I finally felt as if I were myself. I don’t mean to bore you with this....

I've lived and breathed this song for 45 years, since age 3. First time noticing the use of 7 and 9 chords in the strings counter-melody... very George Martin-esque and lushy. First time realizing the sound in the verses is distorted electric guitar power chords! Now I can add 'rock' into the list of what I always knew this song was a perfect style fusion of - which is funk, classical, R&B, disco, pop and now... it kinda rocks too! Mind. Stopping by to reminisce when I was a wee lad, I would watch my older brother listen to this while he got ready to go to the club, he would imitate that Travolta scene and I would imitate my brother lol )

There will never ever be a greater dance song - and this is like taking the mountain landscape I imagine heaven to be - and getting to jump into it and explore the trees growing on the mountain, walking up to the shore of the lake at the base - and floating in the clouds above the mountain peak...
Absolutely fantastic remix, the echo effects take the track to the next level!!! Sensational!!! Unquestionably the best track they ever did. A haunting masterpiece!
Loved this as a kid. Now 40 years later and after becoming a full fledged musician, I now know why I loved it so much as a kid. The hypnotizing sound of the Rhodes together with the smooth violin section all the while with the funk of the guitar carrying the track. From intro to chorus to bridge to outro, this was truly an amazing track!!

As far as i know it wasn't mixed by anyone else apart from the original team, Bee Gees, Arlbhy Galuten and Karl Richardson back in 1977/78 during the original recording sessions. I was always told that this mix together with the long version of Stayin' Alive (and possibly a few others) were sent to American Radio stations as a promotional 12" single in 1978. It seems though that these mixes were not issued elsewhere which also seems, given the ma$$ive $elling power of these tracks , somewhat odd and £inancially naive!.
