  • Took a Greyhound bus from downtown Dallas to San Antonio. The entire journey took about five hours. There was a 10 minutes break in Troy Texas then continue to Austin then San Antonio. It is a very economical way of transportation between downtown of two major Texas cities.

Great video! I have a question. I bought a greyhound ticket on my phone and they gave me a qr code. Do I have to show someone the code to get another ticket or is the qr code on my phone the only ticket?

Also, since I already bought a ticket, when I arrive to a station, do I go somewhere to get checked in or just sit and wait until the bus is called?

I think you show the QR code to the bus driver. Be sure to show the driver one minute before the schedule time. One traveller one minute late and the driver refuse for him to get on bus. The driver said the computer system was lock and in no way the traveller can board since she would not be able to scan the code. You can ask the staff when you arrive the bus station if you have more question.

I mean at least one minute early. Just don't be late. It's better to be like 15 minutes early. Find out which bus go to San Antonio. Then give the bus driver the QR code. After the code been scanned. You can get on to the bus and be seated. The area is small so you should be able to find out which bus going to SA easily .

@@weishingchen I really appreciate the advice! Thanks a lot. Another question. did they bother to weigh any of your bags? If they did weigh them, was it during time they scanned your ticket, or were you required to get it weighed before you lined up for the bus?
