's husband, mark, is the cop from the 3rd scream. Mcdreamy from Grey's anatomy
Omg no way, you just blew my mind, I’ve watched these movies all the time & I’ve never once caught that 😂😂😂😂 crazzzyyy
And in greys anatomy, she’s his sister 😂
"Cut 'im up, Sweetie." Rob's supportive dad energy. 55:52
I love how you guys didn't notice Scream has used "red right hand" since the first one xD
Same 😅
Same haha I was like ‘no, red right hand like all the screams 😂’
Minus the 4th unfortunately. But yes, it's the definitive Scream song
Yeah, even if it makes sense since they take breaks between watching these.
The slow build Bryce had at 20:10 from serious to nearly dying laughing was hilarious 😂😂😂
I was crying laughing! 😂
@@jodyalaniz same lmao 🤣
“but i’ve never seen something 1” took me outtt 😭😭😭
32:39 she is, in fact, watching something from the 90s. She’s watching an episode of Dawsons Creek. The show was created by Kevin Williamson, the writer ld the first 2 Scream movies. The particular episode playing her guest stares Scott Foley, who played Roman (Sid’s half brother/ghost face) in Scream 3. It’s a fun little Easter egg.
He also wrote scream 4
And it’s called the scream
Red Right Hand was in Scream long before it was in Peaky Blinders. In fact, it's in the first three Scream films.
The guy from Smile is Kyle Gallner! A scream king tbh, he’s also the emo guy in Jennifer’s Body lol.
also, red right hand is in the original scream!
Kyle Gallner is excellent in Veronica Mars as well, my dream show for Reel-Time to react to someday!
He's also in A Haunting in Connecticut and A Nightmare on Elm Street. Honestly, any time I see him in a horror movie casting I know it's gonna be good.
Dude is a chameleon, I always thought all his characters looked slightly familiar but never could tell it was him. Especially Quinton from nightmare and compared to his character here.
love him in the passenger (2023) too like i'm kinda obsessed w his role in that
Also the controversial Nightmare on Elm Street remake
As soon as Sidney said she had no intention on coming back I knew either Dewey or Gayle would have to die. Def cried in the theaters as an OG Scream fan.
the guy who confronts chad in the bar is also the emo kid from jennifer’s body!
Yeah! Kyle Galner is a scream king tbh, he was in the Nightmare remake & Haunting in Connecticut.
Wish he had a bigger role since he was related to Stu but it was nice to see him.
i literally can not wait for your reactions to SCREAM VI! we are inching closer...
Scream 6 is iconic
@@belpop RIGHT?! its my fave one lol
@@harwwy same here, I love it so much. Especially the intro scene.
@@belpopReally? I liked it, but it’s definitely my least favorite one.
"Red Right Hand" is literally in the first 3 Scream movies lol.
in the original script, tara and amber were girlfriends, but jenna was underage at 17 at the time while mikey was I think 19 so they had to cut it. it would’ve added another level of betrayal though
You're right about the gf plot line but Jenna was 19 when she started filming for this
yeah, jenna was 17 when they begun filming in september 2020 n turned 18 abt 5 days into filming
@@Zach12384 jenna was 17 when they started filming n 18 when they finished, she turned 18 around abt 5 days into filming
They should’ve kept that
Thank God they didn’t go that route
makes me so sad rewatching the new movies knowing that melissa was fired for supporting palestine (and rightly so), causing jenna, jasmine and mason all to leave the series with her. the studio really fucked up because they are a huge part of what makes the new movies so incredible.
Ikr
guys, red right hand has been in scream since the first movie, i guess you guys didn't noticed before because you hadn't started watching peaky yet? haha
32:36 Tara was watching Dawson's Creek, a TV show which aired from 1998 to 2003, created by Kevin Williamson, the writer of Scream 1, 2 and 4. He wasn't involved in 3 because he was busy with this series.
Fun fact, the review video that Richie watches for Stab 8...the guy in the silver metalic ghostface mask is Matthew Lillard (Stu)
Lillard just does the voice.
@@Joker_JAK…just as Drew Barrymore voiced the principal… both great cameos.
I don't know if you guys caught that the Kyle Gallner's character (Vince Schneider) was related to Stu Macher. He was Stu's nephew.
When you guys said ghostface is always clumsy I laughed because ghostface is absolutely SAVAGE in scream 6 he doesn’t play, can’t wait to see that reaction hopefully soon 😄
I don’t know if this has already been commented, but Sam wasn’t seeing Billy as a ghost but more of a hallucination, it’s shown that she is taking anti psychotic medication
Bryce saying Jack Quaid looks not fun to kiss is so random 😅
LOL that was so funny.
He’s right! 😊
But accurate…those are some paper thin lips 😂
Fun fact: Chad is played by Mason Gooding, the son of Cuba Gooding Jr.
And Richie is played by Jack Quaid, rhe Son of Dennis Quaid aaaand Meg Ryan. She was mentioned by Dewey in the first Scream Movie as an actress who could play Sidney in a possible future movie about her.
This is one of the best scream movies out of the franchise. 5 and 6 is so damn awesome! But a lot of people feel away cuz the death in this one hit so hard. 😢
Idk why but “Don’t call her that. She’s the beacon of light.” cracked me up! 😂
All the trailers would only show Jenna in the opening scene, so the entire theater was shocked that she made it! What a great twist.
Vince was played by Kyle Gallner, aka my Scream King. He was in Jennifer's Body and A Haunting in Connecticut, too.
Also nightmare on elm street 2010
@@naturellebella he's in a few more, too, I'm just blanking. I love him.
Passenger was great too!
@@Wraiven22 I haven't seen that one yet! I'll check it out.
Kyle Gallner. Smile, Jennifer’s body, haunting in Connecticut and a nightmare on elm street. To name a few 😅
And Amber (Mikey Madison) is also in “Once upon a time in Hollywood.”
You guys realize that Red Right Hand has been in every Scream movie (except 4) right? It’s been the unofficial theme of the movie since the first movie. It has been associated with this franchise well before Peaky Blinders. Although it was in the movie Dumb and Dumber even before Scream.
clock it!
42:57 my mom said the same thing lol, she was like “so he won’t go upstairs to have sex, but he’ll go outside by himself?” Lmfaoo I was dead😂😂
Yes, Wes is named after Wes Craven. There’s also some audio Easter eggs at the party at the end. Jamie Kennedy (Randy) and I think Matthew Lillard (Stu), are voices that say stuff at the party.
a lot of reactors complain about the motive for amber and richie, but honestly after being in multiple scream groups and seeing the toxicity of a lot of them, i 100% believe that in a world like this that the fans would go bonkers 😂😂
How in the world did I not know this video existed for 5 days?
Seriously, with the amount of Scream content that I watch, how was this video not suggested to me in 5 days? I had to search for the video to find it… that is insane.
You should watch Melissa Barrera's new horror movie Abigail after you finish Scream 6!
The show that Tara is watching in the hospital room is Dawson’s Creek. A show that was created by Kevin Williamson, the same guy that wrote Scream 1,2, and 4 and created the franchise. That was a fun nod to him. I think Scott Foley is even in that scene, Scott foley also played the killed (Sidney’s brother) in Scream 3
*I love how the subtitles say "Charlie" when the killer is talking 🤦♂ who tf is Charlie?😂😂😂😂*
I'll always love the original trilogy most but I was very surprised by how much I enjoyed this one. RIP Dewey 💔
Scream 4, 5, and 6 are my favorites to watch, makes me sad the are so devisive on the community
SAME
jack Quaid is the best nepo baby
Mason Gooding (Chad) isnt that bad either but yeah. Jack is that dude!
Look. Im sorry. But you will never unsee this. Read at your own risk man.
Bryce looks like a blend of Tim Curry and Skeet Ulrich (From the Scream 1996 box art). Sorry for this.😂
Love this one….few head scratch moments for me, but overall loved it
If you listen right before end credits there’s a “for Wes” tribute and you can hear birds. David Arquette shared that Wes was an avid bird watcher so was added for him
if u guys liked the death scenes in this one then you're gonna love scream 6, it has some genuinely badass scenes! can't wait for the reaction to the sixth movie : -)
I love of Scream 5 and 6. Sam, Tara, Chad, Mindy, Amber and Ritchie are such good new characters 💙
Chad, one of the twins is Cuba Gooding Jrs son
Kyle Gallner was Cassidy aka Beaver, Dick's little brother from Veronica Mars!!❤❤
The 4th one is still one of my faves but this was a solid one and they had a lot of call backs. The 6th one is even more intense and brutal than this one. You can tell the 5th one was supposed to emulate Scream 1 and 6 kind of emulates Scream 2.
Rob is looking super fine in this video! Had to be said.
Also, 5 is a welcome return but, 6 is on par with the first two. It’s intense and has some killer sequences. Can't wait for you guys to enjoy 6. This video made my night. Thanks.
Was having a rough day until I saw this reaction pop up on my list :)
Omg so excited y’all like this. This is my 3rd favorite after 1 and 4!!
Also “he looks not fun to kiss”… Bryce gets it
I love when Scream gets a shot of invigoration! It's amazing. One of the best franchises!
"That happened in something else we watched. I think it was Ready of Not" ... not realizing this is made by the same filmmakers
Scream 4 still the best of the franchise
This is my third favorite of the franchise. The OG is still the best one.
I really love this scream the mix of the og cast and the new additions especially Jenna Ortega and Melissa Barrera are the best things to happen to the franchise can’t wait for your reaction to the next one love the reaction
You clocked Richie being the killer pretty early on, you shouldn't have tried to talk yourself out of it.
I stand by this one and the next one being the best out of the series.
I love Melissa Barrera she is a good actress in the Scream 5 & 6, Abigail and In the Heights.
zuff saying amber looks like a streamer i just know he's talking about ashley ippolito
Was scrolling to find this comment lmao
You guys definitely need to watch It Follows
That’s exactly what i said
It’s sad that neither Jenna Ortega or Melissa b with be the 7th film
Free Palestine
Yeah honestly, without the two of them, they need to axe the franchise. They managed to find two good leads after the departure of the original cast. I can't think of any other way it could possibly go now without simply becoming an entirely different franchise.
Spyglass fumbled so bad, it’s sad and I won’t be supporting the next film
I'll still watch if the twins are in it, but if NONE of the Core Four come back I'm not doing it. Haven't heard anything about Neve and Courtney. If they pay Neve what she deserves and she comes back, that might convince me.
@@screamr2d2 neve is the only one signed on to return no core four
jenna ortega & jack quaid carried this movie on their backs.
and mikey, hated scream 5 but she was a big highlight.
I loved Mikey
The words you will hear when watching the movie Scream "shoot them in the head or they always come back"
The thing I dislike about the Scream franchise is that people don't need rehabilitation for muscle and nerve damage. They can get stabbed multiple times and not only survive but be up walking and fighting within a few hours.
32:39 thats Dawson's creek which came out early 00s. Idk whats the connection but Dawson made an appearance in Scary movie which is the parody lol.
OMG u guys finally watched so excited to watch the reaction.
Scream 5 is my third favorite behind 6 & 4
Just found you guys, chill and funny.
Its like watching a movie with the dudes.
I believe Wes Craven would be proud.
“I’ll survive. I always do.” - Sidney Prescott YOU BETTER
Oh man! So excited for this
Which of the two killers was active and/or committed which murders can be figured out if paying close attention to Richie and Amber's whereabouts in the film:
Tara's attack - Both were active but Richie was the one who attacked her since Amber was filming herself at her house.
Vince - Amber, as she was at the bar when he was killed while Richie was at the hospital with Sam and Tara.
Sam's hospital attack - Richie, as he was at the hospital and could have easily slipped away if Tara fell asleep.
Judy and Wes - Both were active but who killed who is up for debate.
The cop and Dewey - Amber, as Richie was present as an "innocent bystander". Though this has been a source of criticism for viewers since Amber could not have overpowered two grown men and shake off having been shot several times even with a bullet proof vest.
Chad's attack - Amber, as Richie was still driving Sam and Tara to her house and by the time they arrived the attack was over. Amber sees Richie's car arriving and knows that's her cue to start clearing out the party, which is why she doesn't finish off Chad.
Mindy's attack - Richie, as Amber was upstairs helping Tara look for her inhaler while Richie went to the basement.
Dewey was supposed to die in the first movie but due to script changes he was spared. The directors said they both loved and hated killing him off but they felt it was essential to show that NO ONE is safe. It was also the only way to explain Sidney's return to Woodsboro. I hate it but I also love it from a film-making standpoint. It was brilliant because once you realise Dewey and Gale were divorced you think they are both safe because they need to get back together by the end of the movie. I do kind of agree with some of the criticism about the way he died though. It felt out of character and 'unrealistic' for him to go back like that (and not to take the fucking mask off when he had the chance!). But at the same time, it was kind of poetic for him to die saving Sam's little sister since he couldn't save his own in the first movie. Fans have even often criticised Dewey's apparent lack of grief for his sister since the character was hardly mentioned in the sequels. However, this one finally pays tribute to Tatum by showing a box of her ashes in Dewey's trailer.
Vince is played by Kyle Gallner who was indeed the cop in Smile. He was also in Jennifer's Body, The Haunting of Connecticut and the 2010 remake of A Nightmare on Elm Street, and has been been in shows like Veronica Mars, Smallville, CSI: NY and Outsiders. I first saw him in an episode of Cold Case where he played one of two teenagers who shot and killed people in a mall (it was heavily based on the Columbine school shooting).
Jack Quaid (Richie) is the son of actors Dennis Quaid & Meg Ryan (the latter mentioned in the original). Chad is played by Mason Gooding, son of Cuba Gooding Jr.
Dylan Minnette's reaction to seeing GF was genuine as the filmmakers sneaked the killer into a take where he wasn't expected to be. Minette also hadn't seen the GF costume yet so he was legitimately scared.
Sid's line "I'm Sidney fucking Prescott, of course I have a gun" was Neve Campbell's idea.
Some easter eggs/references:
Sam Carpenter's name is a nod to Halloween and Psycho. Her surname is a reference to John Carpenter who directed Halloween, and if she were to take her father's name she would be Sam Loomis, which happens to be the name of one of the main characters in Halloween AND Psycho (both of which Scream is inspired by). Additionally, Psycho stars Janet Lee, Jamie Lee Curtis’ mother. There is also of course the reference to the shower scene in Psycho.
Meanwhile, Wes is INDEED named after Wes Craven who directed the first four Scream movies before he passed away in August 2015 from cancer. The movie is literally his Memorial Party. At the very end when the title card appears that reads "For Wes", there is a sound bite of birds chirping. This is due to the fact that in his free time Craven was an avid bird watcher and enthusiast. Furthermore, this particular bird is a whippoorwill - a psychopomp which guides souls to the Centre of afterlife.
There are numerous voice cameos from returning cast and crew, resulting in a touching tribute to Wes Craven. Drew Barrymore (Casey), Matthew Lillard (Stu), Jamie Kennedy (Randy) and Henry Winkler (Principal Himbry) from the original all have voice cameos during the party, along with Hayden Panettiere (Kirby in Scream 4), Adam Brody (Detective Hoss in Scream 4), writer/producer Kevin Williamson, producer Julie Plec, composer Marco Beltrami, editor Patrick Lussier and Craven’s widow, Iya. Furthermore, Drew Barrymore is the principal making announcements on the intercom right after Tara is attacked. Matthew Lillard delivers the very meta line "Cool house Freeman!" during Amber's party (which is being held at his character's house) and he also does the voice of flamethrower GF in Stab 8. Lastly, Jamie Kennedy says “Someone’s goofy ass dad is kicking us out” after Richie tells everyone to leave the party.
The writers confirmed Sidney's husband "Mark" is Mark Kincaid, the detective in Scream 3. Neve Campbell didn't even know until after making the movie and thought it was funny because she portrayed Patrick Dempsey's sister on Grey's Anatomy in between Scream 3 and 5.
In the original when Sidney says she is haunted by her mother's murder Billy says "It’s like Jodie Foster in The Silence of the Lambs when she keeps having flashbacks of her dead father". Sam is Jodie Foster and Billy is her dead father.
When Tara is in the hospital she is watching Dawson's Creek, a show created by Scream writer Kevin Williamson. The episode she is watching, titled “The Scare” (S01E11), is an homage to Friday the 13th and involves the characters being creeped out by rumours of a serial killer on the loose in their small town. Joshua Jackson (one of the guys in Randy's film class in Scream 2) played one of the main characters on the show. On top of that, the clip used features Scott Foley (Roman/GF in Scream 3) who guest starred in a few episodes.
Times when the movie alludes to the real killers: Before Richie introduces himself to Amber at the hospital, he covertly glances in Sam's direction to make sure that she is still fooled into believing that he and Amber are total strangers. Richie's “I’ll be right back” is like Stu in the original (plus, Randy was Mindy’s uncle). When Sam gets a call from GF in the hospital break room, her caller ID says "Maybe: Amber Freeman". Richie watching the first Stab movie in the same room as a sleeping Sam and Tara after the latter has been attacked by GF and put in the hospital seems very insensitive, but in hindsight the character is most likely mocking the sisters for failing to work out that he is one of the killers.
When Richie is watching a video about Stab 8, the top recommended video is "Interview with Woodsboro survivor Kirby Reed", confirming that Kirby did indeed survive the last movie (The scene was initially going to be a clip of the video and in a deleted scene there is a missing poster of Kirby briefly visible). Another video with the title "Did the real-life Stu Macher survive?" is a reference to how often the idea of bringing the character back has been teased as a possibility in the series despite his apparent death. In fact, an early draft of the Scream 3 script had Stu return as a killer before the infamous rewrites. Everything on the RUclips page is an Easter Egg, right down to the subscriber number 821,939 which is Wes Craven's birthday, August 2nd 1939.
Richie's "Did you just hit me with a phone?!" to Tara in the hospital is a reference to Matthew Lillard's improvised line in the first movie. Other attacks that are a nod to the original is Chad's attack outside mirroring Casey's and Mindy's shoulder injury mirroring her uncle Randy's first wound (Mindy's attack parallels her uncle's attack right down to the color scheme of their outfits - both are wearing a light green top and brown pants).
Richie and Amber bond and come up with their plan after meeting in a subreddit dedicated to the Stab films, which is likely a blended homage to Mickey & Mrs. Loomis meeting over the internet in Scream 2 and Jill & Charlie in Scream 4.
Amber's death is similar to Mikey Madison's character's death in Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (where she plays a member of the infamous Manson family). Furthermore, Amber's burnt face is not only a reference to Freddy Krueger but the special effects team went so far as to replicate the exact prosthetic style of his gruesomely burnt ears.
Before Sam grabs the knife to kill Richie she is looking for a weapon and spots an umbrella, which is a callback to the one Sid used to stab Billy.
Following the release of this movie, Kevin Williamson revealed that Scream 4 was supposed to be the start of a new trilogy. He said in the 5th movie, Jill would have gone to college where Sidney was a professor and faced off with a killer who knew she'd been the killer in the previous movie, while Scream 6 was gonna answer whatever happened between Dewey and Gale. That was cancelled due to Scream 4's relatively poor box office performance.
This movie ends EXACTLY like the original.
tara's attack was amber, the vids were pre-recorded. richie was in california with sam at the time
In Scream 6 Ghostface Is Not Playing Anymore ❤️🔥
So excited for you guys to react to scream 6.
YES. thought I’d be waiting a while, what a treat 😭😭😭😭😭
LOVE YOU GUYS!
Idk if you realized but the guy from smile is also the same actor as the emo boy from jennifers body
Not Rob saying scream 4 one liners were cringe I mean I think I prefer “never fuck with the original” and “clear” over “never fuck with the daughter of a serial killer” and “I still prefer the babadook”💀 next one’s sm better tho nothing can beat out the first and fourth one for me since it was the beginning of a new era and still inspired by the first, this tried too hard to call back to the first imo
Can't wait for your Scream VI reaction!
Fun fact and this may have already been said on a video but the guy who wrote and created SCREAM is the co creator of The Vampire Diaries TV show Kevin Williamson. The original SCREAM is still my favorite thriller/Horror film it feels so nostalgic to me.
I'm glad I'm not the only one pointing out Red Right Hand has been in nearly all the Scream movies.. When I heard it in this movie I was so excited that it was back, because it wasn't in the fourth movie, because they didn't get the rights for it I believe
"the what open?"
"The duORr" 😂😂
I'm so excited for you guys to watch the 6th cause it's so good and probably my favorite to be honest!
“i’ve never seen something 1 though”😭😭
The red right hand also plays in the first scream movie
53:54 - The f**kin' hand sanitizer?!
Scream 6, I think is my favourite for the reboots, I can't wait to see your guys' reaction to it.
How is this the first time yall notice red right hand? Lol
Scream 6 was freaking awesome as well. Im gonna watch it later 😁
IM SO GLAD YOU LIKED IT I ALSO LOVED THIS MOVIE!! I absolutely ADORE THE NEW CREW THEY SET UP FOR THE FUTURE!! The core four is incredible! I never thought in a million years I would accept anything but Syd, Gale, and Duey.
But they did such a good job of tying in the new with the old and setting up to bring the franchise into a new era. UNFORTUNATELY THEY PULLED THEE DUMBEST MOVE EVER AND FIRE MELISSA BARRERA…since they did that Jenna Ortega said she won’t return. Which is a bummer!! Those two I found them sooooo interesting especially after Scream 6!
And the remaining core 4 and OG’s going into Scream 7 I was incredibly excited to see what they do with them. But now who knows? Plus a lot of them potentially died in 6 who knows who will actually be left standing ;)
i live for the ghostface impressions 😂😂
the way that one specific death had me sobbing. i had to pause the movie and watch the rest later. rip
Red right hand is in every one of these movies..
16:30 omg lmao that was good!
The twins are definitely the best characters from the newer movies. I thought Chad was just gonna be a.. well... A Chad. But he's great. I like to think of him as the new Dewey of sorts. Mindy's great too, she cracks me up and she's got major swag. I'm glad they're keeping Randy's legacy going.
Dewey's death is still really hard for me. He was the best. I named one of my cat's after him, and that cat recently got sick randomly and died and it was really devasting. I had to skip over Dewey's death scene in your reaction because it would have been too hard.
Great reaction, but I felt bad for Rob when it was obvious he was trying to listen to Sam or other parts of the movie and Zuff kept Zuffing out.
i said it before and i'll say it again.....the Scream series has been utterly brilliant so far. i've seen all of them and i love all of them. True i like some a little bit more than others but we all feel that way don't we. If i had to pick a favourite it would probably be either the original Scream, Scream 4 or Scream 5...but i digress they are all brilliant in my eyes.
it is just the way they are told...the development...the interconnection...it really is BETTER than Saw i stand by that and we all know how many Saw films there are.
This is by far my favorite scream movie.
we need that scream 6 reaction
