Yeah bro I had a 68 GTS 340 at age 14 that was rocking in the 10's with what I would consider mild upgrades. 😅 one of the most underrated cars of its time❤ I made the mistake of letting my brother-in-law holds title for $1,600 Bond😢 and he sold it before I could even be processed out🤬 I would count that as one of the biggest mistakes I've made in my life💔✌️
Absolute perfection! This car was indeed considered one of THE cars back in that day. My older brother bought a white one in this year. His had 440 with a 727 TorqueFlight option. I late purchased a 69 Sport Fury with this same color and motor, and you're right about the power. These were ranked right up there with the big boys. This green color for the era was extremely popular. Combined with the HP 373 and tge 4 spd makes this car one of the more desired that you've offered I a while. Congrats on this find, as well as to it's lucky new owner! This truly is a gem!
Jay this car ROCKS!! I love it, what a rare optioned unique muscle car! Great score... giddie up & hang on that car moves! Perfect exhaust note & not too loud.
First car I ever drove was my father's 1968 Road Runner 383 four barrel when I was 14 years old… Parents, don't ever leave your car keys behind when you go on vacation
Sweet Dart!!!! My ride is my 1968 Barracuda fastback powered by a 400 based 512 stroker featuring Trick Flow heads and a hydraulic roller cam, backed up by an A833 4 speed manual. 👍
A coworker wasn’t a car guy but at one point his primary car was a 383 GTS four speed. His man commented on it was the difficulty getting traction on rainy days
BECAUSE ITS A GTS , IT HAS THE OPTIONAL 383 MAGNUM , THE 340 BEING THE STANDARD ENGINE !!! MR . NORM KRAUSS IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS MOD THAT THEY STARTED AT THEIR DEALERSHIP IN CHICAGO !!!!
OMGoodness, my best friend in H.S. sisters' husband had this exact car, even the same paint. I owned a '70 Mustang Mach I with a 351 Cleveland 4V that me and my Dad had blueprinted and converted to a mech cam that was one of the faster cars on town and the Dart owner et me drive his car a couple times...the BB torque was fun in that light Dart, it would turn the tires over just using the throttle...it felt so different than my Mustang, not as fast but it definitely had more torque.

I had a 383 and a Plymouth Fury III convertible came from the factory 4 speed on the floor with a bench seat it was beautiful I bought it used and I always believed 383 for Plymouth with a big block if a 390 cubic inch in a Ford with a big block I had a 390 and a two-door Fastback Galaxy 1968 so I say it for 390 with a big block so was a 383 have a nice day
Calm down man. Have you ever been wrong before? Yes, in your comment that started a word riot about that RS/SS Camaro you claimed had a 327 badge on it.

Oh my my my 383 is one of my favorite engines ever . This dart is badass
Jay on a roll today all cars have been 4 speeds so far plus 6 cars in one day.
Gud looking glossy green GT Dart with the 383 stock engine. That Dodge sounds great. I love that 4 speed.
I had my sister Dodge Dart with the slant 6. But I want to put that 318 in it.
Jay this car ROCKS!! I love it, what a rare optioned unique muscle car! Great score... giddie up & hang on that car moves! Perfect exhaust note & not too loud.
Take it for what it’s worth, I’m a nobody but love cars! You do a beautiful job showing your cars!!!! Very down to earth and inviting! Thank you!!

That's beautiful! My first car was a 74 Valiant Brougham. 318 Cid. These cars fly! I can only imagine a 383 cid in there!
The dark stains by the trunk are most likely dripping from the paint cup. Stuff happens! That Dart IS BEAUTIFUL!

You must be mighty PROUD of yourself! (I would be.)

Nice car. But has to be the most expensive Dart I have ever seen.
It would be worth more if Lloyd Duzell restored it. Also, no fish eyes.

You saying this is GTS there would have been a tag on the bucket seats a metal tag
It's a "console" not a "council"
383
💯🇺🇲💯🇺🇲💯🇺🇲🔥🔥🔥👍🤙✌️👌❤️❤️❤️♠️
383 is not a big block. Mopar never used that nomenclature. The only two companies that had big blocks was Chevy of course and Ford.
