    Deleting pads from a pattern used to be annoying but they improved it a lot in the 1.14 firmware update. You can go to pattern edit, hold down DEL, tap the pads you want to clear, and press the enter button. WAY better now.

    • @malobeats
      @malobeats  2 года назад +19

      Does this delete the entire take in that sequence without having to hold down the pad till it loops around? If that’s the case I am so glad you stepped in to leave this on the comments because that is exactly what I was looking for lol, blessings to you and thank you for dropping by brother

    • @shadiradio
      @shadiradio 2 года назад +13

      @@malobeats Yeah exactly! You have to be in pattern edit mode, not while recording, but you can clear the pads you choose from the whole pattern without waiting/listening through a whole pass. Thanks for the great vids!

    I'm a new SP user, and I've watched a LOT of videos. This is hands down the most useful video on the SP404MkII I've watched. YMMV, of course, but it's not just the explanations of the functions, it's how they work together that is shown in such great detail. Definitely will watch any SP content you share.

      @malobeats  2 года назад +2

      Hey brother thank you so much for dropping by and taking the time to watch the video, and I would recommend just messing with the percentage of the quantization to get a better feel and groove since I feel like the shuffle feature is not as useful since I don’t hear much of a difference.
      And yes you are able to record the 16 level velocity mode in pattern mode which has been very useful since I’m always on the full level pad function and every now and then I will use the 16 level mode.

    if we make beats on 404mk2, we can't mix stems on daw as usual track making
    the master track(final song?) only can be delivered through output into daw or computer
    is it right 404's workflow?

      Yes, I really wish we had something that would allow us to export individual stems but as far as I’m concerned in order to stem out your beat you would have to solo each pad and track it individually to your DAW

      @@malobeats I think in the sp404 companion app, you can export individual pads/samples to your desktop? So if you do resamples of each beat component to pads in a bank, then export, I think it should work. I've only had mine a few days, so haven't done this yet, I've just imported samples from koala using the app so far 😁👍🏾

    i have question, here is what i need to achive, is it possi ble with SP ?
    - midi clocknsync SP with Syntakt, which feeds SP with audio
    - arm SP for recording
    - then with start of next pattern SP starts automatically record audio
    - after end of pattern SP stops recording automatically mutes audio input and starts loop and play recorded audio

    I'm running into a problem with my sample chops. After jamming a loop out a couple times it will play bits of other pads which I'm not currently pressing. Same issue when sequencing, it plays the chops smoothly 1 or 2 times but will randomly play other pads without me pressing them? It seems to be completely random, sometimes it will happen on the 3rd bar, sometimes on the 4th bar etc... Can't figure out why this is happening 😢
