Just finished the install. I read one step in the directions, then watched the matching part of the video, then did that step, then re-watched the step on the video to verify that all went well, then on to the next step. No issues. Thank you much. If given a choice between just the directions or just your video, I would choose the video. Good Job!!

@@Robert-uq5ew I ended up just installing everything myself after getting a quote for over $1500. I’ve now flat towed my Maverick a total of around 5k miles with no issue.
Blue Ox base plate kits are a little easier to use and typically have a cleaner appearance once they're installed. If it was our personal vehicle that we were flat towing, we would go with the Blue Ox. Both options are manufactured in the US so if that's an important consideration for you, you won't go wrong either way. www.etrailer.com/Base-Plates/Roadmaster/RM97RR.html
@etrailer Which one did you go with because from what I see, the roadmaster is much better looking than the blue ox, which requires butchering the front bumper.
@@etrailer from the pictures I've viewed it appears there is more cutting out of the Maverick and a less cleaner look. Either way, very good video, thank you for doing this
I feel like such a hacker every time I do one of these!! And no active shuttle Device. It will take longer for your car to heat up in the morning. It could also affect other things. Like AC coldness... Have a great day. I'll mention I've been doing these for 20+ years. I'll leave that here. Just please think twice about doing this to your automobile and please Go to the manufacturer and make sure this will not void your warranty!!! Thank you!!!
People please don't flat tow your automobiles! 3x Harder on it than just driving it!!! Doubles your miles on the running gear! Please just buy a flat bed tow trailer to put your automobile on! Thanks!
For my vehicle, when placed in neutral tow mode, it does not accrue any additional mileage. Plus by pulling it on a trailer, you then have to contend with your RV, your towed vehicle AND the trailer at a campsite. Some campgrounds may have extra parking or storage but most of the ones I use, do not.
I gotta keep coming back because I do want to tell you when you run the wires to your tail lights you have Cut the wires and it does not leave a very good connection just an all around bad bad idea with a new vehicle like this!! Get an older 4 wheel drive with a transfer case so you can put in the neutral and pull it! Use Magnetic lights for turn signals/brakes and running lights on your tow car! Clean with no wire cutting! Plug and play is the way! Thanks!! Ps. Just buy a flat bed automobile trailer!!! In the end it'll save you money!!! Pss thanks again!
We have an NSA tow bar system on our Maverick with the Ready Brute surge brake. No connections needed to vehicle wiring. Just use magnetic wireless lights plugged into motorhome rear wiring 7 pin plug and cable loop around Maverick brake pedal.

Unfortunately we don't. None of our vendors offer a front mounted receiver for a Ford Maverick. I wish we had better news for you!

Does removing the Active Shutter Grill void any part of the Ford warranty?
You'd need to get with Ford about that, we don't know what the warranty implications would be....
