Love watching your videos…I went the route of the new imr enduron powders I’m using 4451 I did my own ladder test and I found a load with the barns either or ttsx or the tsx 100 gr using a browning bar semi auto weird thing is I-tried mixed brass and different primers and still got 3/4” groups at 100 meters …speed was 3050 give or take …it’s my back up moos gun but mainly deer and coyote up here in Canada …cheers to all
I am not sure on the Hornady GMX, but the Barnes bullets are sensitive to seating depths for prime accuracy . I have not had great luck with Staball 6.5 accuracy but great velocity. I have had great luck with RL-22 in all of my rifles. Just my thoughts.
I didn't have any luck with IMR4350 OR IMR4831 with Hornady 117 gr BTSP either. Shooting these out of a 24" barreled Remington 700 BDL SS. Went to VV N165 and the difference was night and day better! I also have a good load with VV N550. My goal was to try and get powder a little more local, but no dice. 😢 Anyway, my next set with the 25-06 Rem will be with Hornady 117 gr SST, VV N165, N550, and N555. Good luck and stay safe!!! 😉😉😉
I use hybrid 100v and 117 gr sst but I have a savage 110 and a savage axis my buddy also use my hand loads in his rem 700 and they are tack drivers my other buddy had a m77 and couldn't get it do do better than 3/4 in group with everything I tried to hand load for it and different powders I've hers a few people that has the m77 have had a hard time with groups
I know this may sound like it won’t make a difference but it may be worth trying. If you have shot jacketed bullets through the barrel before shooting the solid copper you need to give the barrel a good scrubbing and bring it back to bare metal then shoot the solid coppers through it and it should tighten the groups up. For some reason the copper solids don’t like to play well with the jacketed residue in the barrel.
I have a old m77 tang safety in 25 06. Been loading for it for 30 years now. I use H380 and IMR4350 with a75gr vmax. It shoots good group good at around 2800 fps. With 50gns of powder.
Hogdon has load data for that powder and the 100 gr Barnes. Hornady is giving some anemic velocities for that weight projectiles in that cartridge. I’ve had pretty good luck so far getting Barnes to group. Good luck 👍
Those guys told me they’d asphalt my 1/4 mile driveway for next to nothing. I told them to get a new day job because you can’t pour anything that hardens ontop of slag. “The more you know” 🌠
First of all that 22in barrel is way too short for that caliber you need a 24in barrel ‘ also You will find out reloader26 and H4831sc is your bread and butter 120gr nosler partition 54grs h4831 @ 3050fps or 56grs of R26 at 3118fps is some hard hitting sub MoA Big Game medicine black bear Deer sheep Caribou even adequate for elk approach charges with caution !

Have herd Ruger had barrel problems in some years with the m. 77. And probably others models

REM 700 and T/c venture 25-06 retumbo Hor 110 eldx and Berger 115 vld both .500 and under 100 yds
25-06 rem is another example of a lesser known/produced cartridge with solid ballistics that never caught on because of Remington’s poor marketing.

If you seeing inconsistency with the data I would reach out to Hornady they real good about responding

Thank you. Enjoy.
Speer Hot core 100 gr, W760 near max, Remington 9 1/2, Hornady brass. I've had good luck with that load in my Ruger M77.

Heard recently the ammo companies are having issues getting a decent supply of powder like the rest of us.
