Thanks for the Videos Brad, we have the same bike and i agree with you, putting the spring back in the carb is a fiddly job. I twisted my spring over the cable in the end ! . My bike was off the road for 30 years but is now back on the road as a rolling restoration as i have lots of jobs i would like to do .It's interesting to see how someone else tackles the same problems you have come across.
I find it a good idea to use a straight edge to check the carb' flange whilst the carb is off. Often people do one nut up tight, then the other instead of one at a time.
Got to love the look and lines of these old bantams...simplicity to work on not like today.
