@@RoryOnAir any plans for world helicopter day in a couple of weeks? I know we are having a free fly in at Barton... Is there much happening at Leicester?
I enjoyed the ride around my local cabbage patch Rory. I fly a fixed wing, a Foxbat, with superb visibility, not quite as good as an R44. A friend who flies from Bliss took me for a ride around Purbeck a couple of months ago and the helicopters characteristics felt uncanny at times but was super fun. Like you, I have to pinch myself when I am in the air, such a hard earned privilege. My joy is to take friends and family for a Solent or New Forest flip and see their pleasure writ large across their faces. I fly from a farmstrip near Lymington and Compton is one of my favourite destinations. Sadly, greed caused the closure of Old Sarum that I had as a base for many years, but Goodwood, Sandown and Lee are all within 20 minutes flight time ready to facilitate that $100 cup of coffee 🤣😎
Superb stuff. Yeah I absolutely love sharing the flying experience with passengers, it’s a real pleasure as you say. Sounds like you’ve got some good places to visit nearby too. Thanks for watching. 👍
