I love that they made the whole supercharger with metal parts except the intake and the rotors.
yes it's great haha
The rotors were just coasted in plastic/rubber to help them actually seal. It was meant to do basically this at that price, work for a moment.
Would have rebuilt the rotors with steel and send it

Its not plastic, its a ceramic coating to better seal the rotors. The reasoning that happened is there was no bypass valve put in place.@@The.Rad.Factory
Should have just put a leaf blower in the intake.

A good cheap swap for a Miata could be a supercharged 3800 out of a Pontiac gtp or something, it’s a factory supercharged v6 pushing around 300 stock I believe. Feels great in a Miata, my buddy did the same swap and it’s like a mini hellcat

Where is the bypass valve? 2:35 You revved the engine to the redline and then let of the throttle, essentially blocking the intake with the throttle body, with no way for the pressure to escape if there is no bypass valve.

I love the content brotha try a b20b swap you can find them in crvs or crashed swapped integras i had one in my integra and the tourqe was amzing especially if you take your time on part sourcing but keep up this style of filling this is truly RAD🙏🏿

Hi, if you remove the inlet and outlet you will see how restricted they are. Just make new flanges to match the port size. This does work well with a amr supercharger.

you did add oil in the supercharger before using it? they always ship without oil...
as for the charger itself, it seems pretty solid.
even the legit aisin amr300 and 500have plastic rotors iirc.

It looks to be spinning the wrong way, It’s spinning clockwise and pumping air out the bottom where the air intake is. I’m amazed it ran like that. If you were to make boost anyway you would have blown out all the engine gaskets with the crank case ventilation tube connected to the pressurized side of the intake anyway. It would be cool to see another go at this, I bet it would be successful 😁
To give it some credit. Likely over spun the charger due a mismatch of pulley.
Get an AMR500 supercharger, it should be better and not plastic, but still not gonna blow anyones doors off 😋

im thinking the plastic might have been some kind of protection that youre meant to remove
you should take that housing and turn a regular turbo into a supercharger since its got the gears. just find a smaller gear that fits one of those and you have a supercharger.
The our never expected that supercharger to last it didn't sound lubricated at all
i've got the same blower at home and it's excellent quality. but it's quite old, may be off whatever car temu replicated it from. has alloy intake and outlet and rotors.
we're going to get one like that and try again!

You should have put a piece of window screen on the intake tube to catch the parts I happened to a friend of mine but I put a piece of window screen in and slid the coupler over it and caught all pieces that came off

This super charger has an operating rpm range that nobody ever seems to pay attention to, you can't just bolt it up. Maby one day some channel will get it right 😂
The supercharger would probably be good for one of those kei vehicles. Give it a bit more power and therefore more capability and strangely more fuel economy
I've been thinking about supercharging my 2.2L 99 chevy cavalier with new tires, Cold air intake and a good bottom end rebuild all in one go would probably add a little pep and pickup.
check out our amazon supercharger video, with low boost like we got the stock bottom end would probably be ok. but i'm not an expert in cavaliers...
@The.Rad.Factory the reason why I say bottom end rebuild is because whilst the gm 2.2 is a good engine it's number 4 cylinder likes to play peekaboo out the side of the block if you don't at least upgrade/make sure the rod bearings are up to snuff for it.
Here's the part that gets me.. SOOO many people would love a low cost, bolt on supercharger... Some chinese manufacturer could easily pump out a legit product that could produce 5-10psi of boost and make a killing.

Why would you be pushing oil out? The Aisin Superchargers have their own self contained oiling system?
Should do a Inline 6 chevy with brazil mods twin turbo they use stock cast heads and get over 2000hp pretty easily that's pretty good for a internal cam Inline 6 I prefer the 292s for torque but the engine they use in brazil is the 4.1 liter still alot of them around I just picked one up with a 3 speed stick for 300 bucks complete it fires right up

I'm pretty sure you're supposed to fill those blowers up to a certain level with oil. Hence the noise/instant death/coatings dieing

if you want a light inline 4 use the alfa 4c engine super small 1.8 but it makes 240hp stock and 300hp with a simple map
that would be wild!

If you wanna supercharge on the cheap, get an eaton m60 or m90, I go for the m90 for more boost.

Honestly the engine might be okay it's just that one of those plastic rotor parts probably got jammed in a valve so you might have a bent valve but other than that I don't expect crazy damage

Need a bypass valve that returns to the airbox.... I had an AWD JDM (japanese import) Subaru Vivio-RXR Aisin makes the AMR 300(which was on the vivio) and 500, and you bought the wish version, which makes no sense because they cost nothing..... get the AMR 500 and a bypass valve so you dont stress anything long term.....

As a guy who makes S/C Kits based around the AMR500. You are using it incorrectly. The AMR its a Roots Blower. You need to relocate the throttle body to the INTAKE side of the charger

No, you just need to move the throttle body. The air intake need to be governed by a butterfly. It shouldnt sound like air-raid siren 24/7@@The.Rad.Factory

This is actually such a trainwreck of a part 😭 like who the hell makes the rotors out of plastic, that seems like a disaster waiting to happen... I did not expect it to straight up blow and kill the engine, respect for trying this 😂 i guess if there's a demand for ultra cheap parts people will buy them...

Get a vortec 4200 from a trailblazer to swap in and boost it. Essentially a GM 2jz for $300

I'm not sure where you'd get different internals. I think temu needs to make it differently
It might make less peak horsepower but probably make.more low end torque so it might be better
what happened to the other channel?
It just seemed like it was blacklisted by youtube. no matter what we did we couldn't get views. I'd spend thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours making a video that would get a few hundred views and make $3 which just isn't sustainable. I figured we had nothing to lose by starting over and this first video got 10k views in a week which never happened once in over 3 years on the other channel so hopefully it was the right choice. It definitely wasn't an easy choice and I'm glad you found the new channel we have some awesome stuff coming!
