There were two long lines at LIS airport. The first one is security screening line at LIS that was long but most of the airports around the world like that. The real long line at LIS was after the security screening area. Domestic travelers could walk by us to go to domestic flight gates. International travelers formed a long long line in the hallway which surrounded by shops. This is very different arrangements. Airport normally performs security screening first then straight to passport control, then to the hallway surrounded by shops, restaurants, lounges, and flight gates. I didn't know LIS has such a long line before reaching EU passport control. I was puzzled while I was in the long line surrounded by shops until the line approached the EU password control office.

Try to book hotel near central station of a major city, then you can travel between major cities easier, also, familiar with metro system of the city. then you travel to tourist attractions with proper planning. No need to deal with UBER or taxi. My approach is book a hotel in a major city in one of the European countries, then I can travel to a smaller city round trip on that day.

Also, since I already bought a ticket, when I arrive to a station, do I go somewhere to get checked in or just sit and wait until the bus is called?

I think you show the QR code to the bus driver. Be sure to show the driver one minute before the schedule time. One traveller one minute late and the driver refuse for him to get on bus. The driver said the computer system was lock and in no way the traveller can board since she would not be able to scan the code. You can ask the staff when you arrive the bus station if you have more question.

I mean at least one minute early. Just don't be late. It's better to be like 15 minutes early. Find out which bus go to San Antonio. Then give the bus driver the QR code. After the code been scanned. You can get on to the bus and be seated. The area is small so you should be able to find out which bus going to SA easily .

There were flight attendant announcement including AA credit card talk. I muted those announcements and replaced those talks with soundtrack. Probably not a good idea with the soundtrack replacement. Thanks for watching.
