Brad, I'm from Québec , used to much more complicated japanese bikes , but
nowadays would prefer BSA-like simpler machines ! I would just LOVE to work on
old english bikes and make them last ...but this won't happen around here .
Loved this video , what a simple, easy to work on bike !

Good video and gives a great description on how change the primary chain all would say is remove spark plug before doing this as it would make turning the engine much easier and safer

I've only just found your site, & found this most helpful. I have just bought a 1968 Bushman in need of restoration, & with little experience of bike maintenance/repairs, with the aid of manuals/ videos like yours, I hope to make some progress. Paul Lucas. Cardiff.

Where you used the old split link to hold the chain I have used a pair of o ring pliers to do the same. Can do this anywhere along the top run of the chain and you have a bit more room. I am still trying to find a system to compress the clutch springs to fit the large outer O ring when you use a linkless primary chain and you fit the drive sprocket and clutch basket together. there isnt room to use a conventional clutch tool. Useful video, well done.
