  • PHASE 1 of Shoulder Day
    Lifting for Strength
There is a way to train for everything
But that means we have to be methodical about where we place certain movements
If you are lifting for strength…then we are lifting with the intention of getting stronger
    Putting up MORE weight
And it is BEST to take advantage of this by making this the very first thing we do (Strength Training)
    Why?
Our Central Nervous System is at its most fresh it’s going to be for that day
It is best to take advantage of that by lifting for strength
With Strength muscles need to move EFFICIENTLY
It’s simply a game of performance..did you put up more weight or more reps at X weight
Then great..if you didn’t then we have something to improve on
Stay tuned for PART 2 coming this Saturday where I spill the formula for muscle growth onto the shoulders (regardless of genetics)

Who is Uncle Rommy? And who are “The Natural Crusaders?”
Well it’s a group of guys who want to live up to the man they know they are capable of being
“The Natural Crusaders” are on the rise
The Roid Heads will fall out of style
Because training is more about self-realization more than health itself
    Mobility & Function
    Power & Aesthetic
Most of my life I was burning down the rainforest to desperately find my “gift”
The blessing & the curse of my situation:
I was a natural at a lot of the things I would try
I was told often “you have a lot of potential…you’re wasting your talent”
It was frustrating because I never knew what to double down on because I thought I was making the wrong decision
Where do I pour all this energy I possess?
But that was the problem…I was living inside my head
I put myself into the role of fulfilling what OTHER people thought my potential was
Playing the game of life to surpass OTHER peoples standards
It took me quite some time to realize that I didn’t have clarity on MY OWN standard as a man
When I finally decided to turn my brain off and completely lead with my fiery heart and spirit
My standard and mission became crystal clear
Which is all encompassed through the “Natural Crusader”
The Natural Crusader is always on the rise
    The natural in training
    The natural with his words
    The natural in sports
    The natural in business
The natural in relationships & conversations
The Natural Crusader is far from perfect but his presence is magnetic
The Natural Crusader is the Jack of all Trades
The Natural Crusader above all else always remains a gentleman
This is what the Roid Heads are missing
This is what Science Based Optimal Lifters are missing
This is what the Macro/Calorie counting MyFitnessPal Fan Club is missing
We may not have the answers right now BUT will always end up figuring it out
Training is about self realization..the side effect is health
And the ONLY way to understand the extent of your ability & power (or "fulfill your potential”):
Is going to a place mentally where no one is willing to go
    That's transcendence
And thats what we are here to do

Do overhead bar and dumbell press...without the back support.
It hurts your ego but hits your side delts and back delts more.
When you use back support then upper chest shares the load with front delts. Front delts get trained even during biceps workouts

No it doesn't. More stability leads to greater muscle recruitment in the target area. Which is why you can have greater output on a machine where the weight moves in a fixed path rather than a free weights which cause greater recruitment of the stabilizer muscles.

@@wumaofiftycent-eq3bf Infraspinatus, traps, your rotator cuff etc. Search for the Renaissance Periodization channel, they have these topics broken down into college level lectures but in 10 minute videos. "Stability vs instability in training."
Or just google what muscles are targeted in a standing overhead press. Rear delts is not one of them.

Appreciate it and I'll be waiting for the next phases. Why do you do so much volume if you're training for strength? Wouldn't it be better to train strength in lower rep ranges, then do separate high volume work?

    • @UncleRommy
      @UncleRommy  3 месяца назад +1

My rep ranges usually are 4-6 for strength for 3-4 sets then followed by that drop set. Usually 1 warm up set
