Hey man, you are probably not seeing this, but I am a 12 year old xD. I just wanted to let you know that you are so inspiring. 🙏 I have been watching you since this year, snd for my 12th birthday I finally got an MPC Live 2. I watch your videos if I'm bored, or even need ideas on how to sample. Anyways, You are a great guy, and I wanted to thank you. You inspired me to start making music, and now I'm publishing it! Thank you for inspiring me, and have a blessed day! 🙏
Great tutorial Malo!!!! Your energy and passion come through with each video. I'm loving MPC 3.0 so much and it's easy too. Keep up the great content!!!
I have a question for everyone basically - how often do you load up a sample and then realize it just isn't going to work sonically (b/c it's too muddy etc..)?
Great tips, man. I'm settling in with this new MPC One + already. I'm super comfortable with plugins and programming drums. Since I play all my own parts and approached it from audio tracks/plugins primarily, I'm just learning how to use the sampling/resampling aspects and this helps.
Hey brother, thank you for sharing this. That’s so dope how you’re tapping into re-sampling and love hearing these different types of workflows. Type of stuff that I want to try out myself. Thank you so much, brother. I really appreciate you being here.
@@malobeats Contrary to my original opinion, the MPC is amazing haha. So many options and ways to manipulate and organize musical ideas. I just had to adjust and learn honestly. Oh, and man! If you can, spread the word on Akai bringing back odd time signatures for sequences on MPC3! That's such an important feature that Akai Force lacked too. I'm a professional jazz/r&b pianist so I love to write challening music in odd time signatures so I'm hoping they bring that back.
Getting joy from it after a hard night of work and feel stressed, it gives a good feeling of being creative I'm traveling through different cities in Belgium right now to visit different kind of record store where i can sample from, there are already 4 beatvideos i put online right now Whenever you got the time, it would mean alot if you could check it! next year i'm gonna visit every country in the Netherlands It's also a joy for me whenever i hear a emcee do it's thing on a beat i made So yeah I understand it very well when you said it makes you happy 😅 Thanks alot for the lessons you put on youtube man, because of you, i improved ALOT!!! Whenever someone new is asking me to learn the mpc, i always send them to your youtube page Thanks alot for the knowledge! ✌️ Tom(BLR)
Love the energy man! I see the sincerity in the video's. I have more of a flat energy going on but sometimes I wish I could get excited as you the behind the MPC lol.
@@famosguider205 you have no idea how much this type of message means to me. Sometimes I just get lost in the moment not knowing the type of effect it might have on others. I’m grateful that there is some type of positive energy. Thank you for being here and for mentioning this.
Thanks for this video. It's cool to feel your positive energy ! this trick will be very useful. last times, i used MPC to record some instrument play and not to sample record, but I understand when you explain the moment of joy when all works good together. Take Care.
@@stilltrippin6100 I’m extremely humbled by this message. You have no idea how much this means. Thank you so much for taking the time to share this with me. Much love and blessings to you.
Love the energy i sample with the sp1200 and mpc 5000 and a house full of records its fun and the energy feels youthful and the fact that its 2024 and im still finding dope sample records just adds to mix
Man iwas doing this yesterday ..shit blewmij fing mind ..amazing how it stay in the program and even select any of the pads .beta 3 is killing it 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🧨🧨🧨🧨🚀🚀and the stard and ending ajustment freely 💯💯💯🧨
I like using pad tap also but my only gripe with it is if I want to grab the downbeat at the very beginning of the record. There’s no real efficient way of timing it to get that first chop if you know what I mean. Can always grab it just a little late and edit the slice later of course
@@oracularmusic I know exactly what you mean. I usually just press the pad even if it’s a few seconds before the downbeat just to get it going and adjust the start points of that individual pad afterwards. Minor extra step though
I would love to have the ability to set a bar amount and bpm to sample instead of the sec/min option to get perfect loops from resampling for instance. Now you always have to discard the end and find the perfect loop with the end point.
There really is not a better or worse place to start. I just go with whatever strikes me first with inspiration. It could all initiate from a drum break and I build from there or there’s other times where I’m driven by the sample as a priority and then drums after.
Malo. Brother. PLEASE let go of that joy! I love to see it and I'm usually right there with you. Question: I just want to confirm that when you sample another part of the record that you don't have to re-arm the sampler (press the red/white button under the timer). Once you hit the next pad the recording resumes automatically. Is that right?
Thats fiyah Malo!! But yo did I miss the part explaining the difference between pad tap vs slice? Whats the difference between the two? Tks for this video!
Hello, thanks for this tuto but can you give us a MPC 3 tip : how to export our finals songs or beats to our Daw from our MPC Standalone, this tip is missing on youtube, please? thanks
Quick question where do u keep ur record knob level at on the back of the mpc? And if set do u just adjust the level from ur turntable or if using ur phone to sample?
@@djnoriega hey, yes, the gain knob is placed on the back of the MPC and if I need to do any level adjustment, I’ll try to set the volume level at about 75% and then use the gain knob on the MPC accordingly
@StatetrooperBillyBill I really like that it's at the back cuz it stays where u left it.. out of sight on the mind.. sometimes on the 2000 u twist the wrong knob.. atleast I do.. lol
The button/screen click &zoom effects are dope. I’m sure you get asked this all the time but how do you arrange a boom bap beat without it getting too repetitive? I seem to lose my train of thought going into the other verses. Like using other parts of the song and trying to keep the listener interested. Could you make a video on this? Nice way of using lazy chop but Aren't you recording the whole record into a slice pad while spotting new samples?.. so the process is to go in and delete the long takes?.. still cool but this method would be better if one could stop recording in this mode..
