I am not a fan of Ravintsara but do have congestion issues during this time of the year so I made the blend with fewer drops of Ravintsara and increased the Balsam Fir and Orange proportionately. I also decided to use the last bit of my diy Balsam Copaiba - infused jojoba as carrier. The medley of fragrances is captivating and I can feel a slight tingling in my chest already. I usually pretty much stick to each recipe as shown in these presentations, but I am very excited about using the blend that came about as a result of my growing awareness of the properties of essential oils as well as the courage to try out substitutions and different ratios.
Very helpful and all clear on mixing into the amber bottle. My Q is: do I then poor from the amber bottle onto the wick for the inhaler? Or is there a different ratio blend or another way re the inhaler? Thanks!
Great question! Because this blend contains jojoba oil, it is best used topically (: For an inhaler blend, you want just the straight essential oils, no jojoba oil. The inhaler recipe would be 10 drops ravintsara, 5 drops balsam fir, and 3 drops sweet orange. The oils can be dropped directly on the wick inside the inhaler.
