Haha good to see GW is still an expert at balancing. This was pretty brutally onesided, rends, reroll saves, heal and no battleshock.. you can probably beat them with shooting and mobility. But that sounds to me like a rock paper scissors.. do all AoS players need multiple armies ?

What hits harder than an army of angry, buffed up Orks on a charge? Bonereapers standing still lol. Pretty much over when it began sadly. You’d need some Tzeentch or Slaanesh fuggery to beat them at the moment.
Please read the rules in detail!! Empower Nadirite Shields gives a 5+ ignore MORTAL WOUNDS, not any wounds!!! (I checked the FAQ, they didn't change it)
I didn’t think you could use iron jaw formations (iron fist) if you weren’t using iron jawz. I thought since you chose big Wag you lost the ability to take formations in general. Could be wrong tho
Bonereapers are way over the top right now. +1 rend and +1 save, immune to battle-shock, -1 to hit debufs, and healing units. They have everything and their units are really well costed already.
@@ThetaRho- and? Also, which tournament are you referring to? With Tzeentch getting adjusted recently, Petrifex can't be far behind. I think the army on the whole is fine. But the extra tend and +1 save army wide is just to to much.
@@tonylusardi5767 cancon and GW gt heat 1. Anyways, it seems to be mainly casuals making a blanket assumption about the armies strength without actually looking into what the faction suffers from. @@ThetaRho- I don't think you and I have the same definition of casuals who have brought up the incredible power level of Petrifex compared to other armies. It should be interesting to see Petrifex's return to the boogeyman spot now with the latest FAQ.
@@tonylusardi5767 It's common for a brand new army to do well during the pre-adjustment phase after a battletome release. Bonereapers required a more reserved playstyle and a slightly different unit composition from what players were used to. Now that players have had experience, the bonereapers stat have fallen in line with the other factions. The petrifex elite sit at a 50% win rate according to their catalogued tournament stats, and that is fact.
I don't know who thought giving mortek Guard a 3+ rerollable save, 1 inch base hitting on 3's with rend of 1/2, shrug on 6 and resurect dead models in multiple ways was a good ideal. Mortek has absolutely shut down my iron jaws army as there is nothing I can do to kill enough models. My last opponent dropped my leadership by 7 and one dead gore gruntah took the whole unit with him. A unit should not be able to be both an anvil and its own hammer.
The only unit I've seen that can reliably deal with them is that bullshit Stormcast Evocators one. If you're unfamiliar with it, after they've fought, you pick an enemy unit and roll 2 dice for every model in the unit. The enemy unit suffers a mortal wound for every roll of 4+. Even their boosted shields don't stand up to that kind of BS.

@@lich109 As a whole the army is very good at taking hits and dealing out massive damage in return. It then comes with some very potent options form its priests/wizards and can set up great overlapping buffs.
It attacks well and defends well and mostly suffers from a lack of speed. However it has ways around that speed deficit mostly with tunneling units.
400pts of Hearthguard Berserkers+Tunneling priest 'alphabunkers' onto an objective turn 1 and has good odds of sitting them for the rest of the game controlling the objective and annihilating anything that tries to take it from them.
I thought in matched play when your general is slain, you immediately nominate a new general?
Nope
You do it's in the rules
Wow they are so powerful...how do you beat that? Good batrep tho !
What hits harder than an army of angry, buffed up Orks on a charge? Bonereapers standing still lol. Pretty much over when it began sadly. You’d need some Tzeentch or Slaanesh fuggery to beat them at the moment.
Fyre, FEC, Tzeentch, Skavens, Cities ;-)
Would also put the kharadron in there as potential counters. Mobility and shooting are both things the bone boys hate.
So speed and ranged is the key haha my poor khorne xD
First of all, you obviously dont beat them by just charging your whole army mindlessly into his defense line.
could have used a shaman to yeet the Mawcrusha into the backlines a wreak havoc
Nice Shirt Matt as always
Please read the rules in detail!!
Empower Nadirite Shields gives a 5+ ignore MORTAL WOUNDS, not any wounds!!! (I checked the FAQ, they didn't change it)
Army has a 3+? *laughs in Warp Lightning Cannons*
I didn’t think you could use iron jaw formations (iron fist) if you weren’t using iron jawz. I thought since you chose big Wag you lost the ability to take formations in general. Could be wrong tho
Please stop doing the “hammer throwa” dance
Bonereapers are way over the top right now. +1 rend and +1 save, immune to battle-shock, -1 to hit debufs, and healing units. They have everything and their units are really well costed already.
Hoooooo boy are Petrifex begging for the nerf bat. Just to good in an army that is already incredibly powerful
They only had two placings in the top 30 of the most recent tournament...
Analysts have petrifex at a 50% win rate, so rather than a nerf, the bonereapers tome needs a buff to bring the underperforming subfactions more in line with petrifex.
@@ThetaRho- I don't think you and I have the same definition of casuals who have brought up the incredible power level of Petrifex compared to other armies. Pre Tzeentch new book, Petrifix was on a steady climb to be the new boogey man after Slanesh was adjusted as well.
The way they look reminds me of America’s most wanted!
Pretty sure you can't take 2 Gothharvesters?
Peter Olsen why?
@@ryangibson7979 it says unique unit in the points list
Peter Olsen afraid not. Check the Azyr. I double checked the keywords. Nothing on unique.
@@ryangibson7979 my apolegies, I must have mixed the lines, the arch kavalos is right under the Harvester, so I thought the Harvester where unique, my bad :) but thanks for clearing it up!
Peter Olsen no worries. Just making sure I wasn’t missing something as well.
Pre-nerf bringing melee army vs bonereapers was pretty horrible. Not sure does the nerf even really change. Insane.
