What the...how have I not heard Byzantine before? This cover fucking SHREDS! It really is the best I've heard outside of Megadeth playing it live on stage.
RIP Nick. He made some of my favorite drum recordings of all time. "Trust" is still my favorite 'deth song, in no small part because of that amazing intro.

A friend sent this to me a few years back. He said dude you look like the dude in this video but he can sing and you can’t.
I was instantly hooked to his band.
It didn’t hurt this cover is one of my favorite songs.
I used to butcher the solo to this and I actually used this video to help me with my performance of this for shows.
Even cooler is I got to meet the band and they are literally the “Everyman” some of the coolest down to earth people you’ll ever meet.

@frankfranks2946 this cover was originally posted on Nick Menza's official youtube account in 2020 for the 30th anniversary of Rust in Peace. That account got hacked and wiped, so the video got reposted here. Nick was a fan of the band and wanted to do this song before he passed. This had the blessing of his family. Nothing was done "for views."
