Definitely, like one of the earliest comments said: there's a hole for a screw on the rail part that's meant for the bottom (not the one attached to the drawer), stick like a small screwdriver to not allow the plate with ball bearings to move with the top part of the rail as you pull. When you do this, then the ball bearing plate won't lock the other part and you'll be able to pull them apart, it still takes some strength but comes out easily. Hope this helps!

+Philip Giacomantonio Part 2 is probably the simplest way. Pull apart with a firm steady motion. If it locks up on you, push them back together and try again. Steady pressure is the name of the game. Not fast a motion.
After I posted this I went to their web site, even though someone complained about the quality of info. All you have to do is give it a good yank and it pops right out with no problem. It is the simplest way to do it. Thanx again, Phil G
I found a easier way guys !! Under the slides there’s a hole right in the middle just stick something inside there to old the ball bearing slide and just put it it’s a lot simpler works on all size

I bout a 16" one and It will not pull apart that way. There is a stop built in so that the draw won't pull all the way out.
The lesson to learn: NEVER BUILD A CHEST OF DRAWERS WHERE YOU WOULD NEED CENTER MOUNT SLIDES.
EVER.
I can not for the life of me pull them apart. I can only assume that requires a man’s strength.
