Prior to 1976: They only had two car cues and with Poker Game being the new game at the time they only had 20 active games, so they had to repeat some of the games in the same week.
It's a good thing they started to make new car cues at some point that season (Bean Stalker, Big Banana, Family Feud) around May since those two car cues would not hold up and be too repetitive.

My slightly older sis is about three months older than TNPIR. I was about a month old when TPIR went to 60 minutes, yet we're both 29. Thanks for uploading the debut episode of the hour long TPIR, Andre.
That showcase skit is certainly one of the most, if not the most memorable showcase skit ever made!
This is the point where they made skits which were the staples of this show!
