Damn. He's so right about it being hard to switch a lot in a set between clean vocals and heavier. We didn't have a whole ton of content in my old band back in the day so I had to kind of make a decision and went ahead and sung most of the songs using extreme vocals. Sometimes live I would have to forgo a clean vocal part on a couple songs if they came later in the set. I was lucky though and my scream over the top of the section sounded pretty good too.

I was ass backwards. Back in the day the Tool vid’s turned me off to them. I just didn’t like that Brothers Quaid style stuff.. Then years later A Perfect Circle came out and I feel in love with them, which made me appreciate, love and turn into a big Tool fan.. I’m such a tool.

Then I got to sleep in his master suite (he insisted) while him and his family slept outside on a pile of rocks.
