I never realized what an amazing bass line Maurice laid down till today. Maybe it's just this version, but he really put it down on this one. I don't know if I believe the story about crossing the bridge and calling it "Drive Talkin". Maybe, but I think Barry had Jive Talkin before they were in the studio. Anyway, it's one of the classics of that era. So many good songs to listen to. They got a bad rap being called "just disco". Masterful writing, arrangements, instrumentals and vocal. Love the BG's !!!
So this, and the extended versions of Night Fever and Stayin' Alive you've uploaded, weren't on 12" vinyl singles at the time of release? That's a pity, because they're far and away the best versions. ;-)
