Nice. Been a long time since I've done that run and a lot has certainly changed.

I like to follow this on the maps App. I wish a window pop up would read the station it passed so I can follow where we are. Thanks.

I like these vids a lot. I wanted to be a freight train driver (or Goods train driver as I remember them) in my younger days but it never eventuated. My only grumble about them is the constant screeching noise of the wheels as the train goes left or right. Why does this happen and what can be done to fix the problem? I note the people in the units at 51:10 and elsewhere thoughtout the vid would be ropeable hearing that noise every time a train goes by

Great video. As a suggestion would you please caption the stations /junctions?

Why did the train sit so far back off the signal at SPJ but yet at Cooks River it came right up to the signal. Choose your own adventure....

Amazing footage. I'm curious why the train doesnt use the SSFL for the run? Also, what was the locomotive? It sounded like a 645 engine when idled. Thanks for uploading and looking forward to more content.

There’s no connection to the SSFL

@@TopHat841 A crossover on city side of Minto would help get this service off the mainline on to SSFL.......but getting Transport & ARTC to play ball is unlikely.

The single point perspective looks like Stanley Kubrick filmed this!

Interesting intermittent remnants of the cancelled freight electrification project.
