Thank you Anastasia for getting to this! It's crazy that after more than two years of no live performances, they blasted out of the gate like this--no rust, no glitches, no hesitation. And Fami's smile could stop a war. She's obviously happy as a pig in s*** to be in that band.
This was Fami’s (the new bass player) first ever concert with Lovebites, and first large concert of any kind. She's 21 years old! Fami - the nuclear power cell of smiles, joy and energy! Notice Fami slaps those two bass solo sections (which the original bass player, Miho, played finger style) and the bass/drum section after the solos is a joy... Asami's look of support and delight, followed by a thumbs up to Fami. Not only did Lovebites make the perfect choice, Fami BELONGS in Lovebites. The energy is radiating from all members. Haruna's playing is incredible here and her drums sound amazing and of course M&M kill on guitar as you'd expect... but notice Miyako seems invigorated!!! She's moving around, head-banging even, more so than I ever remember seeing. "We're back!" Hell yes, you are! GO! Oh, and Asami sounds better than EVER!
They knew that this was going to be the litmus test for Fami: not only was this her first show with LoveBites, but this was the OPENING SONG OF THE SET. Fami had to nail this, and they were doing everything they could to put her into the spotlight so not only the crowd could see that she could do it, but that she herself could also believe that she could do it. Fami's smile and thumbs up during that bass section was proof of that. It isn't that Fami is a replacement for Miho (no one could replace Miho; she's part of the Wolfpack no matter what); but that Fami was a lone wolf who found her pack, and the pack found her.
We all recognize how great this band is with their amazing songs and how talented they all are. But I am always blown away by how great a frontwoman Asami is. Of course, her vocal abilities are amazing. But the way she commands the stage and the way she engages the crowd, she is like a general up there. And I loved how she gave Fami acknowledgment by giving her a big smile and then pointing at her during Fami's brief solo. I think these ladies are the perfect band in every aspect.
I was doubly impressed with Asami when I learned she is tiny... 4' 10" of charisma and such commanding energy! None of them are taller than 5' 2", but they are GIANTS musically!!! Yes, 'perfect' is a word that fits Lovebites!
In his reactions, David Heretic has repeatedly called Asami a stage general, so you are obviously not the only one who has got this impression. I also appreciate that Asami seems to enjoy the thrashy stuff very much. She co-wrote "Paranoia" and "Dissonance", the latter being the first song by Lovebites to even enter Death (Metal)-territory, at least music-wise.
The whole new album is a drum solo almost. Haruna doesn't need a stand alone solo. She solo's half the time anyway. There is a drum solo break on Soldier Stand Solitarily on the new CD but her shining moment IMO is Victim of Time when the guitar solos start. The drum sound on this is outstanding in the mix.
They do in fact have a new album released earlier this year with Fami on board, and it slays!!! Also, the video of this concert is being released later this month!
It appears that the sound has been converted from stereo to mono. LOVEBITES is one band that absolutely must be listened to in stereo. The sound is much, MUCH better when listened to in stereo.

Yeah, Fami is so cute with her constant smiling all the time. I heared something like she was a bit frustrated before because she didn't found a good band or whatever, and wanted to totally stop playing or at something like that, before she then auditioned for Lovebites and got the job in the end. So yeah, totally happy now it seems and i love it 😄😄🤘🏼🤘🏼
Fami started a solo career, but it was not so successful, thinking that you have many subscribers on YT is not reflected in the success you have musically, another case is Sakura with her band Hagane that went into hiaitus with only 3 years of career

Excellent performance of one of my favourite songs by Lovebites and Fami is obviously one of the slaphappiest (double entendre intended) bassists there are! :) I don't see any other band covering the same range of different old school metal styles and playing on the same level as Lovebites do.
Hopefully we'll have some news on touring by next year. Miyako herself did say that they wanted to tour the US, so they are looking hard into that, but it would be after 2023, because she already has the dates for her piano concertos already scheduled. But they are definitely looking at if they can tour the US.
Fami (the new bassist) obviously has the time of her life. 😀 What a privilege, to play with the best of the best! She brings so much joy on the stage! You already see it in the rehearsal footage "Stand and deliver". 😀 Lovebites were already excellent with the former bassist Miho, but with Fami they just seem to "take off", to get an additional dimension: Their excellence becomes more colorful, "3D", more refined. Incredible. 😄
I saw them in Yokohama this month and don't worry Haruna got a whole solo as part of the set. Also in person she was the thing that stood at the most, her drums were relentless

Glad to see them back and having a blast. Fami seems so happy to be there. Everyone looks great and on point. The only complaint I have is in Midori's guitar solo. I think her amp needs adjusted up as it was a little hard to hear.

In most of the older live videos Miyako was a few months pregnant, hence the big long dresses.
