Gregor! Thank you very much for such useful, necessary and extremely charismatic videos that you make!
Hey Gregor... I just wanted to take a minute to thank you for all of your time spent on compiling these videos for S1.
I've been a vocalist for over 40 years and live and studio engineer for half of that.
I really think you are doing a Really Great Job Here!!
Ser Gut Ya !
Sincerely Constantinos
The Zoom method hits. I will be using that all the time now. I never worked your other way into my flow, though I appreciated the video.
Very helpful! I especially like the Rename Events shortcut. I frequently decide that a track would sound better using a different instrument, so I add the new insrument and drag the events into it, but then I've got (for instance) the Oboe playing a bunch of events that are named "Clarinet". It has always bugged me, but I am too lazy to fix it. This makes it easy.
I do wish there were some way to accomplish that over multiple (or all) tracks. But you can't have everything :)
Regarding shortcut #1, if you press the left or right arrow you can move the dot selected one quarter towards that direction each time.
More great tips, much appreciated.
Thanks, Gregor. Very helpful!
Thank you Gregor!!
I noticed in a previous video that you brought up Universal Control with a single click. Is that a macro that you had created? Or did you have it opened independently from S1? Or do certain interfaces have more flexibility in that regard than others? Lastly, is that mixer in U.C. an internal mixer for the interface, independent of the mixer in S1, or is it integrated with the song page mixer? Perhaps it might need a full video dedicated to this as there isn't much on its functionality beyond that of supplying the drivers for the hardware. It might not be as sexy as mixing /mastering and workflow efficiency, but it could be helpful to fully understand what capabilities it has to offer.
Dude!!!! You thought me a few things just now that is going to help me drastically!!!! Wow! Thank you my dude!!!!
Thanks. Unfortunately S1 still doesn‘t support middle mouse button hold and move to scroll/move in the timeline. All other audio tools or DAWs I’m using do this. (Nuendo/Cubase, Wavelab, Bitwig…) It keeps me from using S1. 😢
Try using shift and mousewheel.
Hold shift and it’ll do it. Hold alt and try the wheel I can’t remember exactly which keys allows the wheel function being I just do it without looking.
Yes! As small thing it may be, it is probably №1 feature i m sooo badly need. Got used to it not only in other DAW's but also in video/motion design/ui software..Fingers crossed. I guess an option to switch between current behaviour (tools) and pan tool is pretty possible. Somewhere in settings
Ok, split edit is great for drum editing, thank you.
Can you please make a video about the use of "set root tab", under files in the browser
We have a video on "Set Root Tab": Enter R8mJgjbTqqM in the RUclips search.
Option/Alt + Shift + Arrow Up/Down -> Nudge Up/Down fine ;-)
Thanks!
lol, keyboard short cuts. a guitar players dream.
Gregor, This may sound like a silly question but..is it possible to record sound from your PC (say from a video) directly to Studio One?
Grego your desk looks as if you were making the announcements and setting the points on the Railroad 😅, ....anyway great video
Thanks🎉🎉🎉
Cool beans. But Option-[down/up arrow] moves my selected volume points up/down by a whopping 6.4db. (Studio One 5)
Shift enter just saved me 15 minutes renaming session tracks!!
For some reason, the track rename shortcut didn't work in mine. I also noticed I don't have that green Z setting Joe talked about that handles monitoring latency. Are some of these features missing in the subscription version of the software?
No, there are not differences between subscription version and non-subscription version, feature-wise. Try "Shift+Enter" while renaming tracks again, I'm absolutely sure it works ;-)
@@studioonetutorials Ohh, SHIFT, lol. Sorry, I was doing ctrl alt. Will do. Can you tell me why the Z function might be disabled, too, though? Sorry to ask so many questions. I just have to master this.
@@joshuaandrewsmusic It probably depends on your Dropout Protection setting. Try setting it to a higher value.
Jai ho Gregor 😊
❤❤
I'm kinda jealous of your hair dog. I was way too pretty to have hair, so I got rid of mine. I personally couldn't handle all the harassment for being so beautiful. Anyway, great video... and hair.
