I met Crosby after a gig at a club in Cincinnati . I was 19 , playing AA baseball at the time and he was more interested in talking about playing baseball than anything else ! He said he'd been a good baseball player himself and I believed him . He definitely had the size and strength of a pro athlete and I could tell from the way he spoke about it that he knew the game. I envied his gig and he was fascinated with mine so we had a cool conversation . I was sad when I heard he'd died
No he didn't
@@paulthompson8642 yer kweer
That club had to be Annie’s. I was at the same show and I met Robbin for the first time that night.
@@niccijohnson3530 I think it was either Annie's or Bogarts . I went to so many shows in and around Cincinnati during that time that I can't remember.
@@PlayerToBeNamedLater1973 You sound like me. I frequented both Annie’s and Bogarts a lot during those years.
Robbin's riffs and playing style absolutely anchored the classic Ratt sound. Once he was out of the picture, the whole formula changed. It's almost as if Ratt morphed into a different band without him.
Robbin rocked!! Thanks for being here!
Early Ratt is Robbin, Later Ratt is Warren. Both are awesome. My preference is later Ratt. The album detonator has some of the most tasty and unique playing I have heard in hard rock history, thats all warren.
Robbin is one of my favorite guitarist of all time
Robbin Crosby,Heaven Bless His Tender Soul,Now & Forever:).....
R.I.P ROBBIN
Great interview with Bobby!! I loved how he talks about Robin. Another great musician gone to soon. RIP Robin💔😢🙏
So Glad you enjoyed it!
Robbin's last interview with Mitch Lafon; Robbin felt they all abandoned him. Now they all cry about how they miss him. Bullshit.
The same thing happened to Guns and Roses drummer Steven Adler. Like Steven, Robin's excessive drug use was impacting his ability to play live shows. I believe his death from a herion overdose was a result of his HIV diagnose and feeling that his bandmates and brother's had all but forgot about his contribution to the success of Ratt.
Bobby is an awesome drummer! Been spazzing out on Ratt lately 🤘🏾🔥🔥👏🏾👏🏾👊🏾

Then you should be listening to Stephen Pearcy, not Blotzer, L O L!!!!!!!
Ratt is one of my all time favorite bands. So disappointing that they couldn't keep differences set aside and keep chugging on as a 5 piece unit. So sad when the King passed away. RIP Robin!
I remember the 87 tour. Denver Colorado, front row and Bobby threw me a thumbs up. Next thing I knew, a drum stick came flying through the air and landed right between my fingers as the a-holes behind me dog piled my ass and ripped it from my hands. Four more thumbs up and I finally got one. I now enjoy playing my drums, daily. Thanks for the memories Bobby!
Juan had "show your tits" on the back of his bass. Needless to say, I saw an awful lot of tits that night.
❤❤❤ That show ROCKED! Didn't get a drum stick though...
Check out Robin’s isolated rythmn guitar track to Round and Round!!! SOLID Guitar man!!
What a great interview. I have been on a huge Ratt kick. To me, they are the coolest band. And Bobby Blotzer’s playing is so perfect. He is a team player but also dropped some of what I consider pretty advanced drum fills in certain songs. A lot of ‘modern’ metal drumming is easy stuff that is played fast, but Bobby’s drumming was never like that. He just played the fucking song and always made sure it rocked!
Awesome Comment! Thanks for being here, please subscribe and checkout our RATT Playlist we are working on.
❤ALWAYS a Rattster----my luv for this band never wavers, but C'MON!----no Robbin no Warren NO RATT!RIP you beautiful golden God-Robbin Crosby...Luv u RATT!Good to see you Bobby!xxx
Ratt needs to be together and touring! They would kill it!
Stephen says no. No Robbin, no Ratt.
Warren isn't interested anyway.
😢...but yeah, I get it.
@@scottdunn2178he said he wouldn’t do it without Warren, and Juan and Bobby, and Carlos would come back as well if Warren came back
Bobby is my absolute fav drummer EVER! Anytime I play drums...no matter what song I'm playing....I ask myself..."How would Blotz play this?" His use of accents and odd places he places an extra kick drum beat are just genius...love the guy.
Hey, BB is my favorite drummer. Maybe you can play with us, Spine Chills. Been looking for someone who loves BB drums.
End of the summer in 1985 in Oakland California was A Day on the Green. Victory, YJM Raising Force, Y&T, Metallica, RATT and Scorpions!! I miss those days!! 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
Rest in peace Tawney. She is with Robin now
You must be joking. She was with many men in her life. You think she's going to be "faithful" in the afterlife??
He’s a cool guy, great drummer and really ratt was the glam rock kings .
Loving this. I was deployed Saudi Arabia in August 1990 and missed the release of detonator and somehow never listened to it until now. Shame is such a banger. And learning more details of Robbins passing is sad. Rock on!
I went to a small party at Robins home, it was so cool , and Robin shared some music he was making,
Wonder if people know how Warren got the gig, opening for RATT when Jake was in the band. Warren's band debuted a Randy Rhoads song from the unyet released Diary of a madman, learned it after his drummer recorded an ozzy show off the radio, this was in Burbank the home of Randy...
❤ Thanks for the info...I never k ew!
Love this
Love seeing photos of their good times together....friends 🌼 glad to see this interview
love robin
That wanted poster behind him. A poster of that Looks like that is supposed to come with the box set that that’s what Stephen was saying
Every member of Ratt has great stories of the good times they had with Robbin. It's sad that these "friends" weren't there when he needed them the most. There's a great final interview with Robbin when he was in hospice. I suggest you listen to what Robbin had to say about the band.
Love Ratt one of my 5 top bands ever! When Robyn died the song writing slowed down a lot and those hooks I loved were not there anymore,no disrespect to the others just the music just lost a key component that day he passed.
Saw Ratt with bon jovi opening act way back
What a cool tour!!!!
Bon Jovi weren't worthy of opening for rats.
I've watched old clips of Vic Vergeat with Bobby. Pretty cool to see the raw, early stuff - Bobby already looked like the star, in my opinion. Bobby Blotzer looked like the future, compared to the of the dudes, who were talented, but times were a changing.
Got to see em around 86 and 87 when they came east. My band did a few covers at the time. I loved playing Way Cool Jr. My band mates? Not so much. But girls loved it so it stayed in the set for quite a while.
Great show🤘🏻🙏🏼🎸
Thank you!! Please make sure to subscribe if you have not! Hope to see ya in our live chats!
The Blotz As We All Know Bobby One The Greatest Ever But Huh Jazz'R-N-B Out His Studio Musicianship As Well
In the mid 80’s I joined the Navy and went through basic in San Diego. Was a sonartech and all of my schools were in San Diego as well. Fortunately for me having been into “metal” for a long time at that point and my “C” school being 65 weeks, I went to LA a lot and saw all of the killer bands on the strip. Ratt was one of them and besides my hair being Navy short, I still had a super time and I always have liked RATT. Good job on this interview 🤘🤘🤘
BOBBY BLOTZER my favorite member
I Absolutely loved this! B.B Has Always been one of my faves, and R.C .... ya man...Definitely one of my Faves. In my band (ex band) I would hear this all the time..
Dude you remind me of that guy from Ratt...R.C...and of course I was honored.... I believe B.B actually did a kinda infomercial on us for Perris Records back in the day.
I am a MASSIVE FAN of these guys! Cheers...
Zack Daniels.
Thanks for the comment and feedback! Please subscribe! We truly appreciate it
IF … What if Robin hadn’t picked up a habit . How many of us feel he had to have been the guy that’d held Ratt together . Ratt would be like GnR today .
Great interview
I appreciate that, thank you!
I saw Robin with Stephen at a show in the 90's. At one point Robin stepped up to the mic and bumped his head into it. He left mid song and didn't return.
Great interview.
Thank You 🙏 appreciate it!
Robbin was a monster guitarist. I would put him right up there with George Lynch and Vivian Cambell.
There ya go,,, Them,s up
Blotz talking about King. Sure. Thanks Jim for introducing me to him and the time I spent with him before he passed. He was a character. But then so are you Ham! Haha
Blotz is the best.
Awesome cool 🤘😎👍
Nice job.
We all Robin
Listen to the EP - as Stephen says “Robbin’s all over that record” and he sure is. The quintessential rhythm guitarist, the whole attack of the early Ratt sound was in his right hand. Even his solos on there i liked, dirty, a little sloppy, but totally worked for the song (You think you’re tough) good example
I can never watch premiers because I have to wait for closed captioning to be added but hey, Great interview!
I’m sorry about that. I appreciate that you enjoyed it. Please subscribe.
cool for Bobby to talk about the bands good days and he's correct try having 5 wives lol
I have a wife? and 2 daughters I feel the pain
There's a gal named Shania that is claiming to be Robins daughter, she's made this claim on a couple of "whatever" podcasts.
I have a picture of him but I can’t figure out how to put it on here so you can see.
Join our Facebook group page all links are in our description! Love to see it!
What's up BLOTZER? Remember me from your RAZORS EDGE times? Down in Redondo?
GOD rest robins soul
He talked a bunch about you guys and said you guys were friends with him.
Original drummer ginger baker of cream lol
80tys was very diffrent. Great time to grow up, No phones was great. No one could film debauchery, The best part of being in a band had to be the women and travel
Glad yo're here. #goodtimes Thank's for your comments! Please subscribe!
I cannot believe I watch this and then you cut it and I have to pay to see the rest of it. I will never watch 1 of your videos again.
Good riddance
@@artistsonrecord same to you
😂 you’re still here! You’re voice matters. We appreciate ya
Have a question….do you remember a guy named Jake?
exactly try having 1 wife and a hot neighbor boy tough one the guys
Bobby doesn't belong in the same planet as Eric Singer
He just comes across so arrogant.
Can't stand to here Bob blootzer talk
Robin was great but he looked like a linebacker in drag
blotzer needs to go away
Blotz it's over for you
@cK / Conservative Kirby / cK XI which is obviously you darling 😉
Begs the question: why do you spend your time watching videos featuring interviews with him?
@@PlayerToBeNamedLater1973 it's my job... : (
You do
Ratt and roll motherlover
18000 seats arenas tour?
Opening for who?
Ratt top 3 hard rock bands of all time!(sorry GNR radio/mtv fangurls but it takes 4-5 great albums to get in the top 3).
But never an arena bands?!
Know a year/date concert in a 18 000 seaters that i don't know?
GNR stank. Even Poison were better.
Ratt was an arena since halfway through their first album cycle. Not a stadium band, but yes, an arena band. They had 5 consecutive gold and platinum albums in the U.S. and Canada.
@@machupikachu1085 what tour?
