I have a great one I just learned... Many times I've wished I'd added a 4 bar intro to a song. Moving the entire song seemed a hassle, but it isn't!! 1st; Cntrl + A , then
Cntrl + Shift + the right arrow, and you can move all the tracks down the timeline one bar at a time. Very handy. Need to move them back? use left arrow.

Hey, you can also highlight a loop bar along the top timeline for the space you want, right click and insert silence. Easy & v useful when arranging.

Thank you for the vids! @studioonerevealed - Can you help with these:
    1. How do I stop studio one from auto-selecting an audio section? - difficult to explain but every time I undo something (ctr-z), or need to re-record some audio (z), studio one automatically selects (highlights?) an audio segment in that track, and I've recorded over things so many times it's infuriating. I've defaulted to clicking on the grid every time I want to do anything just to make sure nothing is selected so it doesn't get accidentally replaced :/
    2. How do I disable the "x" key from opening up the scratchpad? I tried on the shortcuts options but I can't seem to disable it. I use "z" to record and oftentimes press x accidentally when I'm repeating takes.
    3. Last one :) Is there a way to make the track time bar at the top taller? you know the main bar at the top where you would set a loop start and end point for instance. On a 4K display this bar is way too small to interact with.
    Thanks in advance!!

As usual... excellent content and info Mike! Thanks! 🎸 You can also access and modify shortcuts in S1... I use zoom all track... I set my shortcut to Q to and it will zoom the selected track view and Shift+Q to reset all tracks to fit on screen. Rock On Sir!!

Hugely informative video which flows between each nugget of info very elegantly. I've been ineptly using Studio One since v3 and have maybe picked up 4 or 5 of the tips presented here over the years. I've taken copious notes, so will be aiming to get as many of these logged in the muscle memory as soon as possible! Thanks for a very rewarding 12 minutes!

Hi Mike, having only recently started using Studio One not very many of these shortcuts have made it into my workflow. I knew a couple of them but, thank you so much, this Video will go straight to to top of my saved list.🍻

Hello, first of all thank you for all your magnificent work. Now, I have a MIDI question if you could help me out please? I have a little project where I use bought in midi files with the aim of playing all the guitar and bass parts m self and deleting the relative tracks. I have been putting an instance of Presence on the tracks that need a MIDI instrument and selecting what ever is needed in the Presence menu. Am I doing this correctly or is there a more efficient way of adding MIDI instruments ? I get the feeling that I could probably putting too much load on the CPU. Look forward to hearing from you (please)

Thank you for your awesome tips. I've been trying to find out why my studio 6 pro has suddenly started to freeze up. This is frustrating because I have to do a force shut down on my laptop. Can anyone here help me with this?

How did you get F12 to open your pinned plugins? My F12 is already assigned by Studio One to Toggle Floating Windows.

MIKE: where is the "CREATE CUSTOM SCALES" for the MIDI Editor??? I've asked this question too many times, even asked AI's and no one knows.. older version HAD this feature, this one is really broken. I've added new .muslcalscale files, they are very very simple XML scripts.. I created them, SO1.7 recognized one, if I add all the new ones, they show in the list, but don't load. If I remove and restore the original.. all the names of my new ones are in the list, but they don't function.. all XML files are identical, and other than legal XML comments, their syntax is perfect.. had them AI proved

I have a series on my channel on how to make the most of a gaming keyboard to simplify keyboard shortcuts that removes the need to use the ctrl, shift and alt keys.
