Thank you! I’m considering getting a PBGV but never had a breed requiring more grooming and your video already helped me understand how it is and that it’s not so scary. But I will hire a profesional first before I learn 😊
Thank you. Our PBGVs hair was cut back when about 12 months and now he has the soft hair you mentioned, with little wire hair. Now it’s forever knotty - so thank you for advising not to cut the hair.
Thank you for your feedback Lisa. Unfortunately, there are also petites that do not have a good quality from the beginning. And your only choice may be to cut. Although you can try to work out the underwool with a furminator, underwool comb. It is like a lawn with moss, the moss (undercoat) must be removed to make room for the rough fur.
Thank you for taking the time to make this video. It was very informative. The dogs looks really good after your work has been done:) I have a couple of questions, how often do you find it best to hand strip a Petit? Should we avoid doing it during winter time? It looks like you are not stripping the belly and lower part of chest, am I right? Just some constructive feedback;) Maybe consider starting filming horizontally, it will make your videos much more professional and better to view on bigger screens.
Great video, I have a PBGV lovely dogs such great temperament. What is the best way to get rid of knots? My PBGV Aimee, is only groomed once every few weeks, she isn't a show dog, she doesn't like being shown, she doesn't like her head being touched.

Is it the same process for a grand basset griffon vendeen? Your dog is lovely and so well behaved!

Why do you have to pull the hair out ?? Wont it fall out by itself ?
