Why don’t we just go back to black outs? Overhead cables are much cheaper and easier to maintain. And if there is a problem with the cables underground the residents would be moaning about the cables being dug up again. Pylons are part of the British landscape and have been for over half a century, and without them there would be no continuous supply of electricity into people’s homes and businesses.
Pylons have always been a part of the rural landscape. The only reason these people don't want pylons is because it might affect the value of their property. There is nothing wrong with that. Just say so.
