Thank you for this review. I just bought one and I noticed that each side corners are no longer shiny. They are matte finish which is more acceptable than glossy ones.
Yea same I just wish I had gotten the red switches instead of the blue, also I will be getting the sk61 with reds for my next keyboard because it’s basically a better gk61
I see that it has already been noted that this is a solid review, but allow me to reinforce that, I have this keyboard, it is as you say. Thank you most kindly for spending the time for create quality work.
I hear that the software alone is a deal breaker. Is that true or does it function pretty well or I guess good enough? I want this because theyre optical and the Celeritas II I tried at the store feels nice as optical switches but I also want wireless so I may go for Anne Pro 2.
The software works properly as long as you give time to learn it, it's not a deal breaker for me personally because most of the time I really don't need it. Depending on your workflow, you may need it to setup some shortcuts and customize layers but unless you use macros, you won't really need the software. Even on my Anne Pro 2, after I setup the layers the way I wanted it to be, I rarely open the software. With that said, if you have the budget, you can not go wrong with the Anne Pro 2. But if you specifically want to try the optical, hot-swappable switch I think the Geek GK61 is one of the best bang for the buck out there for just 2.6k.
@@TechBroll Thanks for the response! I don't plan on changing switches really once i get a new board but I was just asking because the Celeritas board with Optical switches just felt good and when I good it the gk61 is really the only board to show up that's optical. And speaking of the software on the AP2 does it have to be opened for you to acutally use the layer keys you created? I would be making a lot of custom layer functions based on the home/end pgup and pgdown thats missing on the 60% layout. I'll be ordered the Anne Pro 2 most likely. I live in California, do you recommend I order from any company specifically? I'm assuming youre from United States or Philippines maybe? :D
@@johntitor1054 Yes you can lube optical switches. As long as the telios v2 is an optical switch then you can use it on any optical board just not standard since the standard boards need you to solder the switches in.
if you're gonna talk about this keyboard, you might as well bring up the fact that you can literally mod this to make it look like a completely different keyboard. you can buy aluminum and wooden cases for this, aside from the fact that you can change the keycaps for it.
yeah, but with 10% off code and discount from using mobile app you end up with aluminium case costing as much as the keyboard itself, good thing parents of my friend own CNC milling company so im going to get one bad boy just like this only for the cost of aluminium block used www.aliexpress.com/item/Customized-5-angle-Anodized-Aluminium-case-for-60-keyboard-gh60-case-shell-fit-gh60-poker-dz60/32894244499.html?
NOTE: I bought this keyboard recently, and the following things have changed since this review: 1. The sides of the keycaps and the case are no longer glossy 2. The keyboard now comes wrapped in a foam sleeve instead of the plastic bag 3. The cable is no longer braided and no longer includes the velcro retainer 4. The microphone has either been removed or moved to somewhere else on the keyboard 5. The software has been updated and is a lot more intuitive than the software shown here 6. The box has been redesigned 7. The keycap puller is now blue
I bought this keyboard not long ago, it’s extremely fair for the price. All that could improve is key stabilization (it rattles quite a bunch), and the software, the software just seems a little sketchy tbh.
