Not really... they are the worst live band I have ever seen.... Saw them in Philadelphia, Atlantic City and New York.. City The trio are as tight as a frog's ass 😎😎😎. But Maynard 🗣🎙..... 😬😬😩🏳🏳🏳🏳😝
I wonder if people who aren't musicians notice all of the very subtle communication between the three instrumentalists? Every time I watch these live videos I see how often Adam, Justin, and Danny are giving each other subtle cues. They seem to be constantly talking to each other throughout the songs with subtle head movements, looks, facial expressions, etc. Moreso than any other band I've seen live.
Justin is one of the most stand out bassists on earth. He simply plays a role just as important as Adam in the band. He solos and does so much in the band. He is having so much fun in here. Tool forever!
I saw them in Milwaukee and we were lucky enough to be on Justins side of the stage right next to him. He is very entertaining to watch. Plus Adam and Justin came out in their halloween costumes. All around great show. I feel bad for people who aren't fans of this band.
2013 in Adelaide was a FAR performance. I recorded it but no biased here, it's fact, but couldn't get the last few seconds because, you know, security.
I was there right underneath you, and this poor guy, who was peaking on some kind of psychedelic, was being escorted out by security at the beginning of this song, and when the drums came in and the lights turned red, he dropped to the floor clutching to the railing as if it was the only thing in the world that was real. The kept yanking on him, and I interveined. I looked him in the eyes, and yelled, "It's all good, man! You're Okay!! It's Tool, baby!! You got this!" He looked at me terrified, violently nodded his head, stood up, and made his way up the stairs." I feel sorry that he probably didn't make it back to the show, but I hope I helped his trip a bit.
The surround sound was so freakin cool. Never experienced that at a concert before. It was most notable during the bridge in Pneuma for Danny's pads, the ambient sounds between songs, and especially Chocolate Chip Trip.
@@haroldbon9732 Especially interesting too because none of the so-called "rock critics" have picked up on it. Like you, I only noticed it on some of the more subtle arrangements of various songs. At full blast, the audience never new what hit them. Gotta give the sound guy major kudos, the Philly show was seriously dialed in across the board (literally) and clarity and intesity was off-the-charts
@@ericvonha7694 I noticed a lot of people looking up at the rafters during those parts like "whoa surround sound." I saw them in Cincinnati and Cleveland this tour and have to agree this is the best they've ever sounded. Loudest too, holy crap.
Harold Bon Saw them in Toronto on the 12th. Great show but expected it to be louder. No ringing ears after. Talked to a buddy who saw them the night before and he said the same thing. Whats up? Did Toronto get two dialed down shows? Been to many shows a lot louder. My wife dragged me to Fleetwood Mac a couple weeks before in the same building and my ears were ringing after that show. WTF?? Dont get me wrong, the sound was excellent but when killing Joke came on the bass was shaking my insides. I guess it shows you dont have to be loud to be great. Love it Loud though!
Saw them in Glendale, Az, best sound ever, and it was at the right level also, I thought nobody ever would top a Pink Floyd show sound but I stand corrected
Peter Hanes I agree because i was there! Jambi a highlight for me that night. That and Schism. Both not my favourite songs going in but damn afterwards i had changed my mind for sure.
Thanks so much for the upload...I'm too old to go to concerts anymore but I'm too young to not love TOOL....I wish TOOL played the Spectrum in the 70's ...:)
ROB-IN-PHILLY Go! You’re not too old. Everyone just stands their in their assigned seat and enjoys the music. It’s a lot more chill than you might think.
One of the most amazing concert experiences ever was seeing them 20th row in Atlanta on this tour. Even over the previous 3 times. It was unreal how tight they were. Money extremely well spent.
Seen Tool in the past, including outside surrounded by Arizona mountains, along with Puscifer a couple times and A Perfect Circle, and tbh you lucked out on Monday bc thats the best I have ever heard them, especially maynard. So fuckin good lol
Bill Anderson it’s lowkey infuriating how I’ll ask ppl around me if they ever liked tool in their youth and even my boss who is in his thirties said “he heard it around his roommates apt and it all sounded the same”.. I kept my mouth shut but he loves modern mumble rap so I’ll let him be the hypocrite lmao
Very nice sound quality! I'm going to see them in Vegas on January 17th. I first saw them in 2001 in Charlotte North Carolina touring Lateralus and then in 2003 in Richmond Virginia, still touring Lateralus and then in 2008 again in Richmond touring 10000 days. I have a feeling this will be their last album and I wanted to say goodbye properly as this will be my first time seeing them solo and on the West Coast.
Man I just saw them, on 3/11 in Portland, OR. On the next day an iron curtain was lowered with COVID19 hysteria. all venues cancelled, I saw their last show until the tour picks up again! They were more polished on this song like they crafted it better with each live performance. Amazing show, I was row 6, Adam's side. Setlist was perfect. OGT Spiral out.
It's so cool to see justin and adam share the stage..Looks like they're generally having fun again...Pro tip: always sit on justins side for an upgraded experience.
Also I noticed Adams been using an in ear this tour. I wonder exactly what all for considering he has many monitors where he typically stands. I think for the intro to Fear Inoculum and maybe for here in Jambi when he's standing near Justin so he can hear himself as if he were by his monitors.
If you are wondering what Adam is doing next to justin in the beginning, hes rocking back and forth like the guitarist in Mudvaynes music video for ''Dig''
What Adam plays in the beginning is damn cool. Chances are that it might eventually grow into a fully fledged song and might appear in their next album as well. But that will be another 10 year wait :)

Adam looks like he's just a dad that "can play guitar" so indifferent!
Meanwhile Justin is in his own universe 😝
Justin's antics never fail to pull a big ole smile from me. I feel like no one else is a bigger Tool fan lol! We're lucky to have him.
I love Justin. I play bass too and I've been known to do that guitar hump he does when I'm in a groove. Love this dude.
Justin kicks ass period and I’m not a bass player I’m a dummee

Same! He was just as animated at the Milwaukee show. Kept turning to his section and playing for us...super cool
Easily one of the most badass songs ever, never disappoints when live either
Danny Carey’s been having a lot of fun with Jambi lately
Look up his drum clinic of Jambi. You won't be disappointed.
Justin looks and dances more like the old Maynard than Maynard does now
Nothing can resemble old 90's Maynard lol!!
Before Maynard's hip surgery he taught Justin all his old dance moves to ensure his spirit carries on.
Looks like been on lsd to me
I kind of like the current "threatening gargoyle squat" Maynard
Justin Chancellor is the real frontman. 😂😂
Watching Tool perform is probably what it woulda been like to watch Michelangelo paint the Sistine Chapel.
Chadd Skinner touché on that lol
just that they dont hate that.
just that they dont hate doing music in general

I can't 100% tell because of the audio, but it almost sounds like they're playing this in drop D again, instead of C# or drop c, whichever one it was.
This sounds like it's drop D to my ears - were they playing this tuned down previously? I know they've got The Pot tuned way down.
