Not going to lie, ive been hoping this would come up. Ive been struggling with the tali since MM and the tougher servers. People were saying that dumbfire at point blank was the only way. Thank you for your dedication to science and figuring this stuff out
I tried many things for change the torpedos before i saw your video, but nothing has worked. A great thank you for sharing this workaround and for your great content!
I swapped the rear torpedo module into a cargo module to load several hoverbikes. Right now we can do a lot of fun things to sabotage or board an ERT target: - Scan ships with hoverbikes at 30 metres without risk - Open doors, hangars and docking collars with ballistic ammunition - Shoot the pilot of the 890 through the cockpit window with ballistic ammunition. Also the gunners in manned turrets, for example at the constallation (at the rear of the turret) - activate the self-destruct from the co-pilot's seat on the npc Hammerhead - destroy the ship's cannons and turrets cannons with ballistic weapons as on the Redeemer Note: Some NPC pilots cannot be shot because they have a T-position (Redeemer, some Constallations) Yes, the drug charges have become much rarer, but we have realised that a group of ERT ships is a lucrative target for a Reclaimer. So we boarded up to 4 ships at a time (timing is very important as all ships open fire when you board a ship) Then we stole the ships and moved them to a safe area for salvage with weapons and turrets disabled. In case of problems or targets without lucrative cargo, there are still the torpedoes.

I took my Eclipse out as a warm-up to taking out my Retaliator for a ERT mission. I fired off two torps and returned to base to re-arm. 1 torp costs 5k to re-arm... eeeeek! I went back to using my F7A MkI, Warden or Scorpius to run those.
You can easy change torpedoes and missiles, but you must unequip all in the same rack and save. Then it show you the others missiles or torpedoes and you can equip it.
Each patch I have to drop default torps on Eclipse and Tali and quip Typhoon. You have to just unequipp all torps from the ship and then new ones show up.

So summery i have to pay 125$ to get my Torpedos back to the Retaliator? not worth it. Edit: have an Vulture so i can melt it down for the furture. So i need the Standard Edition from the Retaliator or the Warbound?
So in summary: -equip typhoon 9 IR torpedoes -do not fire those IR torpedoes with the sun in the backdrop of your target -wait for "missile lock" audio cue to verify system guidance before firing -make sure your target is rendered in, server side -dying servers may cause hitreg issues A lot of the issues i had were trying to do the xenothreat mission where you have to fight clouds of hammerheads and adds, and apparently when you're detected, ALL turrets and ship guns in the ENTIRE CLOUD shoot at your torpedo. That is stupidly broken. Anyone got tips on getting a torp through that?

I don't know if this is the case for torpedoes but for missiles to swap them you need to unequip all missiles before the game lets you equip different type.

Prices will drop once there are legit sc competitors in the spacesim genre, but sc has no real competition at all so they can take their time and justify any price they choose

that's why you should use federal reserve notes
