Hi ! Im one of the developers of Flashpoint, good job on showing these classic games
Hey man, glad you found and liked the video. I've been following flashpoint for a bit and really like what it's doing so of course I had to do a video using it. Thanks for your work on it!
Super late but thanks for your work!
@@_Majunior well, Flashpoint is bigger than ever, it's been out for more than 6 years now. Back then it was a small team, now it's a behemoth
The sneeze is Mel Blanc, man of a thousand voices! He voiced nearly every Looney Tunes character
I was thinking it sounded like Bugs Bunny
Probably already know by now, but the stars of Cartoon Cartoon Summer Resort aren't just original characters. They actually are the protagonists of pilots that were shown on Cartoon Network, but were never greenlit to be full series.
Yea. I ended up finding out about after I made the video lol. Thanks for watching!
IVE BEEN LOOKING FOR THE NAME OF THAT GAME FOREVER!!! Cartoon Cartoon Summer Resort. Ahhhhhh, take me back.
The cat character from the Cartoon cartoon summer resort game is from an animation that Chris Savino made, he would go on to create the Loud House
What a blast from the past, I remember playing those point-and-click games way back when. I'm glad a group archived it.
Actually about the Cartoon Cartoon summer resort characters, none of the four are original; all of them appeared in various cartoons that were pitched to Cartoon Network as part of this contest known as 'the big pick' where ten cartoon pilots were played on the channel during an hour long programming block dedicated to the event and viewers would get to vote on which one became a full fledged series.
Uncle Gus is from 'Uncle Gus: for the love of monkeys': ruclips.net/video/QJNizWBXiVM/видео.html (which was made by the same artist who made the big nate series)
Longhair is from 'Longhair and Doubledome': ruclips.net/video/Yt_p36zIOH0/видео.html
Vivian is from 'Foe Paws': ruclips.net/video/3mTtJlBkack/видео.html (Loud House creator Chris Savino is behind that one )
and Prickles is from 'Prickles the Cactus': ruclips.net/video/_Jy019Y3ZpI/видео.html
Unfortunately all four of them ended up losing to 'Grim & Evil' which would eventually become the Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy after winning the big pick; the only other show that got picked up from the contest was 'what ever happened to robot jones?'. The rest ended up but a mere footnote in the history of cartoon network, apart from these four who at least got to star in their own game but even then people don't realize that they almost made the Cartoon Network roster so they might as well be forgotten.
I loved the flash courage game growing up. It was a quick but well made adventure game that i still remember to this day.
I was starting to believe that the cartoon cartoon game was just a fever dream
Kudos for the postopia cameo. Thank you so much for this video, this genre of CN games were one of my favourites and everybody sleeps on it. Summer resort, Creepy TV, and The Envelopes please were the shit back as a kid. There was also the Hollywood horror/ Mayan mayhem Scooby Doo games tho that might’ve been more Warner Brothers.
I'm pretty sure Edd was in the 4-parter because he was one of the main cartoon characters shown in the Cartoon Cartoon Fridays Block
The four playable characters from Summer Resort were from an annual promotional event CN put on. (They only did it twice.) They showed the pilot episode for five or six new shows, back to back, and you could call in and vote for which one would get picked up. I think "Mike, Lou, and Ogg" won the first year and "Megas XLR" won the second, but I'd need to get fact checked on that. But the playable characters were main characters from the first year's losing shows.
Also, the Envelopes game was to coincide with a cartoon award show the network was putting on, that may or may not have been hosted by I. M. Weasel.
But anyway... Oh man! Did I adore these games. Played them dozens of times. CN's site was my favorite website, these specifically were my favorite games. As a dumb kid, episode 2 took me forever lol. Thanks for this!
Oh. And in regards to 2:40, those two shows debuted after Summer Resort.
First year of the cartoon contest was won by the Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy back in 2000, then by Kids Next Door in 2001, and finally by Megas XLR in 2002 (called Lowbrow back then).
Here's the pilots for everyone except uncle gus (he's entirely lost media):

I absolutely love how gormless the sprites in this quadrilogy look.
thank goodness for people who strive to archive these games for the future. they deserve to be preserved. The Blue Falcon flash comic should also be preserved
I remember all of these.
Fun days. I love those old games
Believe it or not, these are all Shockwave games, ik they don't look like one might associate with Shockwave though, so I can definitely understand the confusion. Especially considering fewer people put an emphasis on the fact that Flashpoint has more than just Flash games and animations. Great video btw
holy shit cartoon cartoon bungalow is nostalgic. i completely forgot about it.
So much fucking nostalgia from all these games! Thank you so much for this video I never knew what the cartoon cartoon resort game was called til now
Really really wish I could still play cartoon summer resort still, I cry about it sometimes
You can. The games are on Flashpoint. A lot of games from your childhood might be there. I know it was for me
I wish they made more games in the style of Envelopes Please and Creep TV
I’m glad people are trying to preserve game history
6.1.22
Loved these as a kid!
Woh! So much nostalgia. Thanks for this. 👌👌
If you want to know more about Creep TV, a developer commentary can be found on RUclips. (EDIT: aww, I can't find it anymore. Must have been taken down then...)
And if you ever do a video on more Cartoon Network games, some I recommend are "Flight of the Hamsters", "Bookin Cook", "Tom's Trap-o-matic".
That Bean Bag Tag game used to go hard
i used to play all of these!!!✨✨✨
God i miss the summer resort game!
I forgot about that game and Creep tv
How'd yall miss the ben 10 game
The playable characters in Cartoon Cartoon Summer Resort aren't actually original to the game,. They're all from failed pilots.
Good times.
Is there a way of playing them on Android? Without a keyboard/with a virtual keyboard
4:13 Who's that?
When are you doing a series on your top 10 Newgrounds Nickelodeon porn games ?
Lol I'm pretty sure that would devolve into me talking about Nickolodeon Meet N' Fuck games
I wish there was a way to play bloos big fat awesome house party again. Or orbit
game at 0:47 ????
Grim and Evil: Battle Forts
How do you even download this? (Tutorial)
You need a bittorrent client (qbittorrent, deluge, etc.) and just download and open the .torrent file from the first link in the description. If you want the infinity version (A minimalist build of flashpoint that downloads games as you want to play them) just download the .zip and extract it anywhere and it should work out of the box.

You should talk faster, that sounds like a turtle or something.
