One of the most underrated rock/metal guitarists of all-time IMO. Great interview Jason, thank you for doing this! Carlos looks great, glad he is doing well.

The guy who ran the music store that rented equipment, sold off everything and I ended up with that cab soon after I moved to Hawaii.

Hollywood Allstarz. I set up Vinny's drums for about a year with them. Jimmy Bain, Vinny, Carlos, Chas West and Alan Krigger. Fun times... Carlos and Vicki live about 10 minutes from me. I borrowed her Marshall amp to record one of my band's songs! 😀
Great to see the underrated Carlos Cavazo again! Nice job asking the pertinent questions, but also knowing when not to push too far when it came to the falling out with Frankie Banali. Carlos Always comes off as Pure Class. Great guy ! We went to a packed concert on the last tour of the original 4 members. We got there early and were up against the stage. I remember getting a guitar pick from Carlos. I was front row getting my ears blasted and my ribs crushed!!! I refused to give up my spot to this guys girlfriend. I was ready to head bang and worship Quiet Riot!!! Carlos came up grabbed my hand and placed a guitar pick in my hand. He was a super nice guy.
I must admit I was never a fan of Quiet Riot, but I am impressed with how well Carlos has fared given that there was so much ego and indulgence in the bands of that time. He seems like such a sweet guy who acknowledges the reality of the things beyond his control that had a negative impact on his career, but does not seem bitter about it at all. It is very refreshing to see successful talented people who are down to earth when so many are consumed by their own importance. If all band members were like Carlos, maybe there would not be the revolving door of membership changes and bands touring without one original member. Great interview under very difficult circumstances with the dropouts etc. Thanks
1992 Ballard Firehouse such a awesome show so close so personal! Carlos and Kevin were on fire Frankie wasn't back with the band yet, I was right up front for Slick Black Cadillac Kevin pulled his Mic to me and we sang together so cool! when the concert was over Kevin went out the front with all of us and jumped into a car like he was just one of us. Hey Jason I love your show and all of your guests ! I love Carlos. I grew up in the 80's and Quiet Riot and Ratt are among my favorite bands from that era. Acually all of the bands from then are still what I listen to ! It's what I love !!!
Nice!
Thanks for watching/subscribing

Saw metal health tour live in 1983 in RI cavazos always underrated guitar player. Huge respect.
Carlos was the guitarist who made me want to play guitar.....Thank you 🤟
This is cool. Good to hear from Mr. Cavazo. He's always been a favorite of mine.
I saw Carlos with Ratt and Quiet Riot and what a Class Act a very very very cool guy met him twice in 2003
My band opened up for Ratt on 3 shows, carlos was the only one who spoke to us. A very nice guy.
Thanks to Quiet Riot for some of the best music of my life!
Love this guy. Reason I loved Metal Health.
Great interview. You ask the questions we all want to hear.
I really appreciate that, I try to get things people want to hear or haven’t heard a million times. I hope you enjoy the upcoming interviews!
Thanks
Great interview with Carlos!
Thanks Carol, I’m glad you enjoyed it!
Rock on Carlos!!🎸.
Carlos is a great guitarist and he always comes across as a class act!!!
I agree Richard and he is very cool
Thanks
Thank you very much for your comments and I agree with you. Yes, the connection was extremely difficult
I miss Carlos & Warren, i hope they come back to RATT
OR Do something Else together
1992 Ballard Firehouse such a awesome show so close so personal! Carlos and Kevin were on fire Frankie wasn't back with the band yet, I was right up front for Slick Black Cadillac Kevin pulled his Mic to me and we sang together so cool! when the concert was over Kevin went out the front with all of us and jumped into a car like he was just one of us. Quiet Riot just like Carlos says in this video are real guys that cared about there fans!
I recorded some songs with Rudy. They are on my channel. I was doing soundtracks for movies. He is a great genuine kind fun guy. Carlos is a great player and deserves recognition for being a great player. It's good to see him doing well.
I've always been a fan of Carlos. I stole his opening riff from battle ax and utilized it in my own solo. God i just realized I've been playing this solo since 1983!
I still eye up those old Washburn guitars and refer to them as the Carlos Cavazo guitar 🤘
Love Carlos🎸
Great interview Jason! You asked all the right questions. Carlos seems like a super cool guy. I hope he releases a solo album someday. We need more Carlos!
I saw QR open for the Sabbath Born Again tour. They had 3 encores as an opening band. It was the definition of 80's metal.
Great interview. Love Carlos.
I SAW THE FIRST CONCERT OF QUIET RIOT CONDITION CRITICAL IN CASPER WYOMING IN 1984, IMAGINE THAT, BUT THE HOUSE WAS PACKED & THEY ROCKED THE NIGHT LIKE NO OTHER!! CARLOS IS ONE OF THE MOST UNDEERATED GUITARIST OF ALL TIME!!
Great interview a lot of info I never knew about. LA was big network of musicians who knew someone in music and worked with each other.
Wow,,very cool,,,so long ago,,and great memories
I’m glad you enjoyed it
@@WasteSomeTimewithJasonGreen yea I always like seeing how the musicians from back in the wild years are doing .
Carlos seems like a cool dude
The dog is like “ Let’s wrap this up, I’ve got squirrels to chase”
Great guitarist. Highly underated
Thank you and God bless you Carlos I saw you and the rest of the band in an Intimate venue in El Paso Texas I believe it was 1994
QR came to deep South Texas around 93-94, I’m thinking 93
One of the Greatest Guitar Players ever! Carlos needs to write a Book!
Glad to see you started a channel man - Cant wait to see who you bring on the show
Thank you! Lots of cool guests ahead!
@@WasteSomeTimewithJasonGreen (Rejects)Hey are you guys still playing here in town - haven't been to a lot of shows lately - last time I saw you guys was out on LVB before lockdown
Saw carlos in 83 with quiet Riot openin for iron maiden...,then met him when he played with ratt super nice guy..hella kickass guitarist. Met him again when he played with ma bro joe lynn Turner in big noize..that was a kickass project I wish they would have continued..keep kicking ass n stay well Carlos uncle Frank of metal noize..
The first time I ever saw Carlos play was at Knott's Berry Farm. As I was in a band on another stage that night. He was being carried around on someone's shoulders as he was shredding on the guitar. Had to be the early 80s before quiet riot. Probably Snow. Later became good friends with his brother Tony. One of the nicest bass players I have ever met, as we were both living in Murrieta and Menifee. I don't hear Carlos talking much about his brother. I believe he co-wrote mental health? Either way, this was a great interview.
One of the coolest guys ever. Consider the length of his career, this man is so down to Earth. Great player, loved his take on "Mama we're all crazy now". That lead fits the song so well.
I seen Carlos Cavasso in the 80s when he replaced RANDY in Quiet Riot at the Rosemont Horizon(Chicago) and CARLOS TRUELY HELD THAT BANDS EDGE! ( A TRUE Rock Soldier )
Great podcast great show great guest great host I will be watching all the time peace
Jason! Found your channel randomly through the Greg D’Angelo interview and have seen a bunch more.

SUBSCRIBED BROTHER!!!
