It's crazy that a 73-year-old Daltrey still has the lungs to knock it out of the park, especially after his throat surgeries a decade or so ago and Townshend just hasn't lost a step in 50 years,
I was at this show and Pete was really having a good time (except when his guitar technician didn’t have his instruments in tune as you saw) and he was in “the groove” totally.
I legit almost teared up when they went into the opening bars of "The Kids are Alright" and my god, Townshend invented the crunchy power chord and he's still got it in spades. I hope to see them sometime before I die.
Bands like The Who, Stones, Zeppelin, they're all in their own class. Each has reached something most bands never will. They are the original rock innovators not that there weren't those before them, they are in their classes too. They all are. People may forget how diverse the Who really are. It amazes me. I remember hearing Call me Lightening when I was a kid and totally dug that song. Then came pinball wizard. Then came me learning to play guitar. The Who music was one of my biggest and earliest influence. Townshend taught me how to play guitar by listening to his records and downright blowing me away as I got into them deeper and deeper. He is no doubt my biggest influence. They are such an unbelievable band and are still kicking. Thank God for that.
THE greatest live rock band ever . Even at this stage in their career they have the power the songs the attitude and the showmanship to put all comers into the shade. God bless em and just look at and listen to all those people confirming it
I agree! To continue to tour for this many years and to sound this good is just awesome! I am a big fan of The Who and I get to play a few of their songs each weekend. I keep it on as I work from home during COVID. Can't beat it! Sounds great ! Pete's Guitar sound is awesome for me , and it really help me recover from cancer, with all this time at home. The Tommy album with the Amazing Journey is a good example of a real Who jam sessions.
Zak Starkey is brilliant. Keith Moon was Zak's God Father, so very cool. I did see The Who in Springfield Mass in the 1970's at The Springfield Auditorium. That was a long time ago. Great memories thanks for this great show.
This is fantastic, doing all these songs they normally didn't do, and doing them totally inspired. And having a great time doing them. How long these guys have been doing this even losing John and Keith. And getting better and better with age and keep on keeping on and until you can't do it no more! Thanks The Who! You're showing people don't ever quit at life!
am in my 71 it was my generation great memories it was one my favourite group the world have changed but we keep going on in our life thanks for sharing
I love that while Pete has his current Fender-on-Fender rig, the back-up guitarist plays a P90-equipped SG through a bunch of Hiwatts while wearing a jumpsuit for that authentic vintage '70s Pete tone.
Just like a great / vintage wine , they get better with age ! also people don t realise how much petes little brother , simon ,adds to the power sound and what a great guitarist he is also ! enjoy the power /magic , of THE WHO ! , cheers ritchie .
I first saw them in 1968 in London when I was flying transport aircraft in the U.S. Naval Air...they were great then, last saw them this summer 2017 in Connecticut...and many times in-between....they are simply the best rockers in the world!
So lucky..... my big sister saw The Who in Houston when I was a little girl. I'd love to see them. They may be coming to Reno next year (I think) & if so I'm gonna go.
Tremendous stuff for a couple of old geezers. Once they hit their stride this concert really builds to a tremendous finale with Won't Get Fooled Again. Been a Who fan for forty something years and I'm still impressed. Pete and Roger...we salute you !

Well this is all a matter of preference anyway. When you look at the history of all these bands, The Stones are clearly number one in longevity, tickets sold etc. In the 70s they were widely recognized as the world's greatest rock and roll band. The Stones and Beatles have been widely regarded as the top two bands in rock history. Don't get me wrong I love The Who and Zeplin and many others but the Stones are kings in this world.
Mike, y don't like the stones very much, but, as you said, is all a matter of preference.I think don't exist the good music and the bad music, only exist the music that we like and the one that does not. I was just kidding
Mike. I somewhat agree. the Beatles and the stones..but thee greatest rock band. ever to walk this planet..the mighty led zeppelin..they could regroup ritenow..and demand billions..for a tour..n get it. without a fuss. and deservedly so..the Beatles n stones..most influential..along with the who..but greatest . musically.tivket sales..album sales. in in my 12 years as a whole froup..even Pete Townsend says it. he hated zeppelin..because they were so much better then us..true statement..
It’s a miracle these guys are still alive especially Pete and to be doing this at their age amazing especially roger still singing so well. So them in jersey a couple years ago great show
The who é a banda tão fodastica, que meteu uns sons psicodélicos sem deixar as canções lentas e chatas.
Thank you so much for putting this up! It's all magical, especially the stuff from Quadrophenia and Tommy! What a fantastic sound and what unbelievable musical craftsmanship!
Watched this live on a hill touching the festival fence, joined by about 50 authentic San Francisco hippies, the air smelt like the summer of love atleast
thank you for this...50 years they've been playing...well, daltrey and townshend made it to 50 years...they still sound amazing...if not better in some instances...and townshend is way funnier than he ever was in any shows i've seen ♥ ♥ ♥ thanks again

Saw them in the old Cleveland Municipal Stadium, maybe 1990..somewhere in there. It was a Tommy Anniversary Show. Roger in his 70s is still a force and frankly still in the top 5 rock voices of all time. Pete is THE MASTER, and his brother is tremendous. They have a new album coming. I can't wait!
Dude is a drummer, almost like Keith was, huh ? He does Mr. Moon justice, but, Sorry to say, Keith Moon will never be replicated. Impossible. He was a human drum machine extraodinaire.
The who greatest band ever.
BEST ROCK BAND OF THE WORLD
PETE. THE. BEST
It's crazy that a 73-year-old Daltrey still has the lungs to knock it out of the park, especially after his throat surgeries a decade or so ago and Townshend just hasn't lost a step in 50 years,
It is now 2022. 15 years later, Daltrey is 88 and still touring.
The Who's greatest gig of the 21st Century. Hadn't seen or heard Pete with that kind of fire since the Concert for New York after 911.
I was at this show and Pete was really having a good time (except when his guitar technician didn’t have his instruments in tune as you saw) and he was in “the groove” totally.
Maybe the best I have seen (on video) in the last 20 years!
Ringo's son is an absolute beast.
Most than Ringo.
@@gefett I like them both for different reasons.
I legit almost teared up when they went into the opening bars of "The Kids are Alright" and my god, Townshend invented the crunchy power chord and he's still got it in spades. I hope to see them sometime before I die.

The Rock 🥹. Wow
Ancora meravigliosi! senza tempo, grande arte
the who sound incredible, considering only 2 left, will always be one of the best bands ever,
Any time I see Pete and Roger doing something that's less than a year ago I can't hardly believe it. 2017. Wow
I love that while Pete has his current Fender-on-Fender rig, the back-up guitarist plays a P90-equipped SG through a bunch of Hiwatts while wearing a jumpsuit for that authentic vintage '70s Pete tone.
Awesome video, thanks so much for such a wonderful gift. I love these two sensational stars ⭐️. Roger looks wonderful, super athletic.
Both Roger and Pete are in fantastic shape at this gig, top of their games.

☯️ Roger Daltry is still charismatic & sexy as ever💋/and I always love the sincerity of Pete Townshend's lyrics.

That transition from My Generation to Cry if you Want though, I literally freaked out when it happened that was the coolest thing I've ever heard
Always a highlight for me!
